Hyun Bin, Sohn Ye-jin in new stills and poster for tvN Crash Landing on You

tvN’s upcoming romance Crash Landing on You (formerly Love’s Crash Landing) has released new stills and a poster featuring its lead actors, Hyun Bin (Memories of the Alhambra) and Sohn Ye-jin (Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food).

Although not shown in this batch of promo material, the cast line-up for the drama also includes Seo Ji-hye (Heart Surgeons), Kim Jung-hyun (Time), Oh Man-seok (Partners For Justice 2), and Kim Jung-nan (Doctor Prisoner).

The story starts on a windy day when a paragliding mishap leads chaebol heiress Yoon Se-ri (played by Sohn Ye-jin) to make a crash landing on North Korean soil. There, she is discovered by military officer Lee Jung-hyuk (played by Hyun Bin) who makes the decision to hide and protect her, and the two fall in love despite the stakes against them.

The newly released poster has a wistful feel and features the two actors sitting together by a fire at dusk, under a star-filled night sky. The tagline reads, “As if a lie, she crashed into his world.”

The character photos feature Hyun Bin in uniform as a special-level commissioned officer in North Korea. He excels in his position being highly skilled and thorough in his work, and is thought to be one of the best as Captain in the North Korean army.

Sohn Ye-jin is shown dressed in a long floral gown at some kind of function. Although her character grew up in wealth, as the third generation in her chaebol family, she is proud to have established a fashion label on her own and is now a successful CEO in her own rights.

Stills were also released of the two actors together enjoying a rendezvous abroad, sometime after the initial crash-meet, in a small idyllic town in Switzerland.

Written by Park Ji-eun (Legend of the Blue Sea, You From Another Star) and directed by PD Lee Jung-hyo (Romance Is a Bonus Book, Life on Mars), tvN’s new Saturday-Sunday drama Crash Landing on You is currently set to premiere on December 14.
