Lee Byung-heon is Storm Shadow
by javabeans
Lee Byung-heon is only one of a fairly large cast for the upcoming G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, but he gets his own rather spiffy-looking promo poster.
He plays the character of Storm Shadow in his upcoming role. Technically Lee is making a dual Hollywood debut, although I’m not sure which of his two films will release first, the other being I Come With The Rain co-starring Josh Hartnett and Takuya Kimura, helmed by the Vietnamese-French director Anh Hung Tran.
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra is set for a U.S. premiere date of August 7; check out the posters featuring the other characters under the cut.
The movie cast features actors Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Christopher Eccleston, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Sienna Miller, Rachel Nichols, Ray Park, Said Taghmaoui, Channing Tatum, Marlon Wayans and Dennis Quaid.
Playing the role of Duke is Channing Tatum:
Ripcord (Marlon Wayans):
The Baroness (Sienna Miller):
Scarlett (Rachel Nichols):
and Snake Eyes (Ray Park):

what's with these posters ? they are awful... we cannot see any faces of the actors..... i know we are in an era that beautiful bodies are hype, but where's the point here, since all bodies are digitalized ?
that said, i cant wait to see lee byung heon in this movie to see how much he will hit the world ^^ (though i am not so much fan of this kind of movie... )

1: if you're referring to Snake Eyes/Ray Park as one of the Asians with their face covered, he is actually not Asian despite the surname. Ray Park is Scottish and you may have seen him play Toad in X-Men.

I love your blog!
"I Come With the Rain" is supposed to be a summer movie, just like "G.I. Joe." I believe they're still working on their VFX and editing and won't nail down a release date until they're nearly done in post.
"Iris" actually seems like it's going to be good, seeing as how they're sinking a lot of money into it (if I believe what I hear). A good spy show would be fun this year!

ok, who else noticed that Channing Tatum (sp?) plays a character named "Duke" in this film, just like in She's the Man? Not that I'm obsessed with that movie or anything. Oh, no.

I don't mind if they didn't want to show the face. But when you show a half face like that, the poster looks weird....as if it's a wrong sized pixel resolution.

are all the posters supposed to look like that? (i haven't watched any hollywood movies for a really long time) they cut half of your face just to show the body so people don't know who is who?

Being only marginally too old to know who's who in GI Joe, I'm just wondering if Storm Shadow is a 'good guy' or a 'bad guy'...anyone? Beuller? Bueller?

Wow the cast are nothing to be scoff about. Kudos to LBH. He is the reason why i got hooked to Korean dramas, with his All In and Beautiful Life. I'm glad for him.
Man!! Tatum Channing wow!
Ray Park is great in action too. I'm glad he's finally being noticed. Too bad that he's either masked (GI Joe), full of make-up (Star Wars, X-men) or headless (Sleepy Hallow) in his movies =). He's good looking enough.
I don't care of LBH will portray good or bad character, whatever it is, he will surely play it greatly =).

You can tell who's a good guy and who's a bad guy by looking at the symbol in the bottom left corner of the poster: shield=good, cobra=bad.
