OCN’s crime thriller Reset adds Song Ha-yoon
by javabeans
Another cast member has joined OCN’s crime-melo-noir drama Reset, formerly titled Ten Days Ago and then Crying Game. That’s a lot of changing before the drama’s even begun filming, but I do hope this name sticks.
Song Ha-yoon is the new addition, and she plays a woman who harbors a “sadness and pain that cannot be erased” while also pining after our hero, Chun Jung-myung. He’s a prosecutor determined to track down the criminal who killed his teenage love (played by Kim So-hyun) fifteen years ago, a case that has informed his entire adulthood as he pursued a career working on violent crimes.
I presume that while our hero may be technically available for romance, his emotions are engaged elsewhere, inextricably tied to the girl whose murder is only ten days away from its statute of limitations expiring. This sets us up to spend ten days (via ten episodes) in a race against time in this “breathless confrontation between the dogged prosecutor and the unidentified X.”
If you think Song Ha-yoon looks familiar but can’t place the name, you may recognize her former name, Kim Byul. I’ve always wondered why she never broke out to the next level—she’s been charming and engaging in most of the things I’ve seen her in, such as Taereung National Village, Strongest Chil-woo, and Dasepo Naughty Girls—but perhaps it was bad timing. Or she was better than the projects she chose. Or that stardom isn’t a given for anyone. (Additional credits: Baby and Me with Jang Geun-seok, Fly Up with Kim Bum, and the drama Ghost.)
Reset will air once a week on Sunday nights on OCN, with its premiere episode slated for August 10.

Ooooh Baby and Me! That's probably where I saw her! I watched that in my You're Beautiful-induced Jang Geun Seok era. :D
I hope this show is really ten days span, and not "10 story arcs, occurring in 10 days each". *stares beadily at Three Days*

I recognized her face but was helpless about her new name. She was adorable with Mad Cow detective in Ghost.
Is it only me or she really resembles Im Soo Jung now?
