I have been so busy with my postcards today I have only eaten one rice cookie and a pickle. Random things that lie around, am I turning into Ahn Dan Tae I wonder? It would be nice to just be a bum. Can´t wait for Siwons´ new drama. I am soo ready to have fun.
I also discovered I am, still, a hipster. I buy artisan bread, I read only art sphere magazines, I use a curtain as a table cloth, I live in a trendy ghetto and my profession is pretty much an expensive hobby that consumes more money than it makes. Reality of art people....
Speaking of, why oh why did we not see Eun Ho´s drawings taking her somewhere, but ended on a rather depressing note it might be just an unfulfilled dream and Tae Woon SHOULD have gone abroad this time to pursue design. The few times that it makes sense... his dad could cover both their expenses to be fair. Unless he had to pay a hefty fine ... In the „young hopeful artist“ sense I am not satisfied with this. But still, the thing that was emphasized is the „only 18“ part. They are young and it can go anywhere. And I am glad at least they had a creative future in mind. (I so have the feeling it was the writers´ own past experience or someone they knew, it feels autobiographic).
Things must be changing on drama scene when heroes are starting their own companies and dreaming of a non-profitable job... which may or may not lead to being a bum. But better to be a bum than do something you don´t like all your life? No? Yes?
People might get rich with an app or something very random. Nowadays you never know what the next trend is. (I hope it is me!!! Buy my postcards!!!! Bhahahahahah! Says every artist ever).

Is anyone watching Hospital Ship? I mentioned last time that it seems ridiculous that they are conducting surgery on board a rocking ship - and medically knowledgeable beanies said it may be possible to carry out an appendectomy. BUT now they've gone and reattached a whole arm in the midst of a storm!! @allly and @michykdrama - surely this is ridiculous! ?

I'm watching hospital ship too! I just miss seeing Ha jiwon on my screen that I just don't think too much about the medical aspects. Tho I'm not sure if its really a common occurence that surgeons perform surgery out of their specialty and succeed just through a video chat guidance?

Very!!! I haven't seen these episodes because I've been dealing with real life medical drama, and it certainly doesn't include having surgery during a sea storm. I'm probably not going to stay on top of live watching this one--if it was even half as good as RDTK, I'd try. But it just isn't in terms of the medicine and I can only suspend by disbelief for so long.

Hospital Ship is one one the dumbest dramas I have seen in a while. One of those I am watching just to see what the facepalm score is. About as realistic and logical as a politicians promises.

This show really lays the melodrama on thick and heavy. It was good for a change of pace in the beginning, but it has to do something soon to keep me interested.

I've always had a thing for medical dramas which is why in watching hospital ship i think for the plot and medical accuracy its abit meh and maybe less than average base on what i see but i do think the acting is pretty good (i mean there's ha ji won afterall) and i feel it has a lot of heart (at least for me) espicially this latest episode, yes the plot isn't exactly fresh but you can never go wrong with an arc about a mother dying and the daughter not knowing

I wanted to like this drama but started rolling my eyes when they show a person whose hand was just chopped off sitting there nonchalantly! Like, seriously, shouldn't he be in so much pain and shock that he'd be passed out? Also, why do writers think it's cute to show people physically abusing another? When that patient was pulling the doctor's hair, why did no one help her and instead tried to cajole the abuser? Where's the respect one would usually show to a professional? Probably the thing that irked me the most was when the male lead wrist grabbed (several times) his more senior, in age and experience, colleague.

Hello everyone! Has anyone here watched TvN's Leaving The Nest? The children of some Korean actors/actresses (can't remember their names) were sent to Nepal so that they learn to be independent and they also have missions given. It's quite an interesting show actually. I missed the earlier eps (now it's ep 5 already). Hope I can find them online!

I couldn't find the show with english sub, but still watched the whole 8 episodes with whatever little I could understand (which is very little), wish this show would be subbed, I would like to understand the conversations they have. Still the show was very interesting, group dynamics is good. Wonder why TVN variety shows don't get subbed as much?

