2015 Beanie Awards: Vote for your favorite dramas of the year

Can you believe it’s December?! Where did my year gooooooo. On the upside, that means the 2015 Beanie Awards are here, and it’s your chance to weigh in on all your favorites (and less-than-favorites) of the year. We’ll also be kicking off our annual Year-End Review Extravaganza, which will be a little different this year with a slightly altered format—keep an eye out as we post the reviews in the coming days and weeks!

You can browse the reviews of previous years using this handy Year In Review tag, and check out past polls. Due to the death of Twiigs, the polling service we used in past years, we had lost all the poll information from past years, but were able to retrieve the majority thanks to reader tips about the Wayback Machine. (Thanks again! We owe you!) Sadly we may never again see what brilliant entries and responses we had in 2011 or 2014, which I’m sure were stunning and irreplaceable and probably our best work, since there’s no way to confirm that it wasn’t. Just trust us on that one!

Courtesy of the Wayback Machine and +PrtScn:

Oh, due to popular request, we opened up some of the larger categories to multiple choice voting, although most of the polls are still one-choice-only. (If the indecision brings you pain, it just proves you care!) Let the angsting commence! (The polls will be open until the end of the year, so you can come back on January 1 to see the final results. And psssst… you can vote once a day!)

My most hated villain was Baro's dad in Angry Mom, I hated him more than the murderer teacher, I guess because I was under the impression for seveal episodes that the teacher could be redeemed when I didn't know he got a high school girl pregnant and then killed her...scariest high school ever!

I'm glad Oh My Ghostess is getting so much love, it's one of those rare dramas that was consistently good from start to finish, I would recommend it even to non k-drama fans.

If based on me, I will divide Best Drama to two ; acting and plot. Kill Me Heal Me, Yong Pal, Scholars Who Walks the Night, My Beloved Eun Dong, Punch and I Have A Lover will surely be the best drama of the year in term of acting.

As for the best drama in term of plot, I will choose Oh My Ghostess, Punch and Kill Me Heal Me.

I was quite surprised to see Healer, but yeah this drama finished on early this year.

Anyway TQ DB for making one poll specifically for Ji Sung! I want to vote for all, even my fav will always be Yo Na and Shin Se Gi. Lol

I love the poll and your hilarious descriptions, but I have to say I'm a little disappointed that "The Lover" wasn't included in any of the categories save for the first one. I would definitely have voted it into the Best Bromance category!

You have your opinion, but... we don't even know what's going to happen in the 31 episodes to come? All I'm saying is I'd rather wait until a drama has aired enough(it doesn't necessarily have to be finished...) before making hasty conclusions.

There are too many characters in this drama including 3 fictional characters. Jeong Do Jeon's vision of a new country is being shared with 5 other characters. They are not all going to be killed off anytime soon. Three of them will actually live till the end and Jeong Do Jeon is not one of them.
If you haven't noticed , there are more characters yet to be introduced on top of that.

The show is basically following historical events but the actual is being twisted and changed to include the fictional characters and connect this story to Tree With Deep Root.

Currently Goryeo is about to be overthrown and he might get a little more screen time in an eps or two as the prime minister but then it'll focus on Bang-won and his dysfunctional family and his blood path to the throne.

I think we have enough knowledge of the history and familiar enough with these writers to figure out what's coming.

0

I haven't been regular on SFD but I hoped it was just the case that they'd give him more to do later in the 50 eps.

The whole cast of Scholar Who Walks the Night should have been included in the Waste of Talent category, not just oppa. They were way too good for such messy writing, even when they did manage to break past it and perform.

Too bad the rating isn't that good but so agree with you, it's thought-provoking and heart-warming at the same time.

I hope I'm wrong but when you have a show with these many important historical figures plus important fictional characters related to TWDR then some will be wasted.

Just my little opinion, since I am not even starting this drama yet.

