I would be okay with whoever stepped into Sumire role as long as she has good acting chops to deliver the role. I think Lee Dae Hee might be the leading lady after watching the Youngstreet radio programme. Personally, I would love for Ha Ji Won or Soo Ae for Sumire...

Loved the manga, loved the J-drama, love JGS - I'm allowing myself to be cautiously very very very excited about this movie. =p

The only lead actress who comes to mind is MOON CHAE WON (Painter of the Wind and Shining Inheritance) who never exactly had a leading role but I would love to see her in a leading role and who better opposite than Jang Geun-seok?

I'm all for it! I loved her in Painter of the Wind and I liked her character in Shining Inheritance even though I didn't like Shining Inheritance due to it's lacklusting 2nd half.

I'm confused. People are saying they might cast Ha Ji Won or Su-Ae and I know those are the more older female actresses, even though they look much younger than their age.

I am not familiar with the Japanese adaptation but is the 'pet' technically older than her teacher? Just curious.

In the manga Momo was 18/19ish when he met Sumire, who was 27(?- I think, off the top of my head), and the plot covered about 3 years. So there was about a 10 year spread in age. This carried over into the J-drama, which didn't cover the same spread of time, but the age gap was still present.

So yes, the "Pet" role is definitely supposed to be younger than the caretaker. He's also a bit of a slacker (only on the surface, mind you), and she is an "Elite" businesswoman who takes him in.

JGS looks great in this hairstyle and I think he can pull off the Momo character, even surpassing Matsumoto Jun! Wished they would have filmed it as a drama rather than a movie! Can't wait to see the movie when it comes out (English-subbed, of course!).

He is perfect for the role... I was so worried when hearin that Kim Joon Hyung got the role. He is good guy but not so good as an actor. His face is still. But JGS is perfect. He got the look & acting skill. I hope SooAe can accept the leading role. :)

Wow what a news! Kimi wa petto is my fav j-drama ever! it was really cute and vivid for a j-drama. No offense, Japan, but j-dramas are usually a bit dry.
So I am looking forward to a korean version of it,though I 'd really wish it would be a drama, not a movie.
I am quite sure about JGS acting, it will be OK, the most important thing is to have an actress who could act along with him and create this great chemistry.It is always a woman's task- look how good were Kim Bum and Park Jin Hee together, absolutely because of PJH's great job.
I find LDH good for this role, both agewise ,temperament and looks. Not agree about Kim Sun ah- she is way too old and too big actress for that. Not her scale. Soo Ae could be good too, but she had already made a role like that, so it is maybe not interesting to her.

Yeeeessss !!! I can't imagine other than JGS for Momo. He is just perfect. Now I hope they pick a girl with a good chemistry with JGS. LDH and HJW are good choices to me, with stronger preferences for HJW.

disgusting , women ,we do have mother/ older sister instinct , it is really hard to pair,
