Happy Freeday everyone!

So I turned the big 3-0 last week and to celebrate I fangirled like a teenager at 2NE1's MTV performance.

Gah! I'm so behind on dramas because I was busy at work and preparing for finals, so this weekend I have to catch up and I plan on starting "What's Up" and I'm seriously thinking about dropping "The Musical" instead.

How's everyone else's Friday going?

Another year beginning and I am enjoying reading the year end reviews. There were many dramas I started watching but did not finish, so sad. My resolution for 2012 finish those dramas before another review comes around.

HOORAY FOR THE WEEKEND!

I'm looking forward to watching some K-drama's this weekend. I can't decide which ones to watch. Any suggestions?

I'm also looking for new Japanese dramas or movies...I'm not very familiar with Japanese stuff, I've only seen a couple movies. Suggestions would be nice :3

I am home for Christmas. Finally!

After traveling & waiting for almost 12 hours, I am extremely pleased to be back to where I truly belong. Mother said I'm too skinny, father said my hair is too long and sister just punched my arm. Good reunion, that.

Isn't it great that when December comes, KDrama reviews start to flow out? Reading all those great reviews made me wish to write one myself. Hmm, maybe 2012?

A great weekend for all :D

Hello, everyone!

Only one more week of school until it's break!
I really like Color of a Woman too, but I feel like episode three and four were very slow. The drama is very low-key, which can be enjoyable and annoying. I knew that I had seen "Jinjoo" before! She was in Soulmate!
She really annoys me -___-.

I love Me Too, Flower! but lately I've been getting sick of its push and pull. I feel like there's no way for a well made ending to occur anymore.

I haven't been watching Tree With Deep Roots since episode 16, but rather keeping up with the recaps. I want to get back into it, but..... too little time :-(.

Hopefully I get to catch up when break finally comes.

Is "What's Up?" worth it? I saw the first 10 minutes but ended up exiting out..... Someone convince me!! I want to watch it, but..... Something is pulling me away from doing so haha. Opinions?

This week past, said goodbye to TWDrama "In Time With You". Getting ready to say goodbye to FBRS and VP (the first season, hint hint drama gods).

Now to say hello to Color of Woman and Padam Padam, and continue with Ojakgyo Brothers, and JDrama Nankyoku Tairiku.

Heh, maybe I need to clear my mind with some Teletubbies or something else mindless. Oh wait, there's another Real World on MTV, nevermind. lol

Just got to watching The Princess' Man. I'm almost halfway through. Gotta finish this before Monday...so I can start another kdrama that I missed! If only I've watched this sooner, I would've voted for them as best couple! All that repressed feelings sure makes them (and me) hot! The soundtrack's great too!

Happy Friday everyone!

Christmas is next week and how awesome are the k-mart secret santas paying off the layaway bills for others?

What is your favorite Christmas movie?

My fave movie is 'It's a Wonderful Life' (1946). A touching story about a man who did not see the value of his life and tried to commit suicide but was able to see how valuable his life was by an angel.

My second fave movie is 'Have a little Faith' (2011). A touching story about how people of different ethnicities and religion can help each other. I won't be surprised if it gets nominated for an award in the near future.

My third fave movie is 'Home Alone 2' (1992). I love this movie. Everytime I watch it and it never fails to make me laugh.

I really like the storyline for FBRS, but I just couldn't get myself into it because Jung Il-Woo reminds me a gay friend---the why he looks and acts.....reminds me sooo much of that my friend. And the actress who play EB looks like my cousin, so it like the my friend kissing my cousin in my mind....just couldn't picture it anymore.

Happy OT!!

Has anyone watched episode 12 of Me Too, Flower?

I felt so angsty after watching it. The characters' emotions are rubbing off me. Left me with a heavy heart the WHOLE day.

Does anyone know if the drama's going to run 15 or 16 episodes in total?

So, got pics today!

For Ricky HRH Oppa: A pic of me at 17. Cuz I'm really not Jessica Alba. But, I was passable.... :0)

And just because, two pics of the cutie I married...taken in 1977. One, after working unloading a truckload of manure for his dad's business.

