Drama viewership ratings for the week of Sep. 6-12, 2021
by SailorJumun
We’ve got another strong week in drama ratings. In the Monday-Tuesday slot, Police University and Lovers of the Red Sky continued bringing in solid numbers. They were joined by tvN drama High Class, which premiered to 3.2 percent. Then, midweek, Hospital Playlist’s penultimate episode brought in an all-time high of 13.4 percent.
Over the weekend, after 3 seasons and 48 episodes, the popular series Penthouse came to an end. (It’s weird thinking it’s over, after having it for nearly a year.) The finale brought in 19.1 percent. The newer shows have settled in, Human Disqualification’s numbers going down a bit and Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha’s going up to double digits.

Enjoying Hometown Chacha and Lovers of the Red Sky. I found LRK Episode one very confusing/boring but I love the two main leads, but it improved dramatically and I'm hooked. But honestly the CGI is grim, why does every drama that involves ghosts/apparitions/demons involve writhing clouds of black smoke? Is it a Smoke App that you just apply on demand?

A Smoke App- what a clever idea. BTW the exact sane effect is used in the Chinese Costume Fantasy Drama LOVE AN DESTINY. Maybe it really is an App.

So glad that Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha is in the double digit. It is such an adorable and warm little show. I wonder if it will in the competition for the Daesung award this year?

Thanks to the brilliant main and supporting cast, a good production crew and wonderful script. A rom com has finally hit 10%. Oh..It did it without Song Kang, Eun Woo, IU or Suzie

Happy to see Hometown Cha-cha-cha doing so well. I hope the industry takes something from this. Good cast, good script, story about the whole community, something all ages can watch and enjoy. When the Camellia Blooms and Crash Landing on You had some of the same elements.