I got your frustration, because I always feel it especially when my favourite actors have been underused in any drama. Maybe because this drama is not only focus on one character, but there are 6 main characters to be developed, so it feels that he is kinda wasted here. But there are many episodes to go, maybe KMM will has more screen time later.

It's more story wise to be honest and it would've been great to see it from his point of view because he started this whole revolution.

yes, for those who saw KMM'S "Beethoven Virus" and "white Tower" will surely agreed that, he is wasted.
or should i say, his character should be given more explosure and depths.
Jeong Do Jeon alone, acted by KMM, should be able to carry a complete drama by himself.
there you goes, added in another 5 dragons. and some romance story lines.
actually in 6FD, i enjoyed the old dragons more, the saddened best fighter too... then the others just so-so.
when story departs from actual history alittle here there, what do you expect?

BIGGEST WASTE OF TALENT GOES TO KIM MYUNG-MIN IN SIX FLYING DRAGONS. YES HE IS DARN TOP-BILLED ON POSTERS. BUT WHERE ARE HIS FREAKIN' SCENES. I AM SO APPALLED. MAN DESERVES ROLES LIKE BEETHOVEN VIRUS, WHITE TOWER, YI SOON-SHIN AND KING OF DRAMAS. BIG, FOREFRONT, MAIN, CENTRAL FIGURE.

Thanks DB,..
I really love this year,..
so many uninteresting drama this year,
but at least there are some gems i watched,

1. The most passionate kiss, believe me or not "Heart to Heart" ep 4 is killing me,.. the way they kiss after the patient take a bath (wooot) is crazy, and what they did on bed is pretty,..

2. Most Fav Thriller, there are some dramas i watched, hidden identity, my beautiful bride, last, and missing noir M, but MISSING NOIR M is really unforgetfull, the multilayered case is great and the hero villain act inside a detective is very surprising. I'm so sad that Missing Noir is the most underrated thriller drama.

3. Most favorite (future) husband, okay, though DB didn't make it, i want to say, LEE SANG YOON is my all the time fav husband,.. where i can find such a kind, handsome, smart, sporty and religious husband,..
Ha No Ra in Twenty Again is very lucky!!!! Ha No Ra and Cha Hyun Soek in Twenty Again is my fav couple,
My fav sweet like a child couple.

4. My fav funny dramas are from TVN, Twenty Again and Oh My Ghostess, but somehow i'm only satisfied with twenty again ending.

5. Most inspiring drama, nah, this one is really hard for me to pick, twenty again inspired me for being okay go back to campus no matter how old you are, education is universal and unlimited in age,
Oh My Ghostess inspiring me that introverts can love too, so if you are introvert, and you love someone, just stay beside the one you love, and you'll find the the way to show your love.
Kill Me Heal Me,.. omoooooo, i really love ahn yoo na and shin se gi,.. this drama really inspiring me that hurtfull memories can't be erased, but you can learn to forgive who hurts you instead building another personality.. (except if you are rich.. hahha)

Such a hard category this time around. For me, it's Park Bo Gum v. Ji Soo. What a happy thing to have such a good year for new blood.

Also, are you watching AM1988? Given how sinister PBG's character was in IRY, it's really weird to watch him in AM1988. That's why I ended up giving it to him, because as much as I TOTALLY LOVED GO BOK DONG, he was more or less the same character in Sassy Go Go, and PBG showed more range.

It's really a question of which project gets more exposure, I think - post-Sassy, I've seen a couple of Ji-soo's other projects and he was nothing like Bokdongie or Ha-joon in either of them. But they were small indie/cross-collaboration films, so I don't think either the domestic or international audience got a good look at them.

I LUFF YOU GUYS FOREVER for adding the multiple choice options, thank you so much! Though some were still a hard pick (seriously, just ONE Ji-sung?!! *sob*)

I really do wish Cindy had been the one repping for The Producers in the Best Character lineup though. I think by the end, people were far more emotionally invested in her character than in anyone else in the drama, looking at the recap comments for it. And IU put in a stellar performance, she should get more love! And more roles!