Hi Thendral!
Yay! Glad to find someone who has watched it! Yeah, the group dynamics is good! I thought there'd be some brats there, considering their kids of celebs, but like there's none! Well, usually varieties that get subbed are those featuring idols. The kids in this show speak good English, so that will help even with no subs. I wonder where they get their education from, whether locally or overseas.
What got me hooked was the love triangle in the earlier ep and the parents' reaction, haha!

Yes, watched after I saw your post . I did get the general flow of the show, but would really like to understand what they're saying, like when the kids sit down initially and Jiyun and Yuri talk for a bit, was not sure what they were saying, and when Daemyun lifts Yuri and he says something, there is that reaction from Yuri, couldn't understand that bit. But their interaction is so sweet. Confidence is always attractive. What really worked was all kids had a good attitude and knew how to have clean fun. But in the beginning I thought why come to Pokara and make the kids run after lighting a wood fire. That initial write up was so Three meals a day, but the kids did turn it around and make it interesting to watch. Later when they get comfortable with each other and head out and mingle and talk with people, it makes it more interesting. Would love to rewatch if it ever gets subbed.

OT week 31. Even though this was a short week, I found myself longing for the weekend yesterday (and I only worked the previous 2 days)! But really just hoping and praying that those in the path of hurricane Irma stay safe (including my parents and brother). So those beanies in the path of the storm, “Fighting!!!!!”
Thank you to everyone who played my Hospital Ship OTP game! And those of you who have no idea what I’m talking about, see my wall. If you’re over 32 years old, you’ll have more fun with it. I did watch Hospital Ship last weekend, and life may be too crazy right now to continue with it, but I think I’d enjoy it just for the bromance, which is what I'm invested in at this point. Those boys are too adorable.
Otherwise, I’m barely hanging on to The King Loves now, and hubby is still watching it with me, to my own amusement. I’m having more fun watching him watch it, because I keep saying that no one knows the end game and he’s still holding out hope for Won and San, which the past week may be closer to than ever before (even if there was a weak kiss between Rin and San). This week better be amazing though, but we’ll be on our way to Canada the week after, so I’ll have an excuse not to watch it if it crashes and burns.
So, conversation time. It’s been a while since hubby and I had an actual conversation about a drama we were both watching, until this week.
Hubby: That Rin is a “schmuck.” *after the unwelcome kiss with San*
Wife: Isn’t it interesting that most girls like a “Rin” with their soft demeanor, rather than a “Won” with their tempers and possessiveness.
Hubby: Won is no better this week, he’s getting annoying too.
Wife: They all can’t be like you, honey. *can.not.contain.laughter*
Hubby: Rin’s still a “schmuck.” He’d be boring in real life.
And that was the end of that, because I can’t have a shipping war in my own house. LOL!
Moral of the story: Getting older is not necessarily a bad thing when you can have a noona romance with someone 13 years your junior. #akahospitalship
2nd moral: Ships and politics don't sail in a happy home.
3rd moral: Stay safe out there, especially during hurricane season!

The King Loves is still really well made, but it does feel a bit like it's spinning in circles lately. Make Won bad or pick a lane, drama! Too funny about the opposing ships. They need to make San actually say it out loud to stop the wars! You are good to hold your tongue about it :)
I didn't see your Hospital Ship OTP game, but I'm 34 so it totally applies to me! I'd have to pick Hong Jong Hyun or Ji Chang Wook. Not as big of a gap as the Hospital Ship one, but still...

So, your OTPs would be 21 years old this year. The game was to find the actors 13 years younger than you who you would play opposite of if you were the heroine of Hospital Ship. It just so happens that Hong Jong Hyun is 13 years younger than me, so I'm not complaining there. I also had Kang Ha Neul, Sung Joon, and Go Kyung Pyo. It's pretty funny what years seem to have all the good actors. 1990 was a good year, as was 1987. We ahjummas have all the fun!

