High Society starts with a kiss

…Or three, but who’s counting? SBS’s new Monday-Tuesday melodrama High Society has followed up its first set of kissyface stills with a teaser that delivers on that promise and then some. Leads Sung Joon (Hyde, Jekyll, Me) and UEE (Ho-gu’s Love) hit the ground running with a teaser that shows off some sizzling chemistry, not that we were worried. On the downside, it makes me forget what the drama is even about. Upside, sizzling chemistry.
A quick refresher: The new drama from the creative team behind A Warm Word stars UEE as a chaebol heiress who keeps her identity hidden so that she can blend in and hold part-time jobs like the little people do. She does this all because she’s determined to find true love in someone who loves her for herself and not her money.
Sung Joon is an ambitious social climber who comes from a dirt-poor family and only cares about relationships that help him get ahead. Naturally this leads to the age-old dramaland question: love or money?
It’s pretty funny how rare a kiss is in a drama teaser, given how much of dramaland’s real estate is taken up by romance. But when you’re regularly waiting weeks before your leads ever lock lips, it’s a novel thing to see kisses before a show even premieres. As far as a marketing strategy goes, it’s damn effective, since I now want to check out a drama that otherwise sounded too melo for me.
Well, I’m off to watch the teaser again, partly for the kisses, and mostly because Sung Joon in a plain white tee just does things to me.
High Society premieres June 8 on SBS.

Sung Joon is stupid hot and always has been and i am just liike WHY. lol anyway, love the chemistry. the kisses happening in teasers is a good thing but i hope the in show ones will be less chaste. i want kisses like the one in INR3. his kiss game was A++ in that one haha. but that was cable so. im not holding my breathe tbh :(
the fact that this is a mellow still makes me roll my yes, but im still holding out a hope for this to not be total trash. esp with two hot charismatic actors at the fore. well ok SJ is but UEE rly moved me in Hogoo's Love so, i have faith in her. and she's always been a total fox regardless. Here 4 It

Discovery of romance (Sung Joon being one of the 3 leads) was on KBS2 and the kisses were hot too :p coz it's Sung Joon ^^
I really like their expression in the cafe scene before the kiss and of course SJ in white Tshirt <3

Yeah, I'm in. Fingers crossed that this will be good. I want a good storyline with emotional complexity and fully drawn characters, not a makjangpalooza full of eye-roll worthy tropes. But let's face it, the premise is about as garden variety as a Kdrama gets, having been done a thousand times. For instance, her parents are likely to move heaven and earth to keep them apart, and noble idiocy will be given it's own canvas chair on set. Uuugh, I so hope I'm wrong about this! I'll definitely watch the first few episodes, though, because if the trailer isn't fooling us, the chemistry between these two definitely does sizzle. Ppssssssst!

Definitely my favourite kdrama teaser this year. Direct and plenty of kisses mm. Can't wait to see my favorite kdrama boy back on screen every week :D

I wasn't originally planning on watching this since I'm not really interested in the acting of either of the leads based on previous dramas, but... those kisses...
It looks interesting, and the premise is promising, although I don't like too much melo.

My goodness, that teaser was hot! I loved everything about it. The chemistry between the leads is insane!
Sung Joon looks so sexy and handsome with that hairstyle. The last (and only?) time I've seen him act was in Shut Up Flower Boy Band, which I liked for the most part, but I was never attracted to him then.
I wasn't even planning on watching this drama, but dayum, they know how to make things enticing.