Most Underrated of the year - I had a hard time choosing between Heard It Through the Grapevine and Sassy Go Go. They are both rare birds in the kdrama world - dramas that refused to be slaves to cliche by conforming to tropes, even if they could not have been more different in subject and tone (seriously, the contrast is INSANE).

But what makes them both the best dramas of the year for me is that they both took a fresh approach to stories that have been told a million times before in kdramas - being in/dealing with high school (Sassy Go Go) and poor-girl-marrying-rich, which could easily be in any weekend family drama of the last ten years (Grapevine). Grapevine is actually the black-comedy take on any of the poor-marrying-rich stories, but done like a modern sageuk, complete with autocratic patriarch and a house that is an actual shell of a new house, plopped over the interior of an old one!

Both also had heroines who could have easily fallen into the Candy/underdog cliche trap, but the respective dramas avoided turning them into the cliche, and gave them actual nuance (also, Go Ah-sung and Jung Eun-ji were beyond fantastic in their roles, considering one was pulling off the high-wire act of playing a heroine who wasn't the traditional clueless, likeable Candy and the other had to make her character way more than Geum Jan-di with pompoms). And I also have to note, both had an insane level of detail going on in the way they were set up and shot, whether it was Grapevine's set design or Sassy's slogan tshirts ('STUCK ON U', anyone?).

So yeah, Grapevine on an intellectual level is hands down the best drama of 2015 for me (and it also made the rather unusual decision to place In-sang's snooty parents at the centre of the story, which paid off in spades because Yoo Joon-sang and Yoo Ho-jung are fantastic actors and their characters were terrible but fascinating as leads. Answer Me 1988 is doing something similar in terms of parents being central to the story, and just as with Grapevine, it's really paying off). It avoided or skewered pretty much every cliche of its genre, and refused to conform to tropes at all (for instance, Bom's goodness doesn't mean she's immune to the lure of power and ambition), and that did one hugely important thing - it removed all predictability from the narrative, even as the characters' actions made sense in terms of who they were/how they thought. It may be nerve-wracking, but it's pretty great to see a kdrama where I genuinely CANNOT TELL whether things are going to take the cynical, this-would-never-work route or the breakaway, happiness-with-caveats route. Like I actually had no idea if Attorney Han was ever going to get any kind of comeuppance, and not knowing is a special part of the viewer experience that we don't often get.

And while Grapevine had my head, Sassy Go Go has my heart. What Grapevine did for family dramas, Sassy did for love triangles and villains. Chae Soo-bin was absolutely spectacular as Soo-ah, whose perfect hair I frequently wanted to rip out at the roots while I was watching her, while also feeling desperately sorry for her. She and Jung Eun-ji are among the very rare examples of female lead/second lead pairs who actually had a beef that had nothing to do with any boys, and who had chemistry with each other that makes their scenes together absolutely pop.

And as for the love triangle, I was so strongly against it and first and convinced that it would never happen, but the story and Ji-soo worked their magic to make it hurt beautifully while not falling into the classic love triangle traps (no noble idiocy from either of the boys to the girls even if Ha-joon engaged in some towards Yeol by not telling him the real reason he was forced out of the cheer team, no forcing their feelings on the object of their affection, no blaming her for any of it).

oh, and Best Bromance had to go to Sassy Go Go. There's no contest on that one. The two necessary ingredients for a great (not good, mind you - GREAT) bromance are

1) Actor chemistry
2) Actors being roughly up to par with each other on the screen presence/acting talent - it's hard to love two people in a bromance equally when one is outclassing the other by miles (sure, they can be cute but then that's a sidekick relationship. not the equality implied in a bromance)

Sassy had both of those in spades, and kudos to Lee Won-geun and Ji-soo for that. And also to the story for handling it so well when they eventually fell for the same girl but being...

