Hmmmm. OK. I don't watch the show & it's certainly not the one which does the buzz. Could it be that the topic is sensitive? Everything about Korean/Japanese conflicts seems to be considered as a minefield these days (what with the cold diplomatic relations between the 2 countries).

I have to admit, I was anticipating the show and then dropped it because it didn't really have the wow factor (I blame that on the lacking lead romance especially the main girl). I also didn't have the time for it so I can't judge I guess :@

I gave up in the middle of episode three. The story had potential, but I thought the execution was lacking.

Is the actress playing the female lead bad or is it the character herself?

I was expecting it to be a little different, and more like those episodes that just got cut I guess... Maybe I should have had different expectations.

Aw man if gaksital did the same (cutting down to 18 episodes) it would have been so much better, imo.

Aww, what??? I watched the first two episodes when it first premiered and kept meaning to go back to it but I just feel like I'm watching /so much/ these days (never thought this day would come lol). But anyway, I'm sad now because the Olympics was the reason I was intrigued by it to begin with.

do ji han is the best actor..in my opinion..and the girl who plays byeori is really convincible..chi ho is doing pretty well as the "villain" but i'm having problems with lee eliya's character...if shinyoung wasn't so confusing, i think the actress would receive more positive feedback...

i am still watching though. and it's for do ji han..he's doing really well portraying his character and his conflicting emotions..and geez, the mother/son action is adorable.

And it seems like I'm the only one enjoying the drama. I'm no newbie to the historical facts or rules of the game (the basketball, I mean), so I can say I was truly engrossed by our hero's jorney.

I agree about the lack of chemistry and the nonsensical heroine (what's her problem anyway? Acting? Is it the writing? Both?), but at least San and Chi-ho jorneys seems to be something to wait for.

The CGI is rubbish though.

Actually i'm interested with the story n the setting but still have the chance esp after getting addicted with empress ki i couldn't watch other drama, i even delay the drama that i watch before but reading this news make me doubt is it bad???

I think the female lead character is kinda not written with enough depth, its like her existence is juz to romance the guys, other than that she played no part in the development of the story. I think the actress is not that bad but since she is a newbie, maybe she cant express the character well enough if the writer doesn't put some depth to guide her

it's a good drama, eventhough it has not much viewers. please let byeo ri grow up to be an adult woman so she can stay by chi ho's side. at least... it will make me happy despite the cut down.

I'm enjoying the show and my history geek self can't help but feel a bit disappointed because now I won't get to see the after 1945 bits.

What's her face's acting doesn't bother me as much as the beauty mark on her lip does. It's distracting. So thanks to that, I tend to ignore pay less attention to her.

Hello! First time poster here. I'm bummed by this news. I'm really enjoying this drama and all the actors, including the lead actress whom I see as a sheltered and slightly naive young woman who has a willowy, starry-eyed way about her. As my knowledge of Korean basketball (for that matter, basketball in general) and the post WW-II era in Korea is rudimentary, I was looking forward to seeing this story progress to the '48 Olympics.

I would have thought a story about the first, and only, time Korea competed as a unified and independent country would interest the general public, although the generic title didn't help. Here's to a Season 2.
