Taecyeon sees no death for Lee Yeon-hee in first teaser for The Game: Towards Zero

The first teaser for supernatural crime-thriller The Game: Towards Zero has dropped. Taecyeon (Rescue Me) features as the clairvoyant who can see the moment before people’s deaths. Lee Yeon-hee (The Package) plays a violent crimes investigator who is pursuing a 20-year-old murder case nicknamed the “Zero Murder.” Finally, Im Joo-hwan (The Great Show) plays the medical forensics examiner who recognizes the sixth sense that Taecyeon has.

The teaser begins with Taecyeon being puzzled because he’s found the first person whose death he cannot see. Jung Dong-hwan’s (Money Game) questions whether it’s an ill-fated relationship, and we jump to Im Joo-hwan’s first meeting with Taecyeon. Im states that he’s heard Taecyeon’s quite talented, but the word he uses can also mean talent in a supernatural sense.

The scene transitions to Lee Yeon-hee and Im Joo-hwan walking and smiling together, but we can hear a frantic Taecyeon angrily asking what someone wants. Lee Yeon-hee calls his name, and Taecyeon repeats again that it’s the first time he’s met someone whose death he cannot see. He admits that he’s anxious and scared, and Jung Dong-hwan asks whether he feels like the anxiety would go away if he could prevent that person’s death.

Several flashby scenes of Lee Yeon-hee are shown, and she says that there are such things as miracles; they happen when someone desperately and whole-heartedly wish for something. It ends with her pointing a gun, and a closeup of Taecyeon’s eyes as he confesses that it’s the first time that someone has made his heart flutter.

Written by Lee Ji-hyo and co-directed by Jang Joon-ho and Noh Young-seob, MBC drama The Game: Towards Zero will begin airing on Wednesday-Thursday starting January 22.

ooooh i'm into it. that said, the fact that im joo-hwan is still stuck playing second fiddle to considerably less skilled actors is ridiculous.

I don’t know why I get the feeling Ok Taecyeon is, once again, about to be overshadowed by his co-stars. I do love him but...
I wonder how I’m Joo-Hwan chooses his projects. I know he’s talented, young and good looking enough (because talent is not what you need to be a lead) to spearhead his own drama. I’m wondering why it hasn’t happened. Is it an intentional decision?

Could it be Im Joo-hwan has not been offered lead roles?

I adore Ok Taecyeon and am getting a little tired of all the bashing he gets here. I've enjoyed everything he's been in.

Exactly how I feel!

Though that still doesn't stop me from feeling disappointed with Im Joo Hwan's roles.
