Starring Jinyoung, Krystal, and Cha Tae-hyun, KBS’s latest drama Police University looks like it might be our next dose of drama goodness. Jinyoung plays a hacker turned police cadet who takes a decidedly intellectual approach to policing — a direct contrast to his professor, the veteran detective played by Cha Tae-hyun, who runs on instinct and intuition. The two wind up working together on a case, and I’m hoping for the best of sunbae/hoobae hijinks as these two bring their skill sets (and stubbornness?) to the table. Krystal plays a fellow cadet who also happens to be Jinyoung’s first love, so we can guess where that is heading. Promo material has been really snappy and fun, so I’m hoping that tone carries through to our drama and we get a show that’s full of color, humor, and personality.

Viki US shows it as coming soon, although when I used their search function it didn't show up at all (which seems to be an ongoing issue with Viki).

Any idea why we can't "follow" a show on VIKI anymore? It was great to have a bookmarked list when juggling several dramas.

At least with this series we can feel confident that it won't include a noble idiocy storyline or a three year time jump.

Viki used to immediately put up raw episodes without subtitles. They appear to no longer be doing that, or at least not a much. The downside is we need to wait for the subtitling to be (almost) done before seeing the episode pop up.

Lol. Let's hope not. I really like everyone in the lineup here, but then I also really liked everyone cast in MMH. Pleeeeeeeeease let this one be better.