Just finished watching the latest Hospital Ship episodes. Hmm, wonder what's next in the miraculous-surgery-possible-on-a-ship plot device. It appears to be heading to a live donor liver transplant on the ship while in a hurricane scenarios.
I think the writers were probably embarrassed enough not to dwell on it for more than a few minutes, thankfully. So let's enjoy this drama without thinking too much about the LOTT (ludicrously over the top) medicine. Sorta feel like this has become a medical MacGyver show... ha ha.

Bad form replying to myself, but can the writer also attempt to depict familial conflict without the histrionic conversations. How about dignified, intelligent conversations between adults about disagreements cleverly depicting the conflicting viewpoints and emotional buildup? Might also want to try that for a change of pace? Hmm?

They arranged the whole thing, it seemed, like within minutes. A transplant!!!
I mean, certain transplants do often happen fast, but that's usually with patients that have been tested and prepped extensively (and been waitlisted for weeks or months) and donors where they know the details too.

<familial conflict without the histrionic conversations
I feel like this doesn't exist in dramaland. Characters always meet absolute strangers and automatically assume the worst, yelling, hitting, dragging them – you name it. Not much different with family members eithers. It's never much sense to me, not in family scenarios, not in accidentally-bump-into-a-random-stranger-on-the-street scenarios, not in at-work-throwing-a-hissy-fit-because-somehow-that's-not-totally-unprofessional....
I also wondered the other day, when – other than perhaps a few fated-childhood-lovers – was the last time an OTP first met without starting off clashing and/or having a totally wrong (unjustifiably so) impression of each other? Well, maybe there are some dramas where the OTP doesn't start off on the wrong foot, but the majority seem to suggest that romance can only happen if it begins with conflict.

I agree about the lack of regular conversations, I miss them! About the OTPs I remembered Shopping King Louis, every drama in which the OTP began as friends as in Fight my Way, Best Hit didn't have much of a clash either, On the Way to the Airport, and an oldie, Coffee Prince. :)

Goodness. I guess I'm gonna stay far far away from it then. Live donor liver surgery is difficult even on stable dry land, and the post op care for the patient who gets the liver is intensive and complicated. Though yes, it is dramaland, I need some realism! I don't do LOTT, at least for medical stuff. ?

Well, I did spend a couple hours reviewing ECG 's after I saw the ECG on Hospital Ship and the 3 diagnoses that it said it had on it. Actually, NONE of them were on the ECG, at least obviously to me. There may have been some ST elevation in one of the leads, signalling a possible myocardial infarction. But I think I was just making that up just to make me feel better about why they would put a perfectly normal ECG and make it a focus of the scene. Also, if she did have ECG abnormalities like that, at least give her some aspirin--which the IM doctor didn't, just said to follow up at the hospital--and we know how effective that was! So, after that, I'm not that excited to watch this week's episodes. And the whole ax to the wrist for compartment syndrome was just CRAY-CRAY, and she looked possessed when she did it. At least, I'm assuming it was compartment syndrome. Okay, enough venting for now.

That was so bad. No one – not the coast guard, no the helicopter – could get to them because the storm was so wild and furious and they were isolated somewhere far from any shore, yet the ship was as if frozen in Artic ice for a thousand years, not even swaying the tiniest bit (like you would even on calm, sunny seas) when they were doing the damn operation?!?! You just can't cut people up without explaining first the rationale. It makes patient even more anxious and makes blood pressure to shoot up. Gosh, I still can't get past episode 5! Hospital Ship is one of those shows that is so bad that it is funny. Just so much wrong with it it would take pages to list them all, but a few of my favorites:
1. Totally know-nothing doctors - including a "traditional medicine" doctor on a Hospital Ship?
2. Not only is the lead lady doctor more skilled than "Doctor X", she also manages to float around from village to village AND work full time in a hospital ER hours away from where the ship operates.
3. The shaman lady.. not so much that they had a shaman, that is not uncommon. What made it really bad was that they actually seemed to be actively pushing the superstitious nonsense as being real.

