What’s Up adds rising star Im Joo-eun

Ooh, my interest level just went up one (possibly two) notches. Writer Song Ji-nah‘s (Story of a Man, Sandglass) new campus drama What’s Up, which just cast Big Bang’s Daesung, has added a notable new face to its cast in newcomer Im Joo-eun, who made a splash earlier this summer as the lead of horror series Hon.

Writer Song confirmed Im Joo-eun’s casting on December 8, explaining that they held auditions beginning in the fall. Word had begun to spread about Im Joo-eun as a strong actress, and Song said, “As she read, the directors and I exclaimed in awe, ‘Ohhhhh.’” In addition, Im is said to have a good singing voice, which works well with the drama’s backdrop at a university’s musical department.

Furthermore, rising talent Im Joo-hwan (who had his breakout last year in Tamra the Island) is now a frontrunner to lead the drama (though yet unconfirmed). What’s Up is looking more and more interesting…

If Im Joohwan is in this, I am IMMEDIATELY adding this to my MUST. WATCH. NOW. list. Seriously, I am still going through withdrawal over Tamra the Island - TEAM PARK KYU!!

Seriously, I can NOT wait to see him more. I hope he makes it big this time - although I think Tamra the Island added more popularity to him, he still hasn't really gotten his "big break." Though I think he truly deserves it.

Umm... I love Im Joo Hwan too and have been waiting and waiting for his next project but I don't think this is confirmed yet...so I don't want to get my hopes up in case of a big dissappointment... He is just a front runner meaning there are other actors in the running for the same role.

Yes!!! Im Joo Hwan should be in! He would add up to the many factors that make this drama a total must-see. I'll engage myself now in a telepathic conversation with the great writer Song Jina.. She and the director should really pick Im Joo Hwan.. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!! LOL.. So happy hearing this news..

I just started watching Hon/Possessed/Soul recently and its awesome. I love it. I was so suprised to find out that it was her first lead role. Im Joo Eun is an amazing actress. Looking forward to this. I couldn't manage to watch tamna island cuz seo woo was the lead actress and i still have hate towards her from cinderella sister, but happy to see this guy is in it. DaeSung is another pleasent surprize :3.
I'm proud to say i'm a chicken and have managed to watch Hon....and at midnight, with lights off.

Im joo Eun is just Amazing actress.I used to watch Wild romance just for her and Robot...I happened to watch her old drama what's up and i should just say Excellent Actress..Nd she is young as well..
