[ I remember I used to go crazy about him. My room was full of his pictures. Now the fever is down but I still like him best. ]

Because people mature and perspectives of life changes as they age. I read many comments in forums and or blogs in the English forum communities that speak HIGHLY of lead actors in mania dramas like BOF or You're Beautiful. I respect their opinions, and I had to chuckle, because they had no idea the comparisons they are making sometimes.

Actually, add even the "2nd generation" Hallyus, the Lee Dong-wook, Kong-yoo, Kang Ji-hwan, Ko-soos of the world, these actors won't even come close to topple the magnitude, as far as star power, with the likes of Bae Yong-jun, Song Seung-heon, Lee Byung-hun, Jang Dong-gun, Won Bins of the world. I saw these guys pack airports, stadiums and arenas by the thousands on various events.

And one of these stars shut down several blocks in the middle of Ginza market, Tokyo, all filled with fans just wanting to get a glimpse, sometimes it's ridiculous thinking back on it. Ginza is a section in Tokyo where shopping and entertainment chains are located. It's pratically the Central square New York of Japan.

seriously, JDG kinda scares me in the 2nd pic (on the left). people say his eyes are sexy, but they are like popping out, almost like a frog. i am sorry to burst people's bubbles. gosh, SSH looks like his 'Summer Scent' days... without the blonde-ish hair.

Don't worry, Agent Conon (#103), Micheru (#102) is always a JDG anti, i've sensed that in her previous posts too. I wonder why anyway, probably because her fave star's not as popular as JDG. Jealous? haha. Me and the majority of Koreans think he's really good looking...you have problem with that Micheru??

KSW mentioned that he wants to work with ko yeon-jung and sonyejin..sonyejin is actually the original female lead cast for IRIS but she turned it down..

SSS looks gorgeous and sexy on his outfit. Just the right attire while traveling. He's a hot rugged guy. That's one reason why he fits perfectly well on any action film. I can't wait to watch his new movie. More power to you!

I hope and pray that SSH will the get the sequel of IRIS. He has a good acting skill in both drama and action.

Choi Ji Woo’s fans are predominantly middle aged women/wives/married women. It’s interesting because women fans are generally go go ga ga over male actors not female actors. Choi Ji Woo was blessed to have play the starring role opposite Bae Yong Joon in the KBS super-hit drama "Winter Love Story". And actually someone stated that Park Yong Ha got his fame from having acting with Choi Ji Woo? Not exactly. Park Yong Ha was blessed to have been in the SAME drama with Bae Yong Joon and Choi Ji Woo and because of that all 3 rose in prominence in Japan, which the drama was hugely successful. Choi Ji Woo is less popular with female fans in other Asian countries, though. What makes CJW so endearing to female fans in particular is that her CHARACTER was so likeable and non-offending in the drama. Actually, I am probably the ONLY person who watched the drama that actually preferred the CJW-PYH pairing. I found Bae's character a bit too much for me to swallow, while I liked the varied emotions shown by PYH's character much more. But anyway...

I prefer younger Hallyu generation such as Lee Dong Wook, Rain, Kang Ji Wan, Hyun Bin not these old chaps. Sometimes I wonder what so special about them till can draw all the ahjummas out of their kitchen in Japan.

Hmm...I guess to each their own. I've never really liked YEH and her acting needs a little more work but she was pretty decent in "Goong". I'm not sure what you mean by "younger ones are more vibrant" but I find any actor who can act their socks off to be "more vibrant" than their age.

Clearly, you don't find this funny. And that's cool. Either you don't get the joke or find it inappropriate. But kindly let us who DO get the joke and find it appropriate to enjoy it.

And Javabeans, I too am a humongous fan of JDG. Not only is he drop-dead gorgeous, he's a great actor to boot. I can seriously hate (ok - well, not hate, exactly or seriously for that matter) his gf. (Um, Observer, that was a joke, ok?)

As for Won Bin, I've always felt that he is someone who is seriously bothered by all the attention from his incredible looks. It's like he feels that either he doesn't deserve it or that he wants to hide it for some reason. Perhaps he doesn't want it to detract from his acting abilities (which, let's face it, has grown much more than his "Autumn Love Story" days.) As for SSH, yes he was good in "East of Eden" but for me, the real acting credo goes to Park Hae Jin and to my delightful surprise, Yeon Jeong Hoon. They were fantastic.

I LOVE JANG DONG GUN. I saw an old video of him on youtube wherein he was singing the way to go to you. Damn!!! for crying out loud!!! he was beyond good looking. I then told myself how come I only came to know of him just recently thanks to A Gentleman's Dignity. He was great on that series.