It seems that the hospital ship doesn't operate everyday, or the routes they take are not that far, so that they already finished in the evening, seeing how often the events in the drama taken on the land. Also, If they do visit those islands, at least they can show those people in the island and the dynamics too....

I am a big fan of Korean dramas but seldom bother to check on their movies. Recently happened to watch one of Son Ye Jin's early hits "My Wife Got Married" and was uncomfortable by the explicit nudity and sex scene. And my eyes could not believe that the performer is Son Ye Jin! Then I happened to watch few other Korean movies namely Tazza, Scarlet Innocent, The Housemaid and again, I was stunned by the graphic of nudity and love scenes. Tbh, I find Korean movies showcased more nudity and sex than Hollywood movies. For the most part, I am surprised that quite a handful of Korean actors have no qualm taking their clothes off in the name of art (I am not condemning) because growing up watching Hong Kong movies, any HK actor career would be over once they appear topless, let alone naked on screen. And being conservative, I think I will stay away from watching K-movies and just settled with dramas.

I always check out IMDb's Parents Guide. Most of the time it'd give you detail information on sex and nudity, drugs, number of f words that is being said in the whole movie etc.
I'd also read all reviews that I can get my hands on before I watch one.

I'm terrible at explaining this but I totally understand.
I tried to marathon Jo Seung-woo's films a couple years ago but I couldn't get through hardcore violence, explicit sex, language etc in "Inside Men" despite the raving reviews.
Parents Guide is spot on http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3779028/parentalguide?ref_=tt_stry_pg
There are a lot of great films out there that I've ff through the stuff they I don't want to see.
While I understand that it's a visual expression of dramatic storytelling etc. I'm not ready to go through that kind of experience that hardcore movie geeks go through and I can't write an honest review because I didn't experience everything that the film has to offer.
"A Taxi Driver" is my kind of film. Only Bong Joon-ho and Lee Joon-dong will make me watch some of their R-rated movies from beginning to end.

I think I am entering a drama slump. School 2017 ended, I have fallen behind on Live Up To Your Name and undecided on The King Loves.
I said before that I'd fine if Won-San is the end game even though I like Rin-San. What I do not like is nonsensical writing or writer trolling viewers (as I've learnt). Why is there so much emphasis on keeping it secret who is the one San truly loves or playing tricks on viewers so that both couplings seem possible? Can't they just focus on writing a coherent plot and consistent characters?
I have not watched the latest eps because if the story is going to be all a "you guess it wrong/right!" kind of game, I am out. Curiosity got the better of me so I went to check out forums. Boy, did they help, not! One site even said DB recappers are biased. I read the recaps and couldn't see the bias, is it because I am on the same ship? I didn't think so.

Is there a possibility she truly loves both?? LOL even a non-watcher is interested who will she choose! Song Ji-nah probably wanted to try the formula like Reply franchise to attract viewers, but if it is true, I'm disappointed. Hope this is not a trend, second lead syndrome is fine for me, but not with the uncertain OTP. I don't like when writer plays with my heart, in a bad way.

i was terribly burn by reply 1988, that i dont want to go through whole emotional manipulation again. i only watch 1st ep of TKL with my older bro, and by the end scene i can already predict what will happen.so, nah! not going through it again.
like i said, this uncertain love triangle/ husband hunting plot should not be the norm to get rating. its exhausting and you make your character getting unnecessary hate. i confess, it took me time to separate park bogum from Taek because im too much in love with Junghwan back then. i hope people will not do the same thing for either im siwan/ hong jong hyun/ yoona.
why cant song jinah follow the original material a bit? i mean its clear who yoona love in the book. why drag the uncertainty until now? there is only 4 episode left as far as i know.

