I read the manga, and there is a little bit of sex-robot in there... O.O too bad they'll edit it

Okay... so after reading this post i jumped on youtube to sample this drama. I ended up watching the special episode and... I can't believe it but I bawled like a baby. Still sobbing as I type AND I DIDN'T EVEN WATCH THE DRAMA. I don't even cry anymore when i watch dramas but this broke me from one measly special! =O It was sooooooooooooooooooo goood. I can't see Top being Night... just no.

I love Zettai Kareshi. I laughed then cried with Tenjo Nighto. the manga sets on a highschool premise, while the dorama was a young working girl. What now this time with Kdrama? Kim Haneul is very beautiful, but she's too old to be paired with TOP.

Unless the Kdrama version wants to go with a sadistic & cold sexbot who falls in love with a lonely sex addict noona who mail ordered her very own full size walking (and vibrating) sex toy. Uhm... On a second thought, I'm totally gonna watch it if it comes to that! Nekkid TOP.. Yumm! Whatever TOP is & will be doing, I'm gonna follow anyway. I'm obsessed with him!!

after into the fire, top's acting has improved dramatically, but i still see him as robotic.. definitely not up to par with other young actors. and i like kim haneul, but i would NOT cast her in this adaptation.

I was thinking TOp will be a good robot boyfriend.. But now that you say he looks scary, I can see that. Never seen Zettai Kareshi because of the ridiculous premise but if there is a k remake, I'll check it out.

OH, and Kim Ha Neul is a good actress but she's too old to play the character of Riiko Azawa.

I want to know who they will cast as the third leg of the triangle, her ..boss or a co-worker. He seems like a more interesting character, at least from Hiro's adaption.

I've seen Absolute Boyfriend 5 times already and hearing this news of Korean adaptation is making me anxious to watch it <3 however, I cannot imagine Kim Ha-Neul portraying the lead role for some reason (maybe because she give off an aura of being really independent who can make guys drool all over her,,, maybe it's just me) and TOP? I like him but I also do not see him as the robot boyfriend (I agree with javabeans about him looking kind of scary).

I don't know why but Kim So-Eun has been popping in my head as the female protagonist. I also like Lee Chung-Ah (but she has another project already). For the role of Night, I'm imagining Lee Min-Ho, Lee Seung-Gi, or Choi Si-Won...

Errr the robot is sweet and a gentlemen! TOP is too fierce to do the role!! Nooooo T__T

In the Jdrama Night would say on occasion something along the lines of, "Want to have sex now?" This never happens. I don't see why they would cut that out if the action never occurs which is sad to say least. I mean in the drama she made him a flipping wild cat. rawr. Anyways, Top? Hm, this is a case of "I'll have to see it to believe it" sorta thing.

HOW DARE YOU GROUP BATMAN AND SUPERMAN TOGETHER! One is a complete masterpiece why the other is a complete disasterpiece-o-shit.

I can't help but be a bit pissed off by comments abt TOP's looks being mean and that he'd not suited for cute roles. It's obvious the people commenting haven't seen TOP in anything else than let's say IRIS and maybe a BIGBANG MV. Seriously I won't defend his acting, since he's clearly unexperienced and even in Into the fire was still a bit awkward (though I think he did a decent job, better than Kwon Sang Woo actually), but judging him on his looks and stage persona or deep voice is really wrong.
Just try and watch one interview or behind the scenes of him and you'll see that he's one of the cutest and most shy guys in the kpop entertainment, plus a big goofball, he's everything but cold and scary.
Does one need to speak like a girl and have shaved eyebrows to be considered nice/cute. This is BS. Sorry for the rant but I really hate comments abt people's looks (at least he didn't go for plastic surgery like so many others).

I hope it's not true. She's too old for the part and I'm sick of seeing her face. I don't find her attractive at all and don't see why everyone makes a big deal about her. :-/ I guess it's just one of those things I don't understand.

As for TOP as Night I don't see it either.

NO! I lurve TOP but I think the casting is totally wrong. Playing a robot won't get TOP anywhere and Kim Haneul is so not right for the role!!!

As much as I'm a VIP, I can't imagine TOP as Night. TOP's features are too rugged which would be difficult when you're trying to portray a flower boy. In my four years of knowing Big Bang, I've never seen a topless picture of TOP. I know he was overweight as a kid so that's probably the reason for his refusal to bare his body.

However, YG's been going through some tough times lately. Daesung's accident and GD's marijuana incident has really affected their reputation. Absolute Boyfriend might be their savior. I want to see how this plays out. We all know how much YG loves to troll.

Kim Haneul sure is milking these Japanese adaptations. I was never a big fan of her acting, but I could see her playing the lead in You're My Pet. Not so much for Absolute Boyfriend. The lead's supposed to be a teen (despite the Japanese version screwing that up).

I just wonder how the Korean version is going to handle the sexual suggestiveness of the plot. The officials constantly ban everything; it's ridiculous! I honestly can't see this drama reaching broadcast stations without a revision of character interaction unless it's going to be on cable.

As much as I luv luv T.O.P i can't see him in this role... I don't know why i keep on picturing Daniel Henney playing the perfect robot...

