Han Hye-jin goes underwater in style

Pretty! (Although I think I’d like the shot better if her head were fully submerged, as in the photos below.)

Check out actress Han Hye-jin in an underwater spread for fashion mag In Style, which was shot at a hotel pool in Jeju Island. The shoot kept the actress underwater for more than six hours, and will be featured in the June issue.

Han’s last project was the SBS drama Terroir; she recently announced her next film, the crime thriller No Forgiveness, in which she’ll star opposite Sol Kyung-gu and Ryu Seung-beom.

I'm not really liking the last dress, but I agree that these are pretty.

Wow, 6 hours. What I wanna know is, how wrinkly was she when she got out? XD

I saw a photoshoot like this done in America's Top Model before and all I can say is that she could have done better. Looks really awkward and it really seems like she had a hard time with the photoshoot.

It reminds me of this one photoshoot they did in ANTM where they had to fall "gracefully" into the water. Although I do like the concept, I don't think it is done particularly well. The photoshop looks bad, the angles and poses are awkward. it just feels as though if they had waited a couple of seconds later, it might of been a better photo.

The colours are amazing. They really pop.

Unfortunately, she could have used a few tips from Jay Manuel from ANTM.

I think the third pose is her best shot of the lot.

I love the first picture! It's hard to do this kind of picture (having to shoot couple times before) and to make the model to stay gracefully in the water it takes a lot of effort. So I really appreciate the photographer who can take this nicely.

I like the concept. The dresses are nice. The poses are awkward. And a bit more below water would have been nice too.

Yeah, I saw this sort of concept done on America's Next Top Model awhile back and if I was to compare this to what the models on ANTM, I'd say this is really bad. Her body looks all awkward and the camera angle is pretty bad. Other than that, I love the water and the color of the dress together. It looks so tropical and to me that's a good thing! I love colors! LOL Her face looks really pretty in the first photo!

I want to like the shoot; it's beautiful. It rubs me the wrong way that it seems ripped directly off the Drew Barrymore spread in Elle.

I mean, I guess shooting underwater isn't a totally unique idea, but the Elle shoot was what came to mind when I saw this. Eh.

And if we were looking at both shoots disregarding originality, I'd say this shoot is sub-par to the Elle one. It's no offense to the actress or Style, but Drew Barrymore has this Lady of Shalott / pre-raphaelite look that really sold the underwater look. Done otherwise seems weaksauce in comparison.

I like the idea of underwater photographs but the poses are awkward. I like the 1st picture although having her head completely submerged would have looked prettier. The 2nd and 3rd pictures are awkward and do not display her beauty to the fullest. It seems that underwater photograhs and underwater scenes are "in" right now.

Wov, I like the first picture most. She's so pretty and look like a Mermaid.

I think, it's difficult to stay underwater such a long time with smiling face.

Have to agree about the poses. It seems as if Han Hye-jin was captured in the buoyant moments of effort, before being fully submerged and more relaxed. As said previously a few seconds later may have been the moment.
Would like to see if any of the shoot was of HHJ on the rise from the bottom of the pool, to just breaking the surface with her arm.

Love the colours of the first two pictures, more aqua dwelling maiden than the third.
