Park Hae-jin shows Kim Eung-soo who’s boss in new teaser for Old School Intern

MBC has released its first video teaser for their upcoming office comedy Old School Intern, featuring lead actors Park Hae-jin (Forest) and Kim Eung-soo (Chief of Staff).

Park Hae-jin stars in the drama as a man who becomes reunited with his old boss Kim Eung-soo, but their roles have now been reversed. Early in Park’s career, he had had a miserable time working under Kim and putting up with Kim’s old school ways. But now, Park Hae-jin is the one sitting in the boss chair and he’s gleeful about getting his revenge when Kim Eung-soo shows up to work as one of the new interns.

The newly released teaser starts with a close-up of Park Hae-jin in a dream-like sequence. Twinkling music plays in the background and a white-suited Park is bathed in glowing light underneath a shower of pink flowers. As Park Hae-jin preens for the camera, we hear, and soon see, Kim Eung-soo off to the side. He gestures and rants, “Young people these days, there isn’t even one thing that they can do. Every time you ask them to do something, it’s always a complaint about how they can’t or don’t know. In my day, even if no one taught me how, I would take the initiative to figure it out and get it done well. I’m your elder, how dare you blink your eyes like that when your elder is talking to you.”

As the camera slowly pulls back to show the full scene, we see Park Hae-jin still basked in light and sitting comfortably in a posh armchair by a tall vase of flowers. In comparison, Kim Eung-soo sits kneeled amid a pile of ramyun boxes with a large doll of the ramyun company’s mascot propped up behind him. After initially ignoring Kim, Park Hae-jin finally glances sideways at Kim Eung-soo at the end of the rant. Kim quickly bows his head in submission as soon as they make eye contact and the teaser comes to an end.

Writing for the drama is Shin Sora and directing will be helmed by PD Nam Sung-woo (Kill It, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-ju).

MBC’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama Old School Intern is currently set to premiere in May, following Find Me in Your Memory.

Park Hae-jin is handsome, and I take him for a good actor, in general... But man, he has no great luck picking up his projects, except for "my love from another star", I haven't seen him in anything worthy.

Not that I have watched all his dramas, not true, but I watched two whole Chinese dramas he was in. Not good at all...

Cheese in the trap! I have also heard that one was no good. Too many bad reviews, I was not tempted to watch it either. And recently "forest" was a whole big mess

well it is fantastic up until ep 8
and good until ep 12

I agree CITT is at the end of the day, still a great drama for me. I remember counting days back then, excitedly waiting for the next ep, it' just that the last few eps weren't in sync with the rest. And Kim Go Eun is fantastic there as well! This drama is where I fell for PHJ so I still keep on trying to watch his new dramas (never completed them unfortunately)

I loved the drama, even that ending. I had read so many bad things, that when I watched it, I was... "hey, I like it, it's not bad at all".
I really liked him in this one. All actors, in fact.

Eh to Park Hae-Jin. I wonder if the female co-star is up to his high beauty standards?

Office comedy? Interesting, MBC had one that was called Radiant Office that was highly underrated.

This premise is gold - if I watch the first episode and it isn't miserable, I could stick with this one.

I hope this turns out to be a comedic gold! I like PHJ but honestly, I haven't liked any of his dramas where he led...I liked Cheese in the beginning but it went downhill...

Fingers crossed this doesn’t suck. I’m looking forward to it. It’s been a while and I want to watch something with PHJ in it. Haven’t watched him in anything since Cheese in the trap.

Glowing, I can deal with, but oh goodness, please no sparkles.... Any time I see someone sparkly, I’m reminded of 2 (not great) things:
1. Twilight
2. Hyun Bin’s sequinned tracksuits in “Secret Garden”

*GASP* how can you not like Hyun Bin's sequined tracksuits?!? They were hand-sewn stitch-by-stitch by a famous Italian designer!

If this one proves to be a flop still, maybe oppa should consider like changing agencies or manager or marrying me or something to start afresh.