In drama stuff I marathoned One Fine Day because I was having Gong Yoo withdrawals. Not bad, I kind of liked it.

Started Padam, Padam, LOVE it so far. Still following Musical, FBRS (LOVE LOVE LOVE IT), MOH, 1000 Kisses, and MTF (which I unexpectedly like).

One more week until I get to fly home to AZ and have mom's home made mexican. YUM! Hopefully my plugged up ear will not be plugged, or it's gonna be a long painful flight.

Good morning, all!

Weather here on the East Coast (US) is clear & cold - still no snow, though.

Have been watching Padam, Padam. Only on ep. 4, but the writing is approaching brilliant, the actors are wonderful. Kim Bum finally has a role that shows what he's capable of - this will be a career-defining step in his filmography. He's bringing it big-time. Between the physical changes to his body, the intensity he brings to his character - well, it's beyond startling to watch him and I'm thrilled to see this happening for him.

Also enjoying What's Up? - it's on a totally different level from YFFM, DH, or the disaster that is The Musical.
It's more like a melo with really good music.

Just watched the first ep of Fermentation Family. Love Song Il-guk but HATE that scrawny mustache he's sporting, and there's WAY too much kung-foo fighting going on. He really was made for sageuks - just hoping that FF won't be another fail for him.

Was dreaming about 6PACK last night, with Junsu dancing & singing "Intoxication" in the background....
***sigh***
:)

I posted pics for assorted people, they'll show up when it gets moderated.

Ricky, oppa...one of them is for you. Me at 17. Not Jessica Alba, but not bad. :0)

Off to hubby's company Christmas lunch. Not my favorite thing, or his either, really. He works contract, so he goes where they send him. So, he doesn't spend a lot of time with any of the employees except the actual boss, who he doesnt' really like. Sounds fun, eh? Well, it's free food at Cheesecake Factory and after the lame bonus we got (1/4 of last years) hubby says he's ordering 10 platters of babyback ribs, lol.

This weeks fave show: Padam Padam! LOVE it so far. Hope it manages to keep it up until the end. Bummie's a cutie in this, but I keep wanting to feed him tamales or something to fatten him up. Definitely like the longer hair on him.

Hello everyone!

I wonder what's everyone's secret wish for Christmas/winter holiday ;). Have you asked Santa for any particular gift?

I'm broke so all the shopping I do now is for groceries but I'd really really like a ticket for a music concert for next year. I'd like to dance like a teen and sing like crazy for one night - all that in a city where nobody knows me :).

Happy OT and Weekend to everybody.

A week after my arrival to Spain:

I love my mom's attempts to spoil me, though they are excesive and unnecessary

I'm not surprise my dad hasn't change and talks nonstop, about anything while the rest of us is trying to watch a movie. I have to love him tho, he's the only dad I got :)

It´s good to know that even though I spent a year away, I´m still trained to deal with the sarcastic way my family uses to comunicate.

I got almost kill by a golf ball thrown by my 1.5 years old niece. But she is sooooo sweet that I forgot about the pain soon enough.

I´m not complaining tho, I love to be back home

Hello Dramabeans Weekenders!
Are you all itchy for the new year? How do this year's dramas rate? I think I have 5 that I couldn't have done without, or I feel privileged to know about.
All this talk about watching new dramas is making me frustrated! Dramafever is slow with the uploading, viki has some "not yet availables" I'm watching too many old shows and I don't even get a true christmas holiday this year!!!
I am enjoying playful kiss, surprisingly. I had started it when it came out but the odd daydream sequences were off-putting. However since then I've seen a few japanese dramas and playful kiss has nothing on them in terms of fantasy scenes. I've decided to comfort myself with thinking of how little of your frustrations I will experience by being a bit behind on dramas. When you are gnashing your teeth waiting for new episodes I will have many!
HaHA!

