I cannot believe it's the 11th podcast already. 11 isn't really a special number but I guess since it has two 1's, I remember when the first one came out lol
Looking forward to listening to this one and many more!
Thanks javabeans and girlfriday!! :)

Thank you!!!!!!!!
I really like listening to you... I even recently re-listened the old ones (for the 4th time?)... but perhaps shouldn't do it before sleep, I then get those funny dreams... ^^
Anyway, thanks again! (...off to listening...)

Hi! I also have a playlist of old podcasts which I listen to at night... I don't mean to say the podcasts are boring, because I do enjoy them, but listening to replays help me sleep at night. And you're right--they give me funny dreams, too! :)

Trivia:
Kwak Jung Wook (Maro) is in the same company as L (Hyun-soo), and Jisun (ex-Loveholics, who happen to compose the songs in SU!FBB).
It's like a reunion.

At times like this I curse my inability to watch dramas as they air. I really really really want to listen but don't want to be spoiled. The only thing I am current on is HOTS and it has been excruciating waiting for the next episodes (not to mention subs) to air. Maybe I should really stop feeling the need to marathon all my dramas and succumb to the call of simulcasts.... oteke!

Ooh another podcast, awesome to hear your thoughts again.
I don't recall if you've ever talked about this before, but something fun that you could discuss next time are dramas that you wish had a do-over. Like, the premise was just so amazingly awesome and the potential was there, but the execution was just horribly beyond repair (whether it be because of the acting, directing, music, or any mix of things). I think number 1 for me would be Goong. Other ones that would have been nice would be Boys Over Flowers, Cinderella's Sister, and Moon.
Anyways thanks again, can't wait til the next podcast :)

Love that suggestion about talking about "do-over dramas". Darn, there are so many of those.
I think the problem with Goong though is that the manhwa that it is based on is a mess too. I have never actually watched the drama, because the manhwa put me off! I read a LOT of the manhwa which just goes on and on and gets more annoying and eventually unbearable.... uhhh.

I totally agree about the manhwa too. In an ideal world I'd have a Do-over of both the manhwa AND the drama. I love the basic idea of this story, but both were just so disappointing. I've come up with my own ideas on how I would have handle the drama, but alas I don't think my dreams will come true.

Ah, good idea!
Goong... personally, I'd change: the ending (because seriously, after all that angst and "I don't know how I'll survive without you by my side!", she sees him again and is all, "Oh, hey. What's up?" Argh. I actually assumed that when she was racing home on her bicycle it was because she had a phone date with Shin. But apparently they hadn't been in contact since she'd left? I... don't understand.); Shin's characterisation (he was such a dog-in-the-manger and he clung to Hyo-rin for far too long and treated poor Chae-gyung so badly...).
Yeah, apparently I have issues with this drama. *g*

I'd change everything. Directors, actors, story, music, setting, costumes, the whole shebang. The only thing that it really had going for it was cinematography and YEH's charm. That's why it's my number one do over because there's so much that could have been done to make it better imo.

No, actually it was good - right up until the last 15 minutes -kinda like WBDS. You go along in your happy cloud, enjoying what you're watching, mooning over the OTP (or in WBDS's case, the Bromance Couple) and then it's a great, big WTF for an ending. But that alone doesn't take much away from the enjoyment of those other watched hours. Goong still remains as one of my early favorites.

It's not the worst k-drama ever, it definitely had its moments. But overall I was just really disappointed because I know it could have been so much better. I think I'm more critical than others when it comes to this drama because I love the idea so much that the disappointment is harder for me. You should really watch it and judge for yourself.

ooh I want to play this game too! I would choose "Mary Stays out All Night" b/c all of the three leads are awesome actors and the plot potential of marriage hijink is so rich and cracktastic. Yet, the drama fail so horrendously in so many ways.

I LOVED Goong and still do. Maybe because it was only my 3rd kdrama ever, but I love it warts and all. I was re-watching an episode the other day and still getting all teary-eyed over the ridiculous angst! I'm hopeless. But, I'd redo My Princess.

Thanks for the Podcast, ladies!
It's nice to know that playing 'gross-out' games at PJ parties will never go out of style. I'm way older than you two, and we did the same stuff back in the Dark Ages!
Looking forward to the next Podcast. Hope you'll take up time-travel, why every K drama ends up with 15 different titles and the reasons behind the revolving door of main-lead casting. It would also be interesting to hear your take on the current strike and the domino effect it takes on all K-drama.

Thank you for the podcast! Having been one of the 'just watch a couple more episodes, it gets better' people - I can say that listening to your thoughts on the drama has clarified my own.
Things I was confused by and just thought it was me, I now realize are faults of the drama. JB being so different and me not understanding why, for example. The 'bad but not really' dancing and singing.
Still, I will watch to the bitter (and recently slightly bloody) end, humming the B Song and wondering how JB could adore Rian, then Hae Sung, then Rian again, with nary a breath between them. As long as my Jin Woonie gets some happiness and I can look at that cute little chicken beak nose...I'm good. I'm thinking his song will be for his mom, of course.
...and I'd like to know how NaNa resolves her two suitors situation. Maybe she ditches them and runs off with Ailee.

About DH2:
The rookies are supposed to be bad, but they aren't. The Idols are supposed to be great but are average imo. Conclusion: Everyone has the same good but not exceptional level in acting/dancing/singing, and i don't even understand why they bother with marks, grades and ranking in that school. I will watch till the end for the few cute sequences here and there (and the male lead--WARNING-WARNING, A STAR IS BORN!!), but the artistic part of that drama is a fail all the way for me. The sudden change in characterization just made me laugh: If they had kept the "everyone is evil" ways of the start, i would have dropped it. That said, changing the psychology of the characters (and the love interests) so suddenly and for no clear reason keeps me from taking this show seriously. The recent Truck of Doom was supposed to bring angst, but seriously... I think we don't have a pilot in that plane, or it's a monkey.

hahahah 'truck of doom'
When I saw that coming I actually said out loud to the computer "You have got to be sh***ing me.' I mean, why bother. Sam Dong can still sing, so of course JB will still dance.
As far as grades and marking go, they gave up any pretence of it being a school long ago. It's a captive stable of auditioners for the super idol group. I don't even CARE about that, or who gets it.
I want to see my cute little Chicken Beak, and I want to know what happens with Nana and her boys, and I'd kind of like Emo Girl to get some traction with her dad. And go on a date with that cute boy.
I don't particularly care about JB, that other girl who's not an Idol, Ailee, or the teachers. And after watching the ridiculous attempt at stunned/shocked/dazed/WHATEVER in the hospital and after....I no longer care a bit about Hae Sung. She phoned in the SJS of performances.

I stopped watching at ep13 with the "truck of doom" and now debating whether I would like to waste 3 hours of my life until the end. I figured that I'll just wait for the last 3 episodes then fast forward it to the end because I might get more Jinwoo goodness. I'm insanely in love with his version of Starlight is Falling and You Walking Towards Me. I no longer care about the characters I'm just trolling for downloadable songs.
JB and GF were spot on, the cast did get a lobotomy en masse because it's 50% discount.