Re: The King Loves - up until the latest episode the show was pretty clear that she loved the second lead, and it still seems to be heading that way. The main girl made a comment about how she felt tied to Won, but to me it still seemed as though she doesn't have romantic feelings for him, just a strong friendship. Then again I prefer Rin for her, so maybe I am biased!!
TL;DR - I totally agree that trolling the viewers is annoying, and I wish they'd just have her speak her feelings clearly so the shipping wars would stop and people would stop looking for clues for their ship that may or may not even be there.

I've never had any doubt that she liked Rin, as in like like. But she really also likes Won as a friend. She might have been attracted to won in the beginning, but so many things happened to her that she changed as a person and she began falling for Rin. You can see the way she steals glances at Rin. And how she's so free and not shy with Won, but very aware of herself when she's with Rin.
The queen's reaction to her was also very telling. The queen knows that she loves Rin and it hurts her to give that news to Won.
And Won too knows at some level. But he's so sure that Rin will never steal "his" woman that he thinks he has the time to convince San that he's the man for her.

I forgot to mention, that I think she feels tied to Won only because she didn't put a stop to his wooing right in the beginning. She feels she led him on (which I think might be true). And she doesn't want to him to feel betrayed by the two people he trusts the most.

Done re-watching Age of Youth season 1 with my friend and now I'm rewatching epi 1-4 season 2 with her while waiting for epi 5! Glad we are watching same drama again after Forest of Secrets ❤ We are having fun discussing about characters and the plot. @juniper It wasn't as weird as I thought it would be. But one thing, I have more trouble to adjust with new Eun-jae. LOL. Not only her face is different, but her character gives a different vibe. So I think better don't rewatch season 1. We are now waiting for epi 5 to be subbed. Some drama /movies are great to watch with friends, it made us more excited. But I don't like to watch with many friends at the same time, it will be a disturbance lol.

Yeah, I'm having some issues with the new Eun-jae as well, even without watching season 1 again. The performance is about on the same level, but I completely agree about her vibe being different. She seems less spacey and more petulant imo.
The only thing I like to watch with a lot of people is sports. I'm okay watching shows with one or two people I trust not to talk during it, but any more than that and I'm so neurotic I'll just ruin it for myself lol. I enjoy watching Park Yeon-seon dramas with a friend, though, because I love her characters so much, and she's one of the few writers that can still turn me into a giddy fangirl.

Hi Everyone! ...... I hope you are all doing well today!
Been watching news coverage about the hurricanes. Definitely hoping that any Beanies and anyone else who may find themselves in the path of these intense storms are safe and sound. ...... Also just heard that there was an 8.1 earthquake in Mexico. Again, hoping for the safety and well-being of the people caught up in the quake.
This week:
Falsify - Up to episode 6 (ep 12, new counting method). I want to really know who the tattooed baddie is. I think that's coming up in the next episode though.
Live Up to Your Name - Seriously, this is really, really fun to watch. But you know who isn't really fun? Jae-ha. I know we still don't have his full story, but he looks like he's going to lash out at any moment. I have this unsettling idea that he'd resort to lacing Im's acupuncture needles with poison or something like that. On another note, dude, she's just not that into you.
That's all for now. ...... Take care everyone and have a great Friday!

I've seen the coverage too. It's really brutal. Just one disaster right after another. I know there's a Beanie in Puerto Rico and I hope they're safe. All other Beanies i hope you're okay too.
In the western US it's been fire season and it's everywhere. My brother's a wildfire firefighter so it's hard. Thankfully all he has is horrible poison oak contact and lack of regular showers.
I've been trying to make time to watch Live Up to Your Name since A I've only seen/heard good things and B I don't want to get too behind...but there are so many dramas I want to watch right now.
Have an awesome weekend.

LUTYN - it is always fun when an actor is very dedicated to the character he playes and gets absorbed in the role. and I also think Yeon-Kyung is very doctor-like. People say she is too rude and unfair, but from my experience doctors can often seem rough and incosiderate, they always have to act quick and they don´t have time to consider your feelings, your humiliation, your surprise, your hesitation. they can be very nice, too, but it is really a jackpot if the doctor is efficient AND nice.

