Will Boys Before Flowers be extended?

Maybe, maybe not.

KBS is in talks with production company Group Eight to extend the massively popular Boys Before Flowers by two installments, bringing the episode count to 26. I’m sure we could see this coming — KBS hasn’t seen a Monday-Tuesday hit in ages and is eager to hang onto this one.

But some industry insiders think this is unlikely. Kdramas regularly extend their runs, but in this case, the (rather strict) contract with Hana Yori Dango creator Kamio Yoko was for 24 episodes. Contracts will have to be renegotiated with Kamio as well as cast and crew, so they are being careful not to jump the gun.

I don’t mind an extension, actually, since it’s not last-minute and gives the writer — admittedly, meh — time to plan. I wish KBS would give the crew a week’s break to catch up with production, though, before everyone collapses from exhaustion.

My wife and I watch the show each Monday and Tuesday in Idaho USA. We really like the show. I agree with the others that the actors and actress really need to be given a break before any extension of the show. They have done a wonderful job on the show and deserve some rest.

i REALLY REALLY REALLY want to have an extension on BBF..as long as Jan Di and Jun pYo will still be a couple :)..i wanted to hear Jan Di's answer to Jun Pyo's wedding proposal in the last episode since the F3 but in saying "i object!"..lolz..hoping they will(if ever there's gonna be an extension) feature JAN DI AND JUN PYO'S WEDDING..ALSO I WANTED TO SEE JI HOO sunbae HAPPY WITH SOMEONE ELSE..since he sacrificed a lot...but i also think they deserve a week-long vacation for a job well done..after having enough rest..they should proceed in filming the extension..and hopefully for a SEASON 2 of BBF..since taiwanese and japanese have a part 2...LOVE YOU LEE MIN HO sunbae AND GOO HYE SUN noona.MORE POWER!!!!...

I thought that there were a couple of loopholes in this BOF. I was hoping to see something along the line of Jun Pyo's dad waking up, while his mum still continues to interfere but his dad liking Jan Di and helping her. I mean what's the point in getting Jan Di to take care of Jun Pyo's dad when there isn't any account for the aftermath of it?

A part 2 would be great only if it is not draggy, with all the twist and turn. I think we wouldn't even need a part 2. A simple one-episode extension with a wedding for Jan Di and Jun Pyo, and a happy ending for the other F3 would be just nice.

Just look at the 31 episodes Meteor Garden 2, it was terrible! The plot spoilt DMS's character, making him love another woman when he lost his memory. It was a pain trying to watch it. I wouldn't want to go through that again!

HEEEEEEEEY!!
I am so addicted to Boys Over Flowers!! Ive just finished the whole 25-episode series! I actually can't get anything going on on my mind except for BOF, BOF, BOF!!
I can't think of anything except of BOF BOF BOF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, im curious. are they working on a season 2 or something? because it's been a really great show and I did cry alot. I mean, alot. really. It was very romantic. And Jan Di and Jun Pyo always make me want to have a love story just like their's.

Anyone care to answer my question? Because i can't get my mind out of it!

Alright, like a late late comment.
This is my first time posting on javabeans, so yeah-
I wouldnt mine like 10 more episodes for Boys over Flowers.
It would be great to see how Jun Pyo and Jan Di work out, after the proposal. Oh, didnt 'OH MIN JI' said that she would come back or something?
