Gong Yoo makes his acting comeback!

Gong Yoo was just released from military service last December, and has been enjoying a short break while looking for the follow-up to his last acting role, which was in 2007’s smash drama Coffee Prince. Now he’s announced his casting for the film Finding Kim Jong-wook, which is based on a stage musical. His co-star is his friend Im Soo-jung, with whom you may recall he was once caught up in dating rumors.
In the movie, Im Soo-jung plays a woman named Seo Ji-woo who had met her first love on a trip to India. She embarks on a search to find him, the titular Kim Jong-wook, starting off a comic series of events. In the process of looking for her first love, she falls in love instead with the man helping her on the search (Gong Yoo).
As he left the public eye at the height of his fame, Gong Yoo has been flooded with offers for dramas and films — more than 30 in total — since his return to civilian life. The musical premiered in 2006 and was a popular production, running nearly 1,200 performances.

Everyone is squeeing over Gong Yoo but Im Soo Jung is my female crush so I'm squeeing over her.

Im Soo Jung is more delicate and otherwordly but I get what you mean. Gong Hyo Jin to me has always reminded me more of my other favorite actress Bae Do Na. Both have a quirky, down to earth vibe.

was waiting for some news bout Gong Yoo.. and i see it so late???
and the words gong yoo and India on the same page????? waaaaaaaaaaah
i had a heart attack as i read through..
i don't think the story is anything like jab we met or (leap year either)except for the fact that there is a common "undertaking a journey togthr".....
i used to always wonder how come there are so many Koreans in India but hardly any reference to India in the kdramas..(except for daler mehendi's "tunak tunak tun" in YAB :P.. )

... although it doesn't say that they search for him in India... does that mean they will shoot a wee bit in India?? squeeeeeeeee!
Oh! if they do... i sincerely pray that they don't concentrate on showing only elephants and poverty... (as if those are the ONLY things to be seen in India..).. but seeing this is a comedy... perhaps not....

I am pretty sure they will not be shooting in india. probablly on a set that looks like india... indian scenery is only nice in the historical places...i went there for a study abroad program and the food is super yummy.

I am so happy he's back!!! I have been dying for him to act in something new since Coffee Prince and finding out he hasnt has made me sad!
Hell i dont even really care bout the plot as much as i shud. Once Gong Yoo is in it, I'M WATCHING IT!!! lol

Never seen a drama in Japan but Korean drama makes me laugh and cry.Gong Yoo has a real life personality acting naturally and heartily! He is handsome,Eun is pretty ,but beauty is inside the heart. A good mate is a gift from above .Ask the Hearer of our prayers!Good Luck, take care!