TOP is great, he can be a different version of Night!(robot's name, i didn't really read the manga, but i know the story)

The castings all wrong. I mean its supposed to be a high school girl with a sexbot that I somehow feel like TOP doest quite fit the role...the story's not even that great....

I remember reading Zettai Kareshi and I wasn't a big fan... I finished it because I needed to know what happens but other than that I never was interested in anything else from it... so I never watched the drama and don't know much about the cast in that version.

I was thinking about the casting for the k-version - I have nothing to say about KHN because I don't know much about her though i did like her in Almost Love and Too Beautiful to Lie. I've realized I have never watched a drama she was in.

And then I was thinking on TOP... I love TOP, especially when he's doing that finger dance thing, he's absolutely gorgeous on stage. but I think TOP would look like a scare robot boyfriend. for sure it would scare me if he arrived in a box to my house... I'd think I've been sent a mafia boss bot or something... lol..

Loved the jap version... Zettai Kareshi.

seriously???? Kim Ha Neul??? Yesssss！！！！any drama or movies with her is on my watch list.... And i don't think she is too old pairing with TOP. She looks forever young.... And the most important one, she can pull out every roles that given to her very very well..... So in this matter, i still believed that TOP was given advantage to learn from his sunbaenim.... Hehehe..... Afterall, they re both very good looking and height matching. Oiya, if TOP is going topless in the drama, they just give me more reason to watch this..... Haha...

Well, he is supposed to be perfect, but if I remember correctly, several times they say that he supposed to also be used for sex.... And since it's a shojo manga, you've got a lot of blushing and things about it because the robot is also super hot.

But hey, don't get tooo creeped out. xD The manga also had a really cool (imo) second lead. A guy who's hot and nice and her friend. And also not a robot.

I kind of find it funny that TOP has this "scary" vibe.

For real, it is ALL smoke and mirrors. If you watch any behind the scenes/interviews/etc, you see that he is actually this really weird/ goofy/ insecure guy. He just happens to have great charisma while performing, and eyes that look intense.

But he's really NOT. He is like a giant 5 year old. He collects toys, he's super shy around people he doesn't know, and even his bandmates call him a weirdo right to his face.

Also, I just reread what I wrote, and I hope that didn't sound snotty haha. I just love TOP :D.

I think TOP could pull this role off... as for the body, Idk since I haven't seen him half naked....

As for Kim Ha Neul, I absolutely love her dramas, but I don't think she's the right fit. She doesn't really have that innocent look, maybe it's due to her age, maybe not.

I guess we'll see, but the Japanese version of Zettai Kareshi is going to be hard to beat!!!

I didn't watch the Jdorama, but in the manga he was a sexbot :D I wonder if MBC would allow them to broadcast like sexual jokes and stuff (cause thats what makes this story awesome!) Absolute Boyfriend is a really, REALLY great show! If you like Hana Yori Dango, javabeans, you'd probably like it too. Normally I don't go for Jdoramas. They're a bit silly. But HYD and AB are two exceptions.

its kinda off to me hearing people said KHN is too old, too old.... She is just 32, right? And seriously she looks much younger than that. And too look like she is now, is freaking awesome.... She might not suitable for a high school girl, but she is perfect as a college or a young biz woman... just twist the story background a lil bit and voila.... for TOP, he is good choice too...good looking, good shape... Just off that smokey make up in the eyes, and giggle a lil, he is good to go.... I'm just worry he can't balance KHN in acting, as i trust he still a newbie in this field.... But, well... I think he can manage it just fine.... Looking forward for this one.... Hope its confirmed......

hihi to be honest most of jdramas i watched was always put the mimic a lil bit too much.... Even a mature woman in the series act like a lil girl.... Well, its wayyy better to put ha neul here, i can't stand it if they picked from korean girl band members.... Which probably suitable for high schooler girl, but...Its going to be all sweety syalala....

Ha Neul is a good actress but I really dont understand why cant they get a younger actress? She is already 33 and TOP only 24 oh NO. ??? Again how can she wearing school uniform at the age of 33?

Holy crap! I totally called that this remake would happen, but with Korean Rui as the robot boyfriend...

I have issues with the premise too, girlfriday. I have seen the Japanese version, and I don't think it has been adapted that much- just the J-drama from the manga. It turned out better than it sounded, but still fundamentally flawed, because no matter how much A.I. he picks up... still a robot.

The last episode of the drama made up for a lot with some needed emotional gravitas, but I am not sure I'll be sticking with the Korean one beyond the first episode to check out the trainwreck.

As much as I'm dying to see TOP again, I also kind of don't want him to do this at all hahahah. I feel conflicted.

I mean, I suppose it's good that he tries to take a variety of characters (although I guess he's only had like one and a half), but I just can't see this going right. I suppose it doesn't help that I've seen the Japanese drama and read the manga. (I don't know what propelled me to do it. Don't ask haha.)

i just gotta pray that they don't cast TOP. anyone who knows Zettai Kareshi - should know that Night should be a pretty boy with "model-type" body and TOP just don't fit the bill.

also, check out the jdrama, which the kdrama in no way could do better imho.