Was hoping to meet up with a dear friend that's like my unni yesterday but somehow we missed each other (although we were a few hundred metres apart from each other). She had a 12 hour layover, so I'm all sad I didn't get to see her because I don't know when we'll get chance to meet up next, boohoo. )-:

But I did wake to find a DVD from the Korean Cultural Centre UK on my stairs (for the film "Moss"), which I won because I filled out surveys diligently during the London Korean Film Festival. So that cheered me a bit.

Dramawise:
-skipped episode 21 of "Sunshine Angel" (TW). Just couldn't be bothered and decided I'll just go straight to the final episode (22) because I'm sure I missed NOTHING.

-"In Time with You" (TW) finished. Finished as predicted. The final episode was cute, YQ redeemed herself a little because the flirty YQ and Da Ren were just too cute. But, my overall verdict is not so great: initial episodes were fine, but once YQ got together with her ex it went downhill. I just thought her character changed too much from what she had been presented as initially and she acted so dumb! Oh, I also thought the Li Wei 'twist' in the final episode was an unneeded cop-out (although, at least YQ came to her decision before that twist).

-Still waiting for the subs of most recent episodes of "A Thousand Kisses".
-Loving "Padam Padam". Will be watching episodes 3 and 4 tonight! Can't wait.
-Started "What's up". Looking good so far. Loving several characters very much already.
-Marathoned episodes 11-18 of "Protect the Boss" (I was scanning books and while doing that watching). Loved it. I was worried for a while that the two guys fighting over the girl would be dragged out till the end, but fortunately it wasn't. Was sad for Jaejoong for the longest while (because I knew his heart would be broken), but even that turned out fine. I loved the main couple, but I also loved the secondary leads and most of all I just loved the dynamic of the three girls together. They.totally.rocked. I would love to have more secondary characters like Na Yoon - so much preferred her to evil, manipulative, perfect love competitions. Of course, she was meant to be a sort of spoof of that kind of stereotypical k-drama character...

Happy Friday, Fellow Beaners!! I have not been sooo happy to see a Friday in a long time, and I hope you all have had a fun week as well, staying warm (where applicable), and not skipping your meals. Starting off with the Most Important News™ (well, at least in my life), is the following:

OUR TRIAL IS OVER – WE WON!!! (cue happy dance music…)

What was originally budgeted by the Court was a 5- or 6-day event. Taking into consideration the Thanksgiving Holidays, half-days and uncalled-for delays by the opposing counsel, it actually ended up taking 17 days total. The other side finished their testimony around lunchtime on Tuesday, and the jury was dismissed for the day. We immediately moved for a directed verdict (which basically is telling the Judge that the plaintiffs didn’t prove their case, that we didn’t need to present any defense testimony, and that no verdict should be held against us). After deliberating for a day, she called us all down to Court yesterday morning and said she was ruling in our favor… and that she was also sanctioning the opposing counsel for a delay in trial proceedings (which is the same as a ‘delay of game’ penalty in football). So… case closed. Cha-cha!! :)

Now granted, the other side could appeal the Judge's decision, but after assuming what were massive amounts of costs spent in just getting to trial, I’m thinking NOT. Excuse me while I celebrate (happy dance again). My managing attorney was so pleased that he gave me today off to chill out… which I will gladly take advantage of, since I have no Christmas decorations up nor a clean apartment in which to receive guests for Christmas festivities. Argh. So I’m gonna start doing just that, and will be running errands and other what-nots today to catch up.

But I did promise to send on a link to the Soompi Bachelor Vegetable Store forum so you can see the Press Conference pictures I put up there (no membership necessary to look at The Pretty), so here that is (the photos begin on Page 3): http://tinyurl.com/7ndo2xb. There are also several pictures on my Tumblr, but they were mostly of His Hotness (no duh…). Being an Equal Opportunity Drooler, I will put up the rest of the cast shots today, so stay tuned!

So on that note, I’m off to the grocery store to fight off the other ahjummas also shopping for weekend foods... and I’m going to treat myself to a huge bowl of bibimbap for lunch as well. Life is good, chingus. See you all in a few!!

