Drama viewership ratings for the week of Aug. 23-29, 2021
by SailorJumun
With August wrapping up, the last of our summer shows are wrapping up as well. You Are My Spring ended with 2.4 percent, and On the Verge of Insanity ended with 4.3 percent (its highest rating). Hospital Playlist and Penthouse still have a few weeks left — the former will take a bit longer, as it won’t be airing an episode next week.
As for our newer shows, Police University continued performing well, though it did take a slight dip from last week. Then, over the weekend, Shin Mina and Kim Sun-ho’s much anticipated rom-com Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha premiered, coming out on top with 6.8 percent. Definitely a strong start, so I’ll be keeping an eye on this one!

I just saw the first episode of Hometown Chachacha and really liked it. 😊 I guess many people liked it as well. That seems pretty high for a cable drama 😄

It is fairly high- particularly for a rom-com. But from watching the first two episodes I am not surprised- it is a genuinely good show and because the general story has been done before it is unlikely to crash and burn- and thus the audience has some trust in this drama.

Watched the two available episodes of Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha and really enjoyed them. I hope the show continues to be good. I love both leads.

Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha 6.8% is a pretty good start for a rom-com drama.
(It looks like rom-com and melo are getting lower ratings in Korea...)
I liked both ep.1 and 2.
Hope it will get better and better.
