Chun Jung-myung confirmed for Man of Honor

First it was a rumor, and now it’s confirmed: Chun Jung-myung (The Duo, Cinderella’s Sister) has indeed been cast alongside Park Min-young (City Hunter, Sungkyunkwan Scandal) in the upcoming KBS drama Man of Honor, aka Round 2 for the PD and writer behind last year’s ratings titan Baker King Kim Tak-gu.
Also, it turns out that the title [영광의 재인] is a big ol’ pun on the main characters’ names: the words meaning “man” [재인] and “honor” [영광] are both also names, so you can read it Man of Honor, or you could read it Young-kwang’s Jae-in. Chun is Kim Young-kwang; Park is Yoon Jae-in. Get it? Get it??? I am simultaneously laughing and groaning — it’s so cheesy that it goes all the way ’round to being (sorta) funny.
It’s also a working title, so there’s always the chance it’ll change, although frankly I want them to keep it now. It’s SO corny. It’s like when girlfriday and I heard that Discovery of Affection (Ae-jung eui bal-gyeon, a pun on Ae-jung’s name) was being retitled the boring Best Love (Choi-go eui sarang), and were hoping that the hero’s name was Choi Go. Oh, puntastic Korea.
Chun will play baseball player Young-kwang, who used to be a hotshot hitter on a pro league team who’s now been downgraded to second string. He and a first-string player on his team are admitted to the hospital after sustaining injuries, where he meets nurse’s aide Jae-in.
Not much else is given about the plot other than that it follows the heroine as she overcomes hardships. It’s a fairly bland description, but if we look to the producers’ previous work, I’m pretty sure we can expect lots of dramatic twists and tense conflicts along the way. And maybe a birth secret or ten?
Man of Honor — or, um, Young-kwang’s Jae-in, HA — will take the Wednesday-Thursday timeslot after The Princess’s Man wraps, and premieres in October.

Is it just me or is this year a great drama year? Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself after City Hunter and the other good ones before it, but there really hasn't been an abysmal one yet that is, except for Lie to Me (way to break the awesomeness PDs).

I love me some chun jung myung but I find park min young pretty but very limited in her acting so I may try this for kicks but end up passing up on it if it goes too melo or park min young's acting bores me. I don't think I can handle any more melo chun jung myung after CS.

FYI,DF is a dirty word as we know the early subs are from viki because we see one line from viki then they take away the credits.
Their paid subbers are so much slower.

Definitely going to watch this even if the story was boring. (not that it would be a problem. cmon, takgu's writer and PD?! makjang can't go so bad can they?)
The couple seems interesting and both leads are sooooo pretty to look at. :D I'm happy.
Maybe this will finally be my crack after CH. I can't go on a withdrawal syndrome for too long.

Gossh,,, when i heard that park min young has already been casted for another drama, i was so excited...when i see the name of chun jung myung, i promptly search the name and hoalaa....he is the actor from Cinderella Sister,,,,maann,,, i liked him a lott,,,so fall in love with hiimm...im sure they'll make a great chemistry... n i hope they have a better ending than city hunter,,, i decided not to watch the last episode of city hunter since knowing that the ending scene was so ambigous. :(

After city hunter I can't see Park Min Young with any other guy than Lee Minho, don't know why! They are the perfect combination but I will give this drama a try but only for that guy....he seems to be my typ :P
I rather see a City Hunter season 2 than this but well I keep believing that I will see her and Lee Minho in City Hunter again*pray*. Why can't I get over that stupid ending? >.<

Same here! It seems like I just couldn't take the idea of her being paired with another actor. Don't get me wrong, I know it's inevitable and it's something that's beyond my control. Nonetheless, I just couldn't help it! That's just how I am whenever an onscreen couple catches my eye (e.g. the SoEul couple. It really bothers me when either of them is paired with a different actor/actress). I just hope that CJM will have a great chemistry with PMY.

heh..I have the same problem too. And I LOVED the SoEul couple too! Well, just to make the connection, Kim Bum is LMH's good friend, while Kim So Eun and Park Min Young are both the sweet, pretty, yet strong type. Love both couples so much! If there's a drama with both couples in it, I think I'll die of joy...LOL..

CHUN JUNG MYUNG and MOON GEUN YOUNG FOREVER!!!! i hope Park Min Young fans wont ship her to him!! hahaha i dont even like this and hoping he'll reject it since im not a PMY fan.. and even tweeted him that i dint like this idea!! haha.. but whats done is done!! i have to accept! i trust CJM!! :D he'll be HOT in this one for sure! but whats up with him! he still has a movie to shoot, and he's also busy looking for actors/actress-to-be since he has his own agency..

Ooooh, that's great ^____^ I really enjoy watching him in that drama "The Duo" (I'm still "non-complete" watching, yups.) I thought he was doing so wonderful job at his acting, of course.
Anyway, I assume that Chun Jung Myung & Park Min Young will have a great chemisty together in this new drama sooon & I will be rooting for them, woot-woot !!!
