Why Mi-rae's Choice is not listed in the most disappointing drama??? It is the most disappointing drama as even the ending is confusing! The story flow is absolutely random! The drama is really disappointing with high expectation of such an interesting plot.
I personally like Alice in Cheongdamdong drama. The leads are funny! The story is very good! You never study overseas, your taste won't be good.
Other dramas I like are Cyrano dating agency as feel some of the stories, people can learnt from them. Sooyoung's acting is awesome!
Heirs story is good as it talks about the troubles of the rich and their responsibilities. But some characters are indeed very annoying like the Chairman aka Tan's father. Innocent 18year-old Young-do that only knows how to bully the girl he likes to get her attention LOL. The awkward kiss scene of Eun Sang and Kim Tan. But their chemistry is good.

I think the reason why it wasn't listed for that category is that I don't think many people had very high expectations for it in the first place. It wasn't promoted as heavily as some other shows like Heirs. I personally never saw/heard any one spazzing out waiting for Mi Rae's Choice, but saw/heard tons of people doing that for Heirs.
I agree with you that it did have an interesting plot, and that did get wasted in the end--but the key is that I think a lot of people were expecting the story to be a let-down eventually. So ultimately it wasn't that big of a disappointment in the first place since expectations weren't too high. The drama sort of reminded me of Big. I was entertained by the story and watched it anyway even though I knew the end was going to be cruddy. lol.

I meant the Alice in Cheongdamdong story teaches how judgmental the society is. How it is difficult for people from a poor background, regardless of good grades, to get into the society of the rich.

i thought Alice was actually pretty well done and severely underrated. It had an intelligent story about how the main character was not the Candy girl the guy thought she was and that she had her own thoughts-like when she admits she tried on the expensive jewelry just to see what it felt like. I think MGY just doesn't have as many fans.
Surprisingly, on Koreandrama.org, it;s the #2 most popular drama according tho their fan voting for this year. Behind the Heirs(of course).

I think Cheongdamdong Alice deserves to be amongst the list of favourite dramas of 2013.
The problem here is that the list is already pre-selected / or judged already to be amongst best.... i wonder on what or whose grounds? popularity? Or is this voting a gauge of who and who will be winning the year end awards at the various TV stations in Korea?
Hence, the list is predetermined based on the probability of these being the award winners...
As we know, the stations themselves have an agenda when it comes to awarding their 'best' actors and actresses...and not necessary, the best performer gets the award. History has proven so...and the power of the 'big boys' is most clearly illustrated in SK's entertainment industry, and well depicted in many of these dramas we watched in 2013.
So, what's the agenda in the preselected list?

i wish i could vote 3 more times for Master's Sun for most overrated drama
at least with Heirs everyone acknowledges that it sucks but everyone acts like Master's Sun is the best romcom to ever exist....which it definitely is not. I didn't see the appeal of the main couple and found the story silly and bland....maybe i'm just not a Hong Sister's fan
and maybe I'm bitter that it's winning over IHYV for best drama

ok now i am in 7th episode of masters sun. Nothing happened. No romance...no nothing. Bits and pieces of normal episode centric TV show u see. Its really bad drama and now i wonder why all the visitors comes here to vote for this crap drama.
For me there is nothing in this drama until 7th episode. What the hell going on why people voted for this crap?.
Does people have low expectation? No comedy no romance...new ghost show up in every episode.... Damn people why did you vote this best drama?. I do not understand at all.
Its not worst drama but this should not get top ranked drama ...it can be 5th best drama at best .
Anyway my ranting is done... I think i can't go by people vote in this site. May be vote is manipulated because author like this drama?
Anyways... i am looking for drama that is something special and masters sun is not special in romance , comedy or anything for the matter.

I guess you're opinion is in the minority. I don't think this poll is "manipulated." Most people genuinely enjoyed the drama. I personally found it very entertaining and was hooked on it. Fun dialogue, great acting, amazing chemistry between the leads. I loved it. I don't exactly remember what happened in the 7th episode, but maybe you would get hooked onto it in a further episode? If not, oh well. Everyone has different opinions. :)

I agree the voting is manipulated if the list is drawn from the author's liking. He/She does not represent the broad based audience, and has her own prejudices on her likings. That's why jury is a composite of people and not just based on 1 person's judgement.

it is ironic how Heirs got most vote for different polls yet received the most votes for the Most disappointing drama?

