Kang Hye-jung considers returning to dramaland in Jugglers
by tineybeanie
Quirky, cute actress Kang Hye-jung (Lucid Dream) is eyeing a return to dramaland after a lengthy stay in Chungmuro. She’s been recently offered the lead role in Jugglers, the office drama that has also been courting Yoon Kyun-sang (Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People). It tells the story of the relationship between a boss who has no concern for others, and a secretary who cares for others too much.
If Kang Hye-jung confirms, it’ll be her first drama in five years since Marriage Plot. She’s up for the role of the secretary—she’s sacrificing to a fault, having lived for the last fifteen years as a full-time housewife, selflessly always supporting her family. She returns to the workforce when one day her husband doesn’t come back from a mountain hike, and she becomes employed as a sports business director’s rookie secretary. She’s naive in the ways of the world and too kindhearted, so I can already predict that people will try to take advantage of her good will as she faces this new challenge.
Initial reports described the lead male character as a man who is indifferent to all other people, only concerned with doing his work himself. For his stoic personality and good looks, he’s highly sought after by the ladies, but he has no interest in any. So we’re looking at two very extreme individuals—one who is wholly a giver, and one who tries to be entirely independent of others.
From what I know of the real Kang Hye-jung from Superman Is Back, she’s definitely the dominant one in her relationship with Tablo, and was the main household breadwinner for a while. So I’m interested to see how she’ll completely transform for this new role. The character descriptions make me think back to what Introverted Boss could have been. But since KBS has a pretty good record with office dramas, especially with their most recent, Chief Kim, hopefully they’ll knock this one out of the park as well.
KBS’s Monday-Tuesday drama Jugglers has been slated for a premiere in December, after currently airing Witch’s Courtroom ends.

KBS is on a roll for me with their line-up (Witch's Court & Mad Dog, only waiting for Go Back Spouses to be as quirky as promised in the trailers, then I'll have three KBS dramas that I'll be following.
As for Jugglers, premise sounds too common with a cold-hearted lead versus the naive heroine. But hopefully after more details it will interest me, because it has been proven countless of times that what sounds boring on paper can be exciting depending on the execution.

And all of a sudden I'm very interested in this. I thought Jung Hye-sung was given the lead role and felt lukewarm since I don't think she's ready for that.
But Kang Hye-jung? Yeah, I'm in. She's a solid actor, and hasn't been in dramas for a long time.

Actually, I made a mistake.
This is a different drama than the other one. Yoon Kyun-sang was up something else too. Well, he's confirmed that one so I don't think he'll be in this.
Which is fine by me since I've already seen him in Rebel this year and can skip that other drama.
Let's get So Ji Sub or Joo Sang Wook in this.

But Epik High is soon going to release it's new album. Tablo is super busy right now and will remain so for a while. She has to take care of her daughter. How is it possible for her to take the lead role?

Haru is 7 years old, I'm sure she can deal with spending time with a nanny. Let's stop with the "women need to have no other life besides their family"-bullshit, it's 2017.