Another Friday, a beautiful sunny morning!

2011 is almost over, huh?

I don't think I watched much this year. The only drama I completely watched is Dream High. For some reason, that was really easy and fun to watch.

I tried to watch a lot but never finished. Among those that are half-way through are: 49 days, Scent of a Woman, Protect the Boss, and now...Princess's man.

The few ones that I honorably give...5 minutes to are... City Hunter, Best Love...which are super popular. *sigh*

Other than that, I haven't been able to get into any Korean drama.

Oh I wish I can get into it again.

I hope you are all having successful days. I am attempting to write/work again this weekend. I think this may be possible as the house is clean...Cleaning made possible because I am waiting to watch all of the remaining FBRS episodes for Christmas. We get Boxing Day off, as it is a bankers' holiday this year in the US. BUWAHAHA!!!

I will be in the mountains with the family, so I am taking this opportunity to wish everyone HAPPY WINTER! Happy Holidays!

Happy Friday!

One more week of work and then shut-down! I will be on call but historically that means about 3 hours of work over the week, yay!

I pick up my daughter from school this weekend for her break, also yay! The dog will be very happy to have someone to sleep with again. She's tiny and cute but no dogs in my bed.

Watching Me Too Flower (so sweet, that couple, want to hug them both and feed them warm soup! And kick Hwa Young in the butt, right down a flight of stairs into a dumpster or something else nasty.)

Also Padam Padam - wow, so not what I was expecting, and happily surprised.

Also FBRS - just saw the date episode and I am more firmly convinced than ever that she does not end up with Cha Chi Soo. I'm at least willing to consider that she doesn't end up with Kang Hyuk either, but darn, that's what I want. I really really really want!

Planning to start What's Up, based on recommendations I'm seeing and recap I read.

Over the break I'll be watching DH again with daughter's friend, college age, and a Kdrama virgin. I will also marathon the rest of WBDS and I think I might pick up The Princess's Man.

And of course this week I am madly knitting hats, cutting paper, and thinking about candy making.

Happy Friday! Almost Holiday break! w00t!

Hi JoAnne Unni! *waves* Hello everyone! *waves both hands*

I watched Ahjussi. WOW. What a fantastic film! I heard it was too violent, but I thought the violence was fitting. Won Bin was so amazing. I actually wasn't completely focused on his hotness, but on the plight of his character. The girl was captivating. I was shocked to see the guy from Secret Garden as a bad guy. I didn't recognize him and only realized it was him when I looked at the cast lineup. Talk about awesome acting!

I finished Dream High. So good! I had (of course) a few bones to pick with the portrayal of music school but we can't have it all Soo-hyun, singing, dancing...I like how they kept using the line "This is how my face always looks" for Suzy's Hye-mi. That said, I want to be in a flash mob...with Sumi Jo (the opera singer who was tutoring Hye-mi. She is one of the BEST opera singers in the WORLD.)

I also started How to Meet a Perfect Neighbor because of PSH but I'm enjoying it so far even though he hasn't been in it much.

Next on the docket is Vampire Prosecutor, Padam Padam, Dal Ja's Spring and Best Love...again:D

Hello Everyone! *HUGS and KISSES even!!!*

I really would love to read all of your comments, however I have a couple of little problems preventing me.

1. Migrane headache two days ago, regular headache yesterday, and glasses broke today so I'm wearing the coke bottle spares that make the screen look distorted and don't want to risk another headache today.

2. Busy wrapping Christmas Gifts.

I'll try to read more once I get my appointment done and glasses made. I go for appt. at 3:30 p.m. (it's 1:40 p.m. now) Then it takes them 1 hour to make the glasses. So I should be able to read tonight after dinner! :-)

So I'll mostly be lurking since everyone will be gone by that time!

Watched Blind! I liked it. Flippin cried at this one scene. If anyone is interested in seeing it it's on youtube. I also watched Sector 7 which was horrible. The only upside was Ha Ji Won. I mean it's hard to enjoy a moving when everyone is trying their hardest to kill the thing that just won't die! It's tiring.