Mmm not really. Not to me, anyways. There were some things that I liked about the drama (not much, mind you), and I can see why Heir's would be voted for in those other categories that you are referring to.
However, that doesn't mean the drama overall was great. Most people had high expectations for the drama, especially considering the cast. So, in comparison to those high expectations, it was definitely a big disappointment for many.
For example, a film overall may not be great, but you may keep watching it anyway because the actor is doing a fantastic job.
Anyhow, I don't really think it's ironic. :)

Heirs - high expectation
Masters sun - low expectation.
I think both are same level. Neither good or bad.
One thing sure i finished heirs , never gona finish Masters sun. It has nothing except new ghost every episode. Bad story period.
I got tricked by votes in this site. I wonder author manipulating the votes to his favorite drama.
jk. who knows :)

No alex, most of DB's readers and fans of casts have high expectation of MS too before it aired.
first because the writers are one of most successful kdrama writer, second because of SJS, one of top A-LIst korean actor, third because of GHJ she is called queen of rom-com by korean media and all of her dramas since 2007 always gor rank 1st of rating, and fourth the PD/director is one of good too. So compare to heirs, MS even have higher expectation of quality while heirs get higher exectation for popularity.
I want to just ignore you actually but I cant but want to reply you too sometime because you are seem misunderstand in many times then make wrong conclusion by your self. you'll be burlesque for the others :(
Alex, can you write comment a little intellectually? a little intelligently? you are seem critical and want to look like give comment objectively but your comments are not show it at all...

I skip watched and finished I hear your voice. Oska (secret garden) guy is poor lead. He is great in comedy but as a lead he really struggle because he can not express romance part of it. its not his cup of tea.
I skipped middle part because i just do not watch oska guy.
I prefer sex scene with noona. Would have been ultimate.

As much as I love some of cast in Heirs (the actors are hot lol. And Woo Bin is blowing me away with his fantastic acting), I am SOOOO glad to see that some people are being unbiased and that Heir's is actually winning in some of the more "negative" categories.
I thought I might be crazy seeing as how much I just can't wait for this drama to end already, so I can move on to bigger and better things lol.
It honestly was a big disappointment. The writing and directing kind of stinks.

Heirs was better than Masters sun marginally. I find both kinda boring. heirs ( school bullying..is repeat plot...)
Masters sun ..ghost every episode killed it. Because you know its the way it gona be whole show.
i found every episode of Masters sun mirror copy of other episode.
Masters sun most over hyped drama in this site.
I hear your voice ...i liked the noona love part..i skipped all court scene..
I really do not like serious drama because korean drama is not good at it when it comes to reality. Mainly because of budget and support actors lack of acting ability. They use same actors in most dramas. So u tend to feel you seeing same drama.
Now i am watching all dram by fast forwarding most as i am not that hooked like i was in the beginning when it was exploration .
Now i only wants to see cute girl crying. Thats about it in korean drama. That is the money shot in Korean drama. If there is no cute girl crying , it won't appeal to foreign audience because rest of drama kinda joke to me because i find korean drama is very good at relationship point of view but awful when they discuss some business domain area.

Rewatched I Hear Your Voice last night, smiled like a fool and cried like a baby all over again... hands down my crack drama of the year, nothing comes close to beating it.
Thank you IHYV for...
the sassiest, coolest kdrama heroine
the most wonderful mother in dramaland
the most atypical 2nd female lead
and most of all... Lee Jung Suk <3

I think Dramabeans forgot that there is also a potential contender in the BEST MANE OF GLORY award....
I strongly nominate JI CHANG WOOK as Prince Ta Hwan in Empress Ki!!! (I can even remember Dramabeans posted about this months ago...)
Just feeling sad that Empress Ki is garnished with high ratings but seem underrated (and even almost nonexistent) here in Dramabeans... Well i just understand since they are not recapping that drama, though....

I came to say how thankful I am for FINALLY voting in a FAIR, REASONABLE poll!! Cause everywhere else all I see is terrible choices winning over the most important categories because of just pretty faces and popularity ¬¬ UGH!!
And the best of all of it.. THE DESCRIPTIONS!! I've been laughing non stop!!! Whoever idea was this, is a genius!! And well, not to be annoying, but HOW COOL IS THAT THE REAL BEST DRAMAS of the year are receiving the love they deserve here, congrats to all of us sensible kdrama addicts here :D

The Heirs was seriously disappointing. not even my love for Kim Woo Bin and Kang Min Hyuk can make me finish watching it. which was a shame since out of all the cast, i find Kim Woo Bin's acting the best. was never a fan of LMH but i at least expected more from PSH. if only i could turn back time...
can i just say that the side comments were my favorite part? thank you for the laughs!
