I'm a melodrama fiend, and naturally I absolutely adore Yoon Suk-ho's work. (His style recalls the golden era of 90s J-dorama. Quiet, picaresque, full of that truly quiet suffering that tempers, yet sharpens Korean histrionics.) I've always dreamt of YSH pairing up with Lee Kyung Hee to make the ultimate tearjerker.

About 3 years ago, there was a rumoured melodrama that I think was associated with Yoon Suk-ho, which was to involve Jang Geun Suk, Moon Geun Young, Lee Yeon Hee, and Ki Bum (and I think Lee Seung Gi's name floated in there too.) Plus, this was going to be co-written by both Lee Kyung Hee (MiSa) and Oh Yun Soo (Autumn Tale), essentially making this the Hallyu superproject.

YSH's dramas have also been known as springboard projects for new actresses. Nearly all of them have become popular actresses or Hallyu superstars. Song Hye Kyo, Moon Geun Young, Han Chae Young, Son Yeh Jin, Han Ji Hye, Han Hyo Joo. However, what's interesting is that in majority of cases, the choice of lead actress came out of necessity. If Goong wasn't a smash hit, Joo Ji Hoon still does Spring Waltz and Sung Yu Ri still stays onto the project. That changes Han Hyo Joo's career. If Kim Hee Sun opted to stay onto Autumn Tale, Song Hye Kyo doesn't jump straight from teen actress to almost exclusively lead roles. If Song Hye Kyo opted to do Summer Scent (as was originally planned), Son Yeh Jin doesn't get Summer Scent, which was a huge hit in Japan.

The precedent suggests that YSH prefers casting actors who have worked before in YSH dramas or opposite the original lead. That immediately puts Moon Geun Young, Park Shin Hye, and Han Hyo Joo on that list. BUT, given the outcome of the casting, it also suggests that likely they'll end up casting a fresh-faced actress in the role. Given that there will be big-time foreign investment, my bet is they cast an idol. I wouldn't be surprised if we see Yoona in this production.

Now, what's my dream scenario? That they cast Jo In Sung and Jang Geun Suk, playing the same character in two different eras. :D

Oohh, ouch. I noticed that some of them really want Moon Geun Young and others who want Park Shin Hye, oh geez. I just wonder that if Park Shin Hye might be exhausted from working hard in that drama "Heartstrings".....ehm....I am not sure that if she want to join this new drama with JGS. O_o We will see what happens, ofc. Well, Moon Geun Young might want to complete her college studies till she will graduate someday and she will able to return to her drama anytime or whatever.

Ohh.....How about....hmm.....Yoona?! =) I think she look good but she still have VERY adorable smile. OR.....Bae Suzy from Dream High, mm? And, Jung So Min?? I think it's very interesting, yups. Well, I will be waiting to hear this new about leading female role!!! ^_^

Awesome Plot, great character of the drama, GREAT ACTOR (JANG GEUN SUK), and a great producer! Hopefully jang geun seok cut his hair on this one, he looks cuter/handsome with his hair cut. Also, i wonder who is the main girl in this one.

i used to really really really like JGS. then after You're Beautiful (which i enjoyed watching....great script and he was still hot then) and then moved on to conquering japanese (with the too-long hair), very camp-like apperances on the red carpet......to mary stayed out all night....i totally went off him. he is a good actor though...but seemingly has picked the same typical roles as of late (his earlier works when he wasnt so famous were all awesome)...including you're beautiful (but i allowed cos i liked the overall drama)..i'm hoping this drama really will help me revive the love for JGS. i'm excited....i would totally dig MGY being the female lead again....i HATED her in MSOAN. ew.

Honestly his hair style makes it or breaks it for me, couldn't stand his hair in MGM so I never watched it. Hopefully it's cut short. That aside I'm looking forward to this drama hopefully the female lead(s) are up to par.

hmm...hope they cut down on the melo stuff. The 4 seasons series did introduce a lot of people to Kdramas but I think something more unique and livelier like Best Love would be better =)

Finally, i'm going to see him again.After 1 year i couldn't watch msoan, the drama was typical, common and boring.
I wish he played a normal guy now, with a lot of hardships and suffering...i wanna see him cry and be mature ...I like melodramas...as long as you can buy them (the plot), This plot i don't get it yet ...Past and present?? 30 mns each?? ten episodes each?? I'm sorry but I just don't connect with JGS. I didn't hate him in YB, even though I had a serious case of second lead syndrome. But MSOAN killed it for me. I really disliked his character and the whole drama. However I'm keeping an open mind about him. Who knows, third time might be a charm.

Althougn I'm quite excited about his new projects, I don't want to anticipate that much and get less on what I've expected like in MSOAN. It was only saved by the Geun-Geun couple adorability.

I hope this new drama would bring out the best in him as an actor and it would do well in his homeland ^_~
