javabeans: So, whatchoo gonna do with/to Lee Min-ho in the full ten seconds you’ll get before you’re forcibly escorted away?
girlfriday: That part’s rated R, but what’s important is how to get close to him. First, I need to go shopping.
javabeans: Only R? I’m disappointed in your lack of creativity.

girlfriday: I know, right? Though then we’d also have to kidnap the PD. And his crew.
javabeans: First things first. We wouldn’t want to get ahead of ourselves, now would we?
girlfriday: Right. Okay, so how to overpower a guy so tall? Well if Nana Bear managed to slam him over her shoulder, I could too, right?
javabeans: Go for the bum knee.
girlfriday: HA. Not above fighting dirty. I like it.
javabeans: Well, with great risk comes great reward. His risk, our reward.
girlfriday: As long as we’ve got that straight. But then where will we keep him? Will we have to tie him up and feed him and read to him, like Ajusshi did with McCreepy?
javabeans: You ask too many questions. Kidnap first, details later. I’m sure it’ll all work out.
girlfriday: Especially when I’ve worked out all the details, like swapping out a fake identical getaway car under a bridge. It’s foolproof.
javabeans: What could possibly go wrong?
girlfriday: By the by, since I’m doing all the work, hands off my Lee Min-ho.

I love this web site.......
Therefore, I'm willing to donate to the bail
money fund if the crime spree plan doesn't
work out. Although it wouldn't be too hard
to evade capture if a few hundred (thousands,
perhaps) of LMH fans "overwhelmed" the cops.
They can't arrest...ALL...the people in a mob. :)
And I hope that whoever takes the photographs
does a better job than the New York City photos.
Sitting in a van? A restaurant? In an ugly, out-sized
black & white herringbone-print chair? Yeah, those
photos shout New York, all right. There was one
picture that I assume was Park Avenue. (The
tree-lined median was a clue to its location, but
it could have been ANY cityscape.) Pathetic.....all
of the missed photo opportunities of NYC.
So how come there aren't any mountains left in
Korea, anymore? Did somebody move them "to
the States?" Well, I guess that Los Angeles.....
IS.....the camping capitol of America. Ha, ha, ha.
OK, it's a good chance to go to a foreign country
but I think that even LMH might have a tough time
convincing people to wear heavy mountain-climbing
clothing, while everyone else is surfing the beach at
Malibu. Go figure.
PS......Really looking forward to seeing
javabeans and girlfriday's "WANTED" picture
printed on a milk carton. Go get 'em girls!!!!!

think of as an "abundant mountain" destination. :)
Wouldn't you fly instead to Denver, Seattle,
or someplace in Alaska if you HAD TO take
photos in the US? Unless you wanted to go
to LA specifically, for a computer-graphic
heaven atmosphere, to fake a really impressive
group of photos; not that I'm positive that LA
is where you would go for that, either.
But as I said before...what's wrong with the
mountains in Korea? They get moved someplace
else? :)

This puzzled me too. Apparently the shoot involves real rock climbing, not indoor walls, and they have been training on indoor walls in Korea before this trip. It was going to be in Australia but the weather wasn't going to hold up so it was changed to L.A. Wonder where they'll do it. Malibu Creek State Park? Heck, they could even go out to Joshua Tree.

True story: A Korean restaurant I've been to in Gardena had been frequented by celebrities. The manager put pictures on the wall, including Kim Sang Joong and Kim So Yeon eating together.

It used to be an octopus restaurant, but it changed ownership and became a Korean BBQ joint But I think they kept the pictures on the wall.
It's a very small restaurant (titled in Korean, so I don't know the exact name) on the corner of Redondo Beach Blvd and South Manhattan Place. (NOT the strip mall, it's roughly across the street from Yellow Cow.)
If you go there, can you tell me know who the actress is wearing sunglasses? I think it's Han Ye Seul (who is from Cerritos) , but the cashier didn't think so. She said it was a famous person but wasn't sure who.