Manhole: “I guess she missed her husband.” Pil is getting dizzy from time travel and so am I. I’m starting to wonder if piecing the relationship information together is going to be worth it (for me).
Hospital Ship: Moody. Broody. Extreme. (An axe? Yikes!)
Hyori’s Bed and Breakfast: “Addicted to wind.”
Water issues, yoga, three police women, five cigarette salesmen hiking in suits to get the perfect picture with 90% sky. IU escaped and flew to her brother’s graduation in the US. Maybe she'll stay there.
Fantastic Duo: Taeyang and Z Young – looks like the best competition ever! The Eyes, Nose, Ears collaboration was phenomenal! Although I often mistakenly think it's ENT (doctor specialty). Can’t wait for part 2. Oh, and Taeyang on I Live Alone, like a grandpa with white hair in a senior community wearing pjs all day and watching cooking shows. He is making the variety rounds; no one’s complaining.
The Man Who Sets the Table: It was a whirlwind first two episodes of a weekend kdrama with everyone converging at Dysfunction Junction. I like the half-sibling “sisters.”
Hello, Detective Hedgehog | Hello Hari Nezumi ( Jdrama): Eita is back! He is part of an alternative detective agency that takes cases that others won’t. The first episode was Japanese bizarre.
It’s 90s hot here and air quality is red with forest fires blazing in three surrounding states. No special weekend plans, how about you?

To help me catch up to them and not lose sight of the currently airing dramas; I am watching Secret Forest (old drama) and age of youth (currently airing). The plan is to do this until I've watched as many of the good dramas as I can, before I can now go back to the less than stellar ones. Hello Beanies!
I'm embracing my last few days before I start working. I'm still watching multiple dramas in a week as usual.
I've finally dropped Criminal Minds after last week's episodes and I just wish that Lee Jun Ki will have better project next time. I kinda feel empty now that School 2017 is over. I'm still not sure if I wanna watch Girl's Generation 1979 drama. I don't watch Hospital Ship, not really a big fan of medical melodrama. Manhole's storyline is all over the place and I've given up on the story; I'm just gonna watch it because of Jaejoong. As for Reunited Worlds, it's just meh meh and meh to me and I'm a bit mad that this drama has 20 episodes when it can be concluded in 12-14 episodes. Why can't it end already and give a way to When You Were Sleeping drama to air? I might just watch the last episode just to know the ending. So, the only weekdays dramas that I'm still enjoying is The King Loves. But after watching this week's episodes, I'm not sure if I can enjoy it as much as I enjoyed watching this drama before. My RinSan ship is kinda sinking, but I'm still clinging on hope. I don't care if San ends up with Won, but I need proper reasons and explanation on how and why San chooses Won, not just "because that's how it is, they're the leads."
Nevertheless, my weekend dramas haven't failed me yet. I enjoy Age of Youth 2, Strongest Deliveryman, Rescue Me and Live Up to Your Name. Thank you short-weekend dramas for bringing me joy!

Completely agree with you on The King Loves! I am still enjoying it, but the whole thing is going to spoiled if she jumps ship to Won for no real reason (especially after she still seemed interested in Rin even after their cave talk about threads - the nighttime eye flirting). I think she feels obligated to Won since he keeps declaring her as his, and would feel guilty just running off with Rin without talking to him. At least, that's the hope I'm clinging to :)

Haha that's my hope as well. I still believe that she's just worried about Won as a friend and she's still in love with Rin. Now, I just hope that Rin will not be turning to evil character which I think he'll not be. I don't see him siding Song In yet like how WonSan shippers see it. The King is still King and Rin is still a loyal subject to the King. How can he defy the King's request just because he's supposedly to be loyal to Won? Ugh, Rin is in a tight spot now.

Yes I think he's trying to help the king as well (and Won too). The king is clearly being drugged, and he knows it. I do wish he would have an honest conversation with Won though! He can tell Won to stop being stupid with the generals and they can make a plan. Poor Rin!