0

reply

Required fields are marked *

.......... being romantic rivals still didn't change their feelings for each other or make them at all hostile to each other (tellingly, Yeol only freaks out at Ha-joon when he thinks his friend is pulling away from him because of his feelings for Yeon-doo - he's not mad at Ha-joon for liking her at all). It's really, REALLY rare to get a love triangle that (in the words of commenters on the Sassy recaps) has me wishing I could just clone Yeon-doo, because I can equally love both boys AND the girl they fell for.

and of course, Sassy Go Go also contains my favourite confession scenes of 2015. Both Yeol's adorably direct one which actually involved asking for her answer (a genuine rarity in dramaland) and Ha-joon's red and green gummy bear confession (which left me just a little teary - someone cast Ji-soo and Eunji in a drama as OTP, stat!)

Same! I feel like Cindy should've been included in Best Character and IU in Breakout Performance (it's not as if it was only comprised of actors who'd never acted before, since Hyeri has, Park Bo Gum has as well, etc.) This was definitely IU's breakout role, she deserves way more recognition than she got-- which she did get while the drama was airing but because the drama itself wasn't considered as memorable, she didn't get the level of recognition that Ji Soo got through Angry Mom or Hyeri in Reply 1988 (both excellent dramas), which I believe IU too fully deserves. Cindy was an absolute delight, and so nuanced and beautifully emoted.

IU was included in Breakout Performance two years ago for You're the Best, Lee Soon-shin (her second acting job ever and her first drama as lead - messy drama, but I can't fault her performance) so I guess maybe jb/gf figured that disqualified her this year?

But Cindy remains the most memorable part of Producer for me, though IU herself appears to be the target of a witch hunt now. (the charge of sexualising a five-year-old is flat-out ridiculous, imo - people are doing some serious reaching there). It's a shame because she has real potential as an actress.

Producer is 100% still the best drama of the year for me. Not because it was the best made one, but it definitely made me feel things. Some of my favourite actors (KSH, GHJ) and even more awesome characters (Baek Seung-chan, Office Nazi, KBS staff etc).

Underrated - definitely IRY and Bubblegum. I wish both got more attention and love because they're so awesome and realistic and just extremely well made. Fingers crossed Bubblegum ends as well as it began.

Overrated - As much as I loved Producer, maybe it is slightly overrated. Maybe. Yongpal, KMHM and SWP definitely. Particularly KMHM which I couldn't even get past the 4th episode of. Such a mess of a drama. It wasn't overrated in the ratings department surely (not being able to achieve 12% is... Eh) but the fans make it seem so amazing.

Fav lead couple - Ri-hwan and Haeng-ah <333

Favourite character - Baek. Seung. Chan. Also, both leads in Bubblegum even if they are oddly not nominated.

Bromance - competition doesn't even exist in this section. Yeol and Ha-joon are miles ahead.

KMHM is a weird one - I hear you on the first 4 episodes being really eh, because I nearly dropped the drama myself - picked it back up after skipping episode 5-6, and then it really got going with episodes 7-8. It's definitely a slog in the first couple of weeks (and that's also when Hwang Jung-eum is screechiest. Things improve a lot once she mellows and more of the other personalities emerge)

Producer.....if they'd cut the extreme length by a bit, I'd love it. But I thought it really sparked only when our main 4 characters were interacting. I think its real mistake was to bill itself as a workplace comedy - but as a traditional romcom, it's A+ material. And the best part of it turned out to be IU as Cindy, talk about a dark horse. I wasn't expecting more than cute from her (she can emote but none of her other dramas required much on her part), but Cindy demanded way more and she deserves all the praise for rising to that challenge so beautifully.

Producer is so overrated. Every episode was so boring but I had to sit through them just because of the actors which I really liked. Way too overhyped although many people agreed it was a really bad/boring drama. Liked the characters but none of them stood out that much compared to other dramas. If it wasn't for the actors I would have dropped the whole drama at ep 1.

