Anyone who knew LSJ's family background knew that Lee Hyori was playtime - no way would his family approve/accept her as his wife. And frankly, neither would he in the end. Although KJE is another matter altogether, she unfortunately is also in show business and for some reason, I can't see him marrying an actress - unless she retires.

Evidently, no matter who initiated the break-up, the guy is supposed to remain quiet (seen as more gentlemanly) while the girl is generally free to talk about it. I think that's why he hasn't released a statement and really, what can he say? The more I thought about it, the less sure I was that I wanted to marry her? In Korea??? Yeah, right.

Personally, although I liked Lovers in Paris, for the most part, I don't care for her much. I'm sure that she's a good person but something about her bubbly persona makes me think that there's a lot of neuroses underneath. is there anything bad about plastic surgery??? because even if a person undergone a surgery whether just to make their image better or for some medical reason... as far as i can see theres nothing wrong if she had surgery just to change something within her as long as it has good results as we can see really great results...

its already the 21st century... its not like she had committed a mortal sin because she had change what God has given her... come to think of it why would HE let man disccover science and other things that has something to do with it...

lsj's not a player, he seems more like a wimpy momma's boy. if his mother was the main reason behind his decision, he needs to man up and (ahem) grow some. he's in his mid-30s. he went public with his relationship. he broadcasted his "undying love" for kje alll over the place. the least he can do is break up with kje IN PERSON! he needs to show at least some responsibility over his actions. what a slap in the face for kje- it's like the time when berger broke up with carrie over the post-it on SATC...but i digress...

kje can do so much better. she's a well-respected actress and she's loved by many people.

this makes me wonder though...LSJ could already sense that his mother doesn't favor KJE, why did he not help KJE for his mother to approve of her. he should be protecting KJE in the first place. he knows his mother well. and if unnnecessary spending of money makes his mom angry, he should have not let KJE shop, or if ever KJE wanted to shop he should have not offered paying for them. he is not compelled to pay. KJE has her earnings too, bet she brought her credit cards with her. he filmed "Lee San" for 9 months and he was receiving $25,000 per episode that is $50,000 per week...where did all his earnings go that he had to use his mother's credit card? he was trying to be gentleman infront of his lady love, yet when that causes trouble to his mom, he could not even fight for her. unless he deliberately did that so conflicts would start and he could leave her for him to have a valid reason why he is leaving her. well just a thought as i hypothesized earlier that his relationship seems to have expiration date...no more than 2 years or not even 2 years.

Where are people getting the impression that LSJ's mother was the problem? As someone already pointed out, his mother and KJE's aunt are great friends so if family is somehow involved, then it must be something pretty serious. However, I totally agree that he sucked by breaking up over the phone and not in person. That's just not done, especially when this relationship was expected to end in marriage. Not a smart move as a person and for PR reasons. Should be interesting to see the next relationship for each of them.

according to someone close to LSJ it was not the many gifts LSJ bought for KJE while they were in NY that made him initiate the break up. it was something between the two families having known really well that conflicts arouse between them.

oh well! LSJ must face the media once he come back to Korea after his 1.5 months of seclusion in HK. he has to clean this mess he created. KJE is being pestered by the press and the media are not going to stop until they have answer to this shocking break up.

that someone also stated that LSJ left for HK early Nov after breaking up with KJE to clear his mind. that we must help the ex-couple to have a continued good relationship(maybe as friends).
