i don't know if this drama will be my cut of tea, but i do hope they portray the "behind the scene of making an idol group" more realistic and not just some fantasy world that everyone can attain. i wouldn't mind seeing some actually idol groups in this drama..like say 2PM especially Nickhun =)

hopefully the likes of Cho Si Won (super Junior) gets casted, since thers's not enough of him in dramas
can't get enough of 18 vs 29 flashbacks, while legend of hyang dan was only 2 episodes but he was so memorable in those

I would really like to see 2pm Nickhun in it. Well, I don't know if he can act or not, but a cute and pretty face would really be easy on my eyes.

hopefully it wont star any idols cause 90% of the time they just simply suck at acting! AKA Kim Hyun Joong / Hee Chul / Sung Yuri and so on...

whoever in interested in idols just cause they're eyecandy can put a pic above they're TV/PC...
not that eyecandy is bad but at least have the talent to back it up - otherwise just stay with modeling, look pretty and shut up!

I can see Dara in this, since she did have some acting experience when she was in the Philiphines. I heard she was in Return of Iljimae. How big was her part in that drama? anyone know?

i'd totally go for a drama like this.. but i wonder whether i'd like it more WITH or WITHOUT actual "idol stars."

Hopefully they'll do better with this script as I have not been very impressed with their latest 2, FC and HGD. I'm curious as to how the sisters will write off the story as it has to be realistic right? To portray the reality of how idol-stars work off-screen and on-screen? The Hong sisters have more so dealt with more slapstick comedy-ish scripts in the past.. let's see how they'll do with this one..

This could be interesting. If anyone else was penning the script I would be incredibly uninterested but hey, it's the Hong sisters! I've enjoyed everything they've written so far. I could watch DGCH and My Girl over and over again.

As for the casting of actual idol stars, I'm not sure how I feel about that. I guess as long as the acting doesn't make me barf, I'm okay.

Unless it's like Super Junior's movie Attack on the Pin-up Boys where the movie is suppose to be taken lightly, acting isn't suppose to be taken seriously, a complete idol boyband movie, other than that, I dont really care for teen idols in dramas -_-

Unless they actual do well at acting, many of the times it's just "ok".

I remember when news of BOF came out, fans wanted members from their boy-groups to be the F4 - which made me irk. Especially when all members act together. (I liked Hyun Joong in BOF, but that was mainly because I realized I couldn't take BOF as a serious drama or anything. Just watched it for fun, so it's completely different.)

Idols that can't act are fit for those Banjun Dramas or those shows hosted by mnet -_-

Variety shows aren't 100% scripted. Scripted in that they know what event will come next, or the games they might play, etc. But their actions are not completely scripted. And it's shows "having a script" have always been around. From Love-letter, to the old x-men, and even beyond.

but like some other comments above, i really do hope they show the actual life of idol star-wannabe, the constant practice (day and night), how they have to eat ramen every night coz they don't have enough money, the pain and tears.... (why am i like this?? sorry everyone :P)
well if they aim this to be comedy idol drama, the acting shouldn't be as strict as in the serious dramas, but at least they should have a decent acting skills (not saying great here, decent should do).

I think every career path that starts at the bottom has the same workaholic beginnings - 24/7 training for little or no pay, ramen every night without even eggs or spam if their benefactors don't supply the dough, the pain, the humiliations, the pipedream hopes for the future, the tears and emotional trauma from degradations and / or dashed dreams...

The only difference is the setting (be it an idol-wannabe, a singer-songwriter, a visual artist, a golfer, a lawyer, fashion designer, chef, writer, reporter, whatever...) and the specifics of the story.

I would rather not see any current idols take part in the casting, so as to not give bias to the story.

wow. if they are really gonna cast REAL idols...as if these idol groups are not overworked already...but at least it's at the end of the year where all your "again and again", "fire" promotions and super show concerts are all finished. so...

but yes, i agree with someone who commented here. it won't be and cannot be something taken seriously...like BOF. Let's see who's the director. If it's your BOF PD....I see a trainwreck ensuing. let it be a better PD at least.

@22; the last drama that combained the Hong sisters and BOF's PD wasn't that bad. What was it called? oh yeah... My Girl.

I really hope that they don't cast ALL idols!!! They should cast somebody like Go Ara or Jang Geun Suk. Somebody young who can act. PLEASE!
