Birth of the Rich extended four episodes

After getting off to a rough start, romantic-comedy series Birth of the Rich has found its footing in the ratings and has had a stable, if not outstanding, run. Still, that’s good enough for KBS, and the drama has been granted four extra episodes, bringing the total to 20.

Birth of the Rich has claimed the top spot in the ratings, but Mondays and Tuesdays remain close between all the shows and none of the three is out far in front of the others. (Dong Yi and Jejoongwon are the other two. As an example, this week’s Monday episodes brought Birth of the Rich a 16.2%, Dong Yi a 15.3%, and Jejoongwon a 13.3%.) A source with drama explained, “There’s still a lot of story to be developed, so the extension shouldn’t be a problem.”

This means the last episode will air on May 4, and the drama to follow, My Country Calls, will push back its premiere two weeks to May 10.
