Intro to Dramabeans’ six-part year-end review

It’s that time of year again! Time for the year-end extravaganza summing up the highlights and lowlights in the world of Korean dramas over the past twelve months.

In previous years, I’ve asked guest bloggers to help me wrap up the year, and they’ve come through beautifully. This time we’ve got a particularly robust lineup of reviews in a six-part series: to be featured are the many witty observations and insights of Dahee Fanel, thunderbolt, Samsooki and hjkomo, as well as my own review, topped off with a collection of Editors’ Picks.

We didn’t always agree and not everyone saw the same shows, but I consider that a good thing. I hope you enjoy reading each review, which displays each writer’s thoughtful assessments of the year’s offerings, both good and bad.

In case you’ve missed out on the previous years’ wrap-ups, here they are:

My favorite things about the end of the year, besides the holidays of course, are the year end reviews and the award shows. I can't believe 2009 is wrapping up so quickly, but thank goodness 2009 was a better year in terms of dramas than 2008 was.

woo hoo, your year-end review is always the most anticipate post for me

That is a whole good reviewers line up you have there. I can't wait to read the 6-par-year-end roundup. Agree or disagree, I just hope people are just being civil with their comments

Sevenses was going to write one up, but she had unforeseen circumstances (i.e., real life) crop up and had to bow out this year.

Looking forward to all the reviews! That's great to have views and indepth analysis of different kdramas experts :) As I, myself, know nothing about writing or directing. Watching and liking a drama is just pure instinct for me.