Omg, thank you for agreeing! IU had an interesting character but too bad she isn't getting as much recognition for her role. Required fields are marked *

Oh, and ratings are not everything. There are so many great dramas that have gotten mediocre ratings but their story and the love fans give them is better than some highly rated dramas. Ratings don't tell whether the dramas are better. I can see Healer, School 2015, Scholar Who Walks the Night having just mediocre ratings yet they have so many supporters. Sometimes having popular and young idol actors can pull ratings up you know. ;P

0

Required fields are marked *

nope, if anything idol-actors tend to be a ratings liability - most dramas which have idols with rather questionable skills headlining them, tend to bomb hard. (look at Orange Marmalade. Or To The Beautiful You).

Producer got the buzz it did thanks to its senior cast and Kim Soo-hyun, if anything IU was considered the one unworthy to act alongside them. Of course, people started singing a very different tune just two weeks in, when she was knocking it out of the park and making everyone feel for Cindy, whether they liked IU herself or not.

reply

Required fields are marked *

That's why I said sometimes and not always. They tend to help ratings or lure more fans to watch but of course in the end it's about the storyline itself whether it attracts many fans or not. Indeed, Producer got the buzz mostly thanks to Kim Soo Hyun. But feeling bad for Cha Tae Hyun and Gong Hyo Jin though since it feels most attention was given to Kim Soo Hyun.

0

I agree, Producer would not have worked without Cha Tae-hyun and Gong Hyo-jin giving it its backbone (while IU was its heart). They grounded the show so well that the younger leads could basically get on with being cute and winning - and in IU's case, a total surprise.

Dramabeans' descriptions are as great as ever. I had a great time busting my gut at these clever descriptions that are at once spot-on (totally meta for the dramas they describe) and funny! Thanks for putting up this great poll!

Just a bit sad that the polls are dominated by Healer watchers since I think there's a selection bias going on - Healer for whatever reason was really popular here (but not as much in other forums/blogs) so naturally the polls represent not just the regular kdrama watcher picks (which is fair since it's a poll on dramabeans after all; I just thought in previous years there was no drama that was heavily favored here compared to other communities, so the polls were a bit more reflective of a typical drama watcher's opinion).

I like the other kiss in Healer more than the rooftop one. The one where she goes looking for him.

Lol looks like the beanies really had their time with healer.

From my side I watched I Remember You and Yongpal and read the recaps for Angry Mom and Village. Im not a big romcom fan as you can see XD

IRY- Wow, my fav Seo In Guk in such a good drama that I will relish! Loved Jang Nara's female cop, she was really refreshingly written. And Min bcoz of whom I finally decided to dip into the answer me series (bo gummie <3) I think the low ratings def helped to cement its close to the heart underdog status and its faults forgiven..which brings me to...

Yongpal- Man talk about a drama crushed bcoz of its ratings. I just let the drama unfold acc to the writers way rather than have any preset expectations. Though it did turn makjangy towards the end I will never deny that I loved Dr Kim Tae hyun and Yeo Jin (& they had way better kisses than the church one in the above vote!) It was my first time watching Joo Won and Kim Tae hee and I walked away a fan. :)

Angry Mom- JISOOOOOO! that is all.

Village- I like it when kdrama try diff genres and the writer def knew how to tell her story!

At least fans of each drama gets to vote for their favorites. No politics, no sponsor and all that kind of crap. It's all fun.

Thanks dramabeans for the recaps and polls.

I just discovered your site a couple of months ago and am enjoying the recaps.

Favourite Drama: Healer, Oh My Ghostess, Twenty Again, Last, Six Flying Dragons, Answer Me 1988, Ex-girlfriend's Club (I know more than 5, too many good dramas this year).

Favourite Characters:
Healer as the first option creates a bias...lol (well deserved bias), byun yo han dragon warrior- I am seriously fangirling over his character in SFD (Gil Tae Mi should also be on this list, his character was too fun for a villian), Twenty Again - Prof Dimples, need I say more?, Kill Me Heal Me - I laughed so hard at Yoo Na's scenes.

Most Disappointing Drama - The Time We loved - I kept hoping it would get better but it didn't (Lame reason for not dating imo). The same is happening with Oh My Venus - as much as I love So Ji Sub, sadly I have dropped this drama. HJW & SJS, let's pick better projects in 2016.