I saw him , but he is quickly walking towards the van. He is gorgeous and really tall. The bodyguards are really strict.
Oh My God I cant get enough of him.
There is one thing I noticed with the korean artist, when they are here in LA it looks like they are really scared of the crowd and to think its as many compare to the crowd in other asian countries. So far the most admirable and approachable person to me is SIWON, he know s how to say hi and smile to his fans all the time. LMH looks so scared, he does not want to show his gorgeous face.

also, not to be inappropriately critical, since this is after all your personal site, but i've noticed that you guys have been posting a lot of these conversations between the two of you lately. while i can see how they're kinda fun, they do detract somewhat from the quality of the writing, and it makes me wonder if you guys wouldn't be better served by a good editor sometimes... they make me feel almost voyeuristic, as if i'm peeking into a private gchat convo, with all the ennui and prosaic back-and-forth that such a convo would entail to an outsider. just my opinion, anyway...

If you have seen LMH videos at Lax, doesn't it look weird that he has no security staff around (his regular tall bodyguard is missing), no stylist, no manager, no luggage, with him, just one dude with him...Did they use a diversion strategy?

I read on a blog from someone who actually saw LMH today, she said most fans were waiting at the regular exit while he took the VIP exit so that could explain the almost zero crowd.

Not too terribly smart, Min-ho.......
If he wanted to avoid crazy "kidnapping" fans, :)
(who could I possibly be refering to?) and use
a VIP exit (I've never heard of a VIP exit existing
at ANY airport) then he found himself pretty much
alone and lost at LAX. And that was no VIP exit
or anything like it in the video; not with the
"nobodies" constantly walking through that area.
Yeah, there are lounges to keep the VIPs away
from riff-raff like us, but not VIP exits or entrances.
If you're...THAT...famous, and safety is a worry,
they hide you in a truck that's delivering the food
supply for the next flight, then you roll right up to
the plane on the runway tarmac, and you never
set foot in the airport terminal.
LMH doesn't know English, at least not well enough
to negotiate an airport situation, and as the cars
and vans rolled by, did he even have a clue who
was supposed to pick him up?
Instructions for the future~
1. Use the "peasant entrance" like the rest of us.
2. Smile and wave hello to the fans. It won't kill you.
3. OK......Have the security guards carry weapons.
The name of the country is not "the states."

Dang, I'm only two hours away on the 405, and I'm sure he's safely ensconced in his hotel by now. Shoulda checked Dramabeans my 'Breakfast Reading Material' before heading to work today!!
And I was wondering why Netflix Streaming was acting like molasses in January tonight, all sluggy and stuff. CH has been partially loaded -- my prayers are (sort of) answered for more K-dramas!!

I always have problem with LMH's hair. His hair (and the lead actress) were what made me drop BOF and now I can't stand this hair style of his, too. Please LMH, cut your hair, even Justin Bieber already did.

Oh yeah. Now I remember Maymay, using that tie (was it a tie?) to take care of the female attacker instead of hitting her, ha ha! Such a gentleman, I hope (and I think) that he really is one in real life. He doesn't strike me as a snob. He's one of those actors who doesn't have any airs. In behind-the-scenes clips, whenever he has NG, he would always apologise profusely. He's a dear and he's a great actor (not to mention his great looks) so I just know that he's going to be big, well, bigger than he is today.

that people other than Koreans in the US
are watching "their" TV. There are a number
of Korean~Chinese~Japanese~Vietnamese
~Phillipino~Thai grocery stores near me,
and sometimes I feel as if I'M FAMOUS,
because people stare at me while I'm shopping
because I'm obviously not Korean. I'm a third-
generation Italian-American, native New Yorker,
(thank you very much) which of course means
that I've tried the cuisines of a lot of countries.
Anyway, Lee Min-ho, bad knee and all :) would
probably enjoy meeting all of us. He MIGHT die
though, from laughing his brains out. We are all
spectacularly funny. And very good-looking, too. :)
