Sequel in the works for Go-sa: Bloody Midterms
by javabeans
Perhaps you’ll recall the Kim Bum high school horror movie Go-sa: Bloody Midterms [고사 : 피의 중간고사], which also starred Lee Beom-soo as a teacher and former Seeya member Nam Gyu-ri as a student and Kim Bum’s love interest. It had a pretty successful run last summer with sales of 1 million tickets, which is strong enough to now produce a sequel.
Production company Core Contents Media has announced that the story of Go-sa 2 will not directly continue from the original movie, but will still be set amid a academy background (which may make it more like the Memento Mori–Whispering Corridors horror series). They are currently in the scriptwriting stage, and the concrete details will be revealed in a press conference in January.
All I know is that based on the description, I’d doubt that Kim Bum would return in the sequel (and there’s also the fact that he was fresh off High Kick at that time, but has since become a major star). Perhaps it’ll turn out like the Memento Mori series of horror flicks (which raised the profiles of stars like Kim Min-sun, Gong Hyo-jin, Park Jin-hee, and Park Han-byul) and cast up-and-comers to be a launching pad for future stars.

If the storyline continues (which it seems like it won't..) Kim Bum can't really come back haha (sorry! not to give away any spoilers), but it sure would be nice!!!
The ending was SOOO unexpected too O_O;;
I saw this movie when I was in Korea 2 summers ago at the theaters and I was SO terrified throughout the thing i sat in my seat backwards and I'm pretty sure the people behind me thought I was insane because they kept staring/laughing at me.

I can NOT watch scary movies.. totally not my thing. Too bad at that time my friend had already seen Baby and Me so I was dragged into this. Kim Bum's face was a major plusplusPLUSSS though. kekeke

As a HUGE fan of horror movies, I was actually really disappointed with this one. It had a really cool premise, but then they had to go and ruin it with the ridiculous ending. Hopefully the sequel will be better...

ah yes I've heard about this. I highly doubt Kim Bum would be in it either... considering the storyline and he's too "big" for the role now. no offense to the movie or anything. the movie was actually not bad if watched during the day with other people in the room. just not good alone at night XD

The first one was... I thought it was gonna be a horror movie. I didn't get scared that much and I'm a scaredy cat.. so yeah.
I wish Kim Bum can be in the sequel! But like #2 & 4 said, doubt it.
Guess no Gosa #2 for me, unless it's gonna be really good.