Underrated Dramas:
Last - good action, scheming, fighting.
The Village - good plot and different from usually dramas so I enjoyed it.

Currently Watching:
Six Flying Dragons - Currently on ep 18 and not one boring moment yet. Did not think I would enjoy it but this is turning out be a special treat even if it is not historically accurate. Love all the dragons and the strong female characters.

Answer Me 1988 - This is turning out just as great as 1994 and 1997. 1994 is the funniest for me of all the Answer Me series but I love all the characters in 1988 esp the relationships with the parents (tear jerking moments).

Good year in K-dramas.

The polls make me realize dramas this year are more interesting. It's hard to pick the best of the best and the worst of the worst. xD

I haven't really watched anything this year I just kind of skimmed LOL. I know, blasphemy! But thats that. Of those I watched nothing stuck. Nothing seemed to grip me. Maybe I'm just waiting for something. Anyways Happy Holidays and New Years. LET THE BEST SHOW(S) WIN.

Pinocchio was included in the Year-end reviews last year. Unfortunately, you can't see the polls for 2014 though because of technical issues. Healer actually started airing exactly a year ago so I think it had only aired an episode or so by the time they did the polls.

Pinocchio was included last year, while Healer was not. Unfortunately, the 2014 Polls are lost, but I remember Pinocchio did really well. The bread kiss may have even won.

Healer is kicking ass and taking names, and I'm thankful I get to vote for Reply 1988 while inserting whom I want to be the husband (Deok-sun and her husband. You know, that guy), as well as hedging my bets by voting for both Taek and Jung Hwan (If only Taek knew romance like he knows baduk; If only Jung-hwan didn't always put his foot in his mouth). It is a crime I Remember You is losing Favorite Bromance, and my Favorite Character David Lee Hyun was not nominated.

Where is Lee Soo Kyung in Ho-gu's Love for Breakout Performance? She is such a natural. She and Ji Soo were the standout rookies of 2015. But seriously, this year belonged to Ji Soo and Park Bo Gum. 93 Line actors (with forever Nation's Little Brother Yoo Seung Ho and Lee Hyun Woo) are going to rule the world. Then Ryu Joon Yeol as Korea's new love and Yook Sung Jae round out the top four. I love how Ji Sung got his own category. Yo Na deserves to win.

'93-line actors really killed it this year.

Ji-soo, Park Bo-geum, IU, Yoo Seung-ho, Jung Eunji, D.O., Gong Seung-yeon, even Lee Hyun-woo in his cameo in Scholar Who Walks the Night.....was there something in the water that year? (and Shin Jae-ha is another one - only minor roles so far, but he has serious potential)

Underrated drama category was hard for me.

While Grapevine and Punch did well domestically, it didn't get enough love internationally imo. But I didn't choose those because I was sated by that recognition and those of like-minded commenters.

Missing Noir M was stylish af, but w/ that ending I'm gunshy from VP 2. If you leave it there show, we will have words.

I gave my vote to My Beautiful Bride, because while it wasn't perfect, it had a great mix of atmosphere and memorable characters. Plus its plot falls didn't aggravate me as much as some others from this yr. Most importantly it gave me Kim Moo Yeol.

For romances, Heart to Heart (despite being dysfunctional on paper) is pretty underrated. It gave one of the best pairings imo, because it delivered where most rom-com/rom-melos lack: genuine heat and synergy. It didn't do the cheap trick of starving you by delaying the skinship to make the love supposedly weightier either. But the last 4 eps were a dive.

Village might've been underrated, yet while it was interesting in what it wanted to do, I keep bemoaning what could've been.

Special mention goes to Awl because I feel like if I'd finished already, I would've def voted for that.

TL;DR I chose My Beautiful Bride for quality+feels+ need for larger recognition) but only by a hair.

