Yoo Seung-ho gets friendly with his Imaginary Cat

Augh, this drama is going to be so cute. Yoo Seung-ho + cat = happiness. That’s just fact. There are a few more stills out for the new short cable drama Imaginary Cat that’s getting ready to air on MBC Every1 later this month, about a grumpy young man and his grumpy cat healing each other. It’s just a few more shots of real-life cat-lover Yoo Seung-ho playing with his drama cat Bok-gil, the orange Garfield-looking cat we caught a glimpse of in the first teaser.
The 8-episode drama is based on a webtoon about the daily life of a webtoon artist and his cat, giving voice to both sides of the human-cat relationship (film actress Han Ye-ri of Sea Fog has been cast to voice the cat). Yoo Seung-ho plays the webtoon artist who also works part-time at a bookstore, a young man with lots of dreams who is stymied by his own stubbornness and selfishness. He dislikes people, and the cat is the only one he’ll open up his heart to.
He and his cat Bok-gil each have their own scars, and the drama is about how they come to heal each other. Yoo Seung-ho’s still below is captioned with the quote: “I don’t need people! I only need you, Bok-gil!” Aww. And Bok-gil’s line is: “Don’t misunderstand. I’m not the Bok-gil from [TV drama] Country Diaries. Despite appearances, I’m a thoughtful cat~”
I think this is one case where I don’t even need a plot of any kind — I’d easily fritter away eight hours watching Yoo Seung-ho play with a cat, and I wouldn’t even need any dialogue. I mean, isn’t that what the internet was invented for?
Imaginary Cat airs on Tuesdays beginning November 24.

aww this looks so cute. I kind of wish it was a black cat (if black cats are suspicious and disliked in Korea too?) but still, that cat is so cute (and tolerant. my cat would never be handled like that) I wonder if they'll find a way to shove chaebols and corruption scandals in this too...xd I really hope its as fluffy and easy to watch as it seems

Last time I watched a webdrama, the episodes were a little over 14 minutes each. Way too short.

Is there any chance for this to be English subbed by dramafever or any other Kdrama website? I am looking forward to seeing my baby boy again.
I have learnt that his female lead, Jo Hye Jung, who is supposed to get the role by her farther's reputation, is facing controversy right now. I hope this is not going to ruin his drama comeback.
And drama god, don't let it be a trainwreck like Missing You. I still have a headache over it aggrr.

I think I may have beaten you in the crazy cat lady department. I have 18! (I know, I know... But you get used to it, I swear!) Not that being a crazy cat lady was ever a competition... xD
On an entirely related side note, I once watched a video of an idol playing with their cat on repeat for almost an hour. So, yes, count me in! Does anyone know if we can read the webtoon this is based on? (Preferably in English.)

This is my MUST watch drama on TOP priority list now!!!
2 feral tom cats has made my house their own... There is a 3rd Tom cat, who is the friend of the first tom cat that came to my house and brought the 2nd one few days later after he arrived but the 3rd one is just too shy and runs away whenever I approach. I guess he will eventually come around like the 2nd one too...
I love cats, dogs, birds, other animals and love any films on such. On top of it all, Yoo Seung Ho is my favourite actor! Cream on cake!

This looks exactly like my cat. Her ears got damaged so they're crimped down a little, and she seriously need to go on a diet. I It's a relief to learn she could still have a career on Korean TV.

We just had to put down our cat... We've had her for 15 years, ever since I was in preschool. So although I'm excited for this, it might be a bit hard to watch now... :( I'll be thinking of my own cat.
