Sorry, my last message was lost all of a sudden, so I'm writing this in several parts.

Going back to J-star's comment, Yoon Ji Hoon said it himself that forensic scientists will not commit suicide themselves because they know how precious life can be. In the earlier part of the drama, he told Kim Ah-Joong that he feels greatful for being alive everyday. How can someone like that commit suicide and leave the heroine (Kim Ah-Joong) in the drama with a dieing heartbreak?

To me, this seems like solid evidence that the final episode of the drama was written at last minute. The final episode was never able to match the earlier part of the drama. Traditionally, Korean dramas were filmed right before they were broadcasted on television, so they can catch the desire of the audience, but by reading many blogs, I don't think this ending is the ending desired by us.

I think the insane woman killed the pop singer because the pop singer wanted to break-up with her. She is the president's daughter, she can't stand anyone saying 'NO' to her. In addition, she is still love with the pop singer and could not accept the break-up. She could of threw away the blue cushion, but she didn't because she still loves him. By killing him, he could belong to her forever. That's the killer's warped mentality.

Here is my opinion:
1) the screenwriters want to make a statement to the characters who are afraids of power. By letting them see what are the implications by letting a psychopath free. It was painful to watch a cold blooded person murdering a colleague, than just knowing that person is a murderer (A Hugh difference because people can't relate well). Another point is he did it to make those who realized the important of justice and catch the murderers, regardless of they are powerful or not. Last point, that feeling of lossing someone has to be experienced in order for you to understand.
2) Psychopath will kill again. When that psychopath's dad becomes powerful it will be Impossible for law enforcement to do anything about it but letting them do whatever they want. That is why the main character chose this path because he has No time and No evidence (as his desperation knowing what this murderer will do when the Power is in the HAND and NO WAY to stop that murderer), and he has been blaming himself for his failure to catch that psychopath, leading more people die.

I know its been long but I just finished the show. What a gripping end.

Yes I agree he had no time n no evidence n hence the last resort, himself.. The scene where he asked that man (the last witness) about the security tape? That's when he decided he would hv to use himself. If he had chosen not to die, based on that crime alone she would be incriminated with just man slaughter , n not murders.. All evidence n witnesses all killed.

Sad, love this show so much...

I re-watch again this drama...
He really want to catch the murder but there are no evidence so he makes one...
it must be a shocking for NFS staff how could dr Yoon sacrifice himself for evidence, it proves the importance of the truth, so they realize to not make any falsified evidence again...
power and money its hard beat but that dont make it can not beat...

but still poor for Da Kyung and Ji Hoon have to separated
and makes me cry.....

i can not stand again if i have to watch park shin yang will die or separate with the heroin in his next drama.....

I just finished this drama and I'm currently still overwhelmed with sadness for the ending. Yeah I know, it's been years since the broadcast of this drama but because my local TV channel is currently airing it, I started watching this drama. I couldn't wait to watch it every night, so I marathoned through this drama. That's how much I enjoyed this drama and even though I wanted a happy ending, I was still satisfied with it.

It's possible that Ji Hoon's death is not nonsensical at all. There are many comments saying Ji Hoon is a genius and he could have used other ways to catch the female killer instead of sacrificing himself. I think he was ready to sacrifice himself but was still hoping that he wouldn't get killed. Geniuses are human and make mistakes too, which is why I think he hoped to have Da Kyung save him just in time, but he failed to factor in that Kang Seo Yeon might arrive at his house earlier than he expected. She did arrive earlier and so probably he saw no other way out and let himself get murdered. (His expression seemed grave when she arrived early.) I mean he told Da Kyung to come at a specific time and even sent her the passcode to his door. It could mean he wanted Da Kyung to catch the murderer in the act and that pin-hole camera was like a CCTV recording of what happened , so that it can be an undeniable evidence.

Ok, I've finished my rant and I shall go back to mourning.

Sign Kdrama is supremely aggravating!!! Killing off the heroin for a noble cause in modern drama is so rare, or (might be) never happened in other dramas...Daebak! To be honest, I am too super sad because their love story isn't complete. The pain that Da Kyun has to bear for the rest of her life for letting Ji Hoon go to another world AAARGGHHH!!💔 And watching the scene of Da Kyun when she walking at the park without Ji Hoon beside her...
This drama makes my tears explode.

I hope there will be season 2 for sign Kdrama in the future or sooner the better because I already miss Sign drama so much!!!

But as the biggest fan of Park Shin Yang, I cried because looking at him act dead makes me sad and I hope please don't kill the role of Park Shin Yang played in other dramas & movies in the future. but in a drama that’s all about finding out Truth and meeting Justice? Arrrrrrgh. Blood pressure alert!)