I Remember You is totally an underrated drama of the year!! And I am so glad that it has the most votes for "Most Underrated Drama". :D

I don't get why Healer is also an underrated drama. I mean, I thought Healer had good viewership ratings and such?

Oooh this site that I thought I couldn't love more but then you guys decided to add that special award for Ji-sung and friends ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (although I did ask my friend to make sure she voted for Shin Se-gi so I could cast my vote for Yo-na ㅋㅋ)

My top 5 fav dramas this year are Healer, I Remember You, Kill Me Heal Me, Oh My Ghostess, Reply 1988, Sassy Go Go, and Twenty Again, ha!

If only I could pick 3 for fav bromance, I'd have picked YeolJoon (Sassy Go Go!), the guys from Ssangmundong (Reply 1988), and HyunMin (I Remember You) ㅠ.ㅠ

The breakout performance though, who am I supposed choose when Ji-soo, Lee Won-geun, Park Bo-gum Ryu Joon-yeol are put together there? Not to mention Jo Soo-hyang and Chae Soo-bin who were so awesome too. Ahh I guess I just have to vote for the other nominees tomorrow.

Oh and for the most glorious mane of glory, I voted for Byun Yo-han even though I don't watch Six Flying Dragons hehe~ ♥

Of the K-dramas watched, only 3 had that rare combination of good script/dialogue and acting.

Answer Me 1988

Oh My Ghostess

The Producers

AM 1988 looks to be not only the best in the AM series, but could very well end up on top of my list for best K-drama of all-time (topping "Joseon X-Files" and "Coffee Prince.").

The other 2 are in my top 10-15.

yes, ahjumma, by Kim Mi Kyung is an excellent choice, i can think of no other in KDland.
what i loved about Healer is, the Writer spared not in developing the supporting roles, the dad, the ajushhi, her best creation here, should be ajummah.

Kim Mi Kyung should have her own cat, of choose what fav roles she acting in, just like the Jisung one.

Drama most underrrated : I Remember You

To conclude, my heart is still broken by the brothers T_T

I love how music brings back such great memories of the dramas. “Eternal Love” from “Healer” is one of my new faves and I totally appreciate your using the lyrics for the descriptions. The song always brings a smile to my face and I totally rock to it. It joins some older ones on my Favorites playlist: “It has to be you” (Cinderella’s Sister), “Losing my Mind” (My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho), the songs from Dream High, “Still as Ever” and “Promise” (You’re Beautiful); “Nonsense” (Personal Taste), “Suddenly” (City Hunter), “Found You” (Sungkyunkwan Scandal), Polly (Coffee Prince), and Be My Love (My Name Is Kim Samsoon), to name a few. This list totally dates me, right? :)

Lee Bang Won has like shampoo commercial level hair! How can it be so pretty?!
HOW TO CHOOSE AMONG ALL THAT JISUNGS!

Anyway, seriously Dramabeans!!!! How can you be so cruel? How can you expect us to choose the breakout performance where the nominees are all good T____T
I voted Ji Soo but my heart pains for Lee Won Geun, Park Bo Gum, Chae Soo Bin, Park So Dam (although in The Silenced) and even Hyeri. Can't they all get the award?

Guess this means i need to start watching KMHM and Punch haha looking forward for the final result!

A lot of good stuff this year. Deciding favorite dramas and characters is a little difficult because there was so much to love, but I have to say, Punch was a real standout for me this year.

Thanks again everyone for making Dramabeans so fantastic!

Punch was awesome on so many levels, never a dull moment. An amazing and intense 19 hours of character study and TV. It really stands out among all the other 2015 kdramas. Punch had one of the best finale episodes to date - simply fantastic. I highly recommend it!

I was searching for AJJHUMMA of Healer in the best character category!

I have enjoyed Healer, Oh My Ghostess, I Remember You, Sassy Go Go, Falling for Innocence, She Was Pretty, The Producers, Twenty Again. However, Healer is still my favourite. After Healer was completed in Feb, I couldn't watch other dramas for a good six months, that's how bad the withdrawal symptom was....!
