Yea, i'd have to agree that after her role in "My Girl," she hasn't been choosing good roles. And after quitting from East of Eden, i don't think many people really cared about her anymore. To be honest I don't see her acting career picking up anytime soon...LDH is so meh to me.

I really hope she picks this up. With such a good PD, and an opportunity to be in a sageuk, she can't possibly miss this. She definitely needs one hit project to come back...

It doesn't matter if ppl don't care about her anymore, what matters is what she brings to the screen/plate. She should know better now to choose what's best for her.

It's all about the taste. Da Hae has talent and she's a good actress. Anyone in life can have one or two incidents, EOE is just one of it. I hope that she will pick a project soon, frankly speaking I am not excited if DH and JH reunite again. I want to see fresh faces. A period drama is a good chance, I hope she will take the role.

Javabean, we as fan understand why some don't like her especially after EOE (we know where the groups coming from). Anyway forget about it, what we want is the real acting (no matter who the actress is), just seeing high rating and just mediocre talent won't last long. Good acting always give us good impression on Kdrama industries. Actually she is still popular, people who just aknowledge kdrama, talk a lot about her talent, almost everyday you can see a new blog created talking about her and MY GIRL. That's why recently crowned King of Mondo Pop Wilber Pan becoming her fan.

I was intrigued when I read in the Han Hyo Joo post comments section that LDH may be tapped to step into the role HHJ passed on in Chuno. Green Rose and My Girl showed multi-dimensional acting at the start of her career, and she seems to be in a limbo state right now after the EOE debacle - which was a lose/lose situation IMHO.

If she stayed, her role was nothing like they had advertised to viewers (and I'm sure to LDH to bring her on board), and involved no substantial screentime. And if she quit, she would have seemed unprofessional.

Perhaps in the industry, it would have been prudent to suck it up and pick the lessor evil, finish EOE to be professional, and let her fans clamor and criticize the PDs of EOE for what they did to her role (love triangle between SSH and YJH - give me a break).

Alas, I hope she has a comeback/breakout performance if she picks Chuno, and if not, then pick an interesting, challenging project. Sometimes she's so pretty she looks like a doll, so envious. ;-)

She must have been hurt and traumatized with what happened in the past.. thus being very extra careful in her next pick. She's a talented actress, and definitely quite a beauty.. The disappointments in her previous dramas were not because of her acting, just that it was really really bad luck.

The male costars are good and there are raves for the PD's previous saeguk. It sounds promising enough for her to accept as her comeback drama.

Just curious, anyone know how good the writer for Chuno is? I've never seen the KHN and KJH film he made, so I don't know much about his style.

lol. Lee da hae posts are scary because her antis are passionate and so are her fans. but I really love her and will always root for her. No matter what last year's controversy brought to her plate. give the girl another chance, will ya? Try watching her past dramas and you'll understand why she has not completely fallen off people's radars.

I so loved her in so many of her roles she's a versatile actress with a lot of charisma ... I liked her in everything, except for East of Eden but that's beside the point, I really pray she takes this.

She has worked with Lee Jong Hyuk before... in GREEN ROSE. :-) they were awesome together, they are also very close in real life.

I am hoping to see Lee Da Hae in another drama, I hope she chose a good one. I like her a lot so I tried watching all her dramas, but painfully some of them does not really hold my attention. But I have seen that she CAN act, so let us hope she gives us another WOW performance!

I just hope she does not stay too skinny like in EOE. It scary! Does not suit her at all!

To those who said "meh" about her. Every time da hae updates her blog on her mini page, koreans are still excited over it. Goes to show she's still popular. A couple of lows does not mean that her fans will be wash away with the flood. We like her for her talents and stuck to her because she has given us great works before. She's really talented and it's just the way of life that goes up and down. In the end, talents will prevail the longest. She may not the prettiest but her talents will carry her a long way through this career.

I agree that Oh Ji Ho IS chiselled, but that's not (the only reason) why I enjoyed watching him in Single Papa in Love and Fantasy Couple. In both of these dramas I just adored the "normal" , regular guy character he played with warmth and sweetness. I know he is not known as a great actor, but he still brought me to tears when shaving his young son's hair to prepare him for head surgery in Single Papa.

I thought he was OK in Super Rookie, and only saw a little bit of Get Karl! and Queen of Housewives. Hope he does a good job in his next project!

I don't see anything wrong w/ LDH being the lead actress for Chuno. I think she's a strong actress. Although she's overacting sometimes but still so talented. If she gains some more weight, that will be perfect. (or she needs to look skinny and unhealthy since she will play a slave role?)

just fyi... before you accuse her of letting it go after MY GIRL. After that project she had her heart set on "Speed" a Turkish-Korean venture that did not work out. She was supposed to be casted with LSJ and KMM THE KMM. so it's not like she refused opportunity or she was a lazy actress who let her fame from MY GIRL go away. She waited a YEAR for that project but the budget was too big for KBS.

she did WIN an award for that one (undeserving, i think) and held on as one of KBS biggest pilots... but it was crap (even her fans see that), her acting was overly out there, she got a bad rep for her role as a rehash for My Girl.

She decided to change her image and choose a single mom role.

Robbers was done by a successful director and a critically acclaimed writer. It looked good on paper. She was being paired with Jang Hyuk who just got out of "Thank You" which was a success. Tell me, who would not take the chance?

But it was against New Heart and Hong Gil Dong... it had no chance. Robbers was a rehash of old school Korean melodrama (think watered down MISA) that just did not click with the audience anymore, despite that... she did get good reviews for her performance. Just that people thought it was a very paper thin role. Well, I do agree. Her role was promising the first few episodes but by the latter episodes, it lacked complexity.

But before all this she was still CF queen, she was still getting good reviews, she was still one hot shot.

Her lowest point was East of Eden... a role that she took just right after she got done with a drama. Instead of taking a rest she took on the role because the writer wanted her.

she started out good, and then you can tell her performance was faltering, she tried too hard, she looked sickly, gaunt, and it was clear she never understood her character. The audience also never did.

When she quit, she went in hiding because of the backlash.

so accusing lee da hae as not grabbing opportunity... is a bit wrong. I think her setback is she tried to grab it too much, too soon. She tried a successful formula in each one... trying to either relive MY GIRL magic or just rely on a big budgeted drama or change her image too much.

Park Shi Yeon is a different story, she came from playing villains. The comparison with Lee Da Hae would work better if you compared it back in early 2000s when all Lee Da Hae played was a villain, then she got so much attention and awards for her daily drama.

her fans aren't blind. we know her flaws. she is very flawed has a tendency to overact and can be very conscious... but you cannot deny her versatility and dramatic weight compared to other actresses her age.

It's funny, the moment someone giving Lee Da-hee ANY criticisms, he/she is automatically labeled with Antis, Lee Yeon-hee or Song Seung-hun fans.

# 38 it's just the makeup man. She's older now she's skinner than before so her face has slimmed down. Not as chubby as we had seen on "my girl". Just a trend that we all go through.

She is one talented actress. Just amazed on how good her english is. I mean, its rare for even most of artist who have been live overseas to speak fluent english. To live only 5 years for her to speaking like that is amazed in very much.

Her english in East of Eden is very impressive. Didn't hear any accent and very fluently.

Hope the best for her in Chuno, if she ever pick this role.

"My Girl" with co star Lee Dong Wook!!! Lolz, I love both of them!!!!!!!!!!! I think it was very cute and funnnyy! I love watching them (LDH & LDW) working together in a same drama! I missed them for a long time!