Yes, the camera did focus on Rin's horror as he looks at the incense burning. So he certainly made a note of it.
Won thinks that Rin doesn't strategize or scheme like he does. And in a way, Rin does take the straight path out -- like running away with San. This would keep all three of them safe and they wouldn't be pitted against each other. But Won seems to forget that when he was initially accused of trying to kill the king during the hunt, it was Rin who made that very strategic move to fire an arrow at Won's horse (at the risk of looking like traitor himself).
So I have a feeling that everything Rin is doing from here on out, his appearance of hatred or switching sides, its all his plan.
I think (or at least hope) the writer is taking us the Hwarang route where we all think that the hero is going to betray the king, but he's just working for him.

Why would any actor stay away from movies? I think it's more likely that there were no decent offers.
I realize that Korean movie actors are quite separate from drama actors. Even popular drama actors aren't guaranteed entry into Chungmuro. Song Joong Ki is one of the exception but he already was quite successful in his earlier movie Werewolf Boy. Lee Jun Ki had King and The Clown but that was in 2005.
My impression is also that Korean movies tend to use the same actors over and over again like Song Kang Ho, Lee Jung Jae, Ha Jung Woo, Hwang Jung Min. The younger drama actors have a better chance because they can get supporting roles like Ryu Jun Yeol in Taxi. Or be like Yoo Ah In who manages to do both dramas and movies.

Make yourself a deal (as I do every day). Study uninterrupted for 50 minutes (research suggests that this is how much time you can do something and be the least distracted and learn the most) then 10 minutes of something fun (stalking dramabeans). Do this for however long you want, 4-5 hours. Then at the end of your 4-5 hours if you've been good, reward yourself with 3-4 hours of dramas! That's 8-9 hours a day that you've done work AND you've fed your drama addiction. Good luck!

Still getting ready for uni. Last few days now before it begins. A bit scared but also excited really. I think I have hit a drama slump. I have not bothered to watch Reunited Worlds for ages and I have not bothered to watch School 2017 since episode 13. I am unmotivated to watch them really, I have only been watching Age of Youth 2 and Hyori's homestay and Dear My Friends and rewatching the teasers for Temperature of love and While you were sleeping. And looking at dramas I have never watched-I want to watch the sound of your heart, watched a bit of it and it was hilarious. I am hoping that I will be out of the slump when I watch Temperature of love and While you were sleeping which I hope will be good. With WYWS, I am watching because of the writer and the plot really and with TOL because of the actors and the plot. I currently writing about bullying in kdramas and comparing it to reality while trying to pack and get things ready.

Yeah I'm really behind on Reunited Worlds. I'd have to get the bigger subscription from Viki but I'm not dying to do that right now. I wish it was shorter and better written. There were so really moving parts in between some really inane parts.
Hyori's homestay looks good. I always see screen caps on the beanie wall but I haven't made the time yet to watch it but it is on my radar.
Bullying in kdramas eh? That's a great topic. I always find bullying in dramas so layered. First of all they depict bullying in all situations school, family, friends, work, etc and they all depict it with all ages. The reasons vary greatly too. For instance, you are poorer than me, you aren't pretty, you're father was a murderer, I'm invisible so I'm going to hurt you, my crush likes you, the boss likes you and for no apparent reason what so ever. The ways are interesting too. Sometimes it's those back handed compliments, physical fighting, small gestures, being left out of group texts, not being invited out with the group, insults, and threats. I'm not sure why but it's really jarring for me to see bullying in kdramas. I mean it's important to the drama and to reality but it's just a different cultural way to bully and it tossing me sideways.

I am planning to focus on bullying in schools, mostly because I got the inspiration for this article from a major bullying incident in Korea (http://www.koreaboo.com/news/korean-student-girl-attacked-five-middleschool-busan/ - graphic photos in the article), and look at how realistic kdramas are in school bullying.