I thought I would write a pome for Cha Chi Soo, but I decided to write something else.

Cha Chi Su is a single grain of rice that his father encased in gold and placed up on the highest shelf to protect him. He is not an ordinary grain but a ChaSung grain, never to mingle with the commoners who seep together in the mundane soup du jour.

He has no smell. His heart recalled a time of odors; his mother’s cooking, but he brushed away these memories because they hurt his heart.

Then Eun Bi came along, smacked him with the volleyball, and made a tiny crack in his shell.
Her passion touched him, he felt a something stir from inside. When she and the Onion accused him of being flavorless, he was confused.
For CCS, touching and being touched means getting dirty – getting “things” on himself.

He would have to completely remove his golden exterior.

If he did that, he would be unremarkable, average. He would share in what average folks experience.
He would lose his air of superiority.
But rice came from a warm, moist place and for rice to reach to its full potential, it needs to be heated, steamed, boiled, fried. It needs to be flavored; it needs other elements to make it delicious.

Right now Cha Chi Soo is faced with giving up his old identity and being offered a chance to become part of Yang Eun Bi’s boiling pot. What decision will make?

Welcome to the weekend everybody.

Hope you're all set for a good one in the countdown to the New Year.

Ojakgyo Brothers has got my attention. Married bro's MIL is seriously wacko-imagine being married to her!

I'm watching some episodes of FBRS. Don't want to eat the ramen noodles-why don't they order in pre-made?-but bribe me with caviar or even tamanegi and I'll be there.

I really liked the 1st ep of Color of a Woman but the 2nd was a bit of a let down-like what's with the HR couple? and the 'friend' is really annoying. Anyway will keep watching and hoping the best for now.

Happy OT Friday everyone!

I am more than half-way through my Christmas gift wrapping.

On the edge of my seat anticipating the last two episodes of TwDR.

I am making the list for places to go to in 2012. South Korea is on top of my list. I so want to go to catch the Cherry Blossom Festival and experience cherry blossoms (or even plum blossoms) raining down on me.

Does anyone have an idea about when this is going to occur? I have searched on the internet but no definite dates are given. I need the dates so I can plan my activities and make the flight bookings and such early enough.

This is almost a literal drive-by post…I'm on public transportation on my way to rehearsal and the 1st of 2 wakes this weekend. (No one close, but 2 very nice women that we knew and cared abt.). It's been a crazy, crazy week on many fronts, completely styming my prsnl vow to live-watch Padam Padam. Le sigh.

But I'll run off on a happy note: CSG gets friendlier every day…and the IT guy may be interested ;)

Happy Friday everyone!

I marathon-ed White Christmas about a week ago after seeing some ppl talking about it on the OT, since I love both psychological thrillers and dramas set in high schools. WOW. I have not seen such a tightly written kdrama since...Story of a Man, to be honest. I did not think it was possible to cram so much plot twists and character development into 8 measly episodes. It really reminds of Mawang/The Devil, in it's moody stillness and starkly beautiful visuals and how it made me really think, long after it was finished.

Eagerly anticipating the final ep of Vampire Prosecutor-- please give us a second season drama gods! With the same PD and writers, please! In the meantime, I've checked out the first two eps of What's Up (purely because it was by the same writer as Story of a Man) and loved it.

i'm loving padam padam!

omg, i had tears when Kang Chil asked Ji Na if 'that guy' can date. its been a while i felt this much empathy towards a character, but i seriously seriously want a happy ending for him. he's so innocent and straightforward which makes his interaction with Ji Na so cute. and he's so amused and awed by women (or by her to be exact) at how small their fingers are that they seem like they will break if he touch them LOL. he's so transparent and simple which is a complete contrast to Ji Na. watching them is really heartwarming. its amazing how JWS and HJM can have this much chemistry when they can look like father and daughter by height and look.

this drama also provide great laugh for me. omg, i died laughing when KC's mom started singing and he played the guitar
