Ha Jung-woo for Basso Wicus
by javabeans
Ha Jung-woo (The Chaser) ups the sophistication factor in his new shoot for the latest ad campaign for clothing brand Basso Wicus.
He shot the ads earlier this month; a rep of the clothing company said they’d chosen Ha to represent them because when conducting surveys for Basso Wicus among their target market, “Ha Jung-woo was the actor that young twenty- and thirty-something men most preferred.”
Ha Jung-woo most recently acted (without pay) in the film You Don’t Even Know [잘 알지도 못하면서], which releases in April and co-stars Kim Tae-woo, Eom Ji-won, Go Hyun-jung, and Jung Yumi. That will be followed by the May premiere of the Korean-Japanese joint production Boat, which co-stars Japanese actor Tsumabuki Satoshi.
The new Basso Wicus ads start running in March.

He's handsome, especially in acting, maybe the best Korean actor right now.

I heart him. Even though he played a psychotic serial killer in The Chaser (one of the best movies, ever...period) I still thought he was unbelievably charming and adorable.

Very suave and sophisticated indeed.
Sadly, I've never seen him act. But since I generally don't watch Korean movies, H.I.T. will hopefully be good enough.

He probably is not the most handsome Korean actor, but he definitely has charisma.
I like him on HIT, and look forward to see the Chaser.
The clothes look great on him!

Oh, so he's the new representative of Basso. A new actor makes sense, since Eric's in the military... The pictures were almost the same as Eric's picture for Basso before. xD

"Ha Jung-woo was the actor that young twenty- and thirty-something men most preferred.”
Yup. He's got the Joker/Tyler Durden cred down cold. :D
@fizzle,
"Sadly, I’ve never seen him act. But since I generally don’t watch Korean movies, H.I.T. will hopefully be good enough."
Actually you might have seen his dad in a few shows -- he's always playing evil dudes. :D In fact, I thought I saw him in Gardena or Orange a few years ago, and I was really tempted to go up to him and say hello.
Before Chaser, he was very well regarded as a left-field character actor in film (a little bit like Val Kilmer.) I remember watching the promotion interviews before Chaser came out and thinking "huh, that's an interesting idea for an action movie. It looks like they had a blast making it."
"That will be followed by the May premiere of the Korean-Japanese joint production Boat, which co-stars Japanese actor Tsumabuki Satoshi."
Satoshi's one of the very best 20-something idol-actors around. And he's gorgeous, like a Japanese Won Bin. Having said that, shouldn't he be busy filming Tenchijin?!?

i first noticed him in "firebird" as a bodyguard; his lines and appearances were obviously very few and overshadowed by the main leads. but at that time i thought, this guy is not bad at all, he should get a lead role soon.
anyway, i think he's a very talented actor. i enjoyed his performances. and what i like also is the fact that he's not the pretty-boy type. lol.

He's definitely not a pretty boy type but he's extremely telented. I started noticed him in HIT and the The Chaser were he pull of the character really good.
