Mighty Mouth, featuring Yoon Eun Hye
by javabeans
As previously mentioned, actress and former pop singer Yoon Eun Hye has recently collaborated with new hip-hop/pop group Mighty Mouth on a track that’s just been released on their first single album.
The song has been released in time for White Day, that Sadie Hawkins equivalent of Valentine’s Day (falling a month later) created ’cause the candy industry needed some way of getting rid of its Valentine’s remainder chocolate supply.
Given Yoon Eun Hye’s high profile and the fact that she hasn’t done any recording or performing in years (Baby VOX broke up sometime in 2005, soon after which Yoon’s acting career took off with Goong), the song’s gotten a lot of attention in the press and by fans. Take a listen below. Catchy song, decent (though not spectacular) vocals.

Hmm...I guess in Baby VOX she always sounded better backed up by all the other girls. The song isn't bad though, but yeah, that voice would never fly solo.

Well, maybe I'm just biased, but I think YEH just wants to help Mighty Mouth with her popularity, because she never considered herself as a singer. And I think she never will.
She wrote that on her CY:
"There was an article today...
Hmm ..people who like it gave me the opportunity so i could (do something) with my lack of skills...
The song came out nice... it's a relief..
It was a disaster at first..
I don't know if the article was saying because I want to pointlessly become a singer..
Do you know how many talented singers there are these days?~ T_T;;
I can't even sing, let alone be a singer.. lol
Stuff about come-back or whatever.. ahh just thinking about that makes me stress so much!! puehehe~
Still, this kind of opportunity is rare.
This is a worry (or, what a dilemma)..
.....................hehe oh well~~^^
I'm going to work up some courage to try recording again~ although i don't know if it will become a title.. -.-;;
The song came out really well, so... looking foward to it
I think I'm doing a lot of things with my time while I'm resting ^^
The good thing is that when you listen to the song.. it might not be the best..
but I don't think you'll ever forget EunHye~ lol
or not...
Anyway, I will return to an actress who is one step more mature really soon..~!
Anyway - I hope the Mountain Mouth (i think she means Mighty Mouth?) (singers) oppas do well! Fighting!!!
Fighting for EunHye too, and Fighting to all of you, too!
Hope everybody is happy in 2008~"

I've never heard her sing before - and it's funny but that is NOT the singing voice I expected to come out of her petite frame and mouth -
but she's in TUNE - and that by itself already puts her ahead of 90 percent of the rest of the world! You can always give SNAPS to people who are at least in tune.
I like it - and i was prepared NOT to like it.
If we were on American Bandstand - i'd give it 4 out of 5 stars.
The guy that starts the song by speaking - his english is actually quite good for that phrase - good articulation and intonation of english.

I've never heard her sing before either, but I think she has a pretty good voice. Like somebody mentioned before, I didn't expect her voice to be as "thick" and rich as it is, but I like it anyway. I really like the song too.

i never expected her voice to sound like that. it was decent, but sounds pretty generic. i'm glad she wants to stick to acting. i really didn't like the song; i thought it sounded like so many songs before it.

Surprise, surprise...I actually like her voice and I really like the song.
It's quite refreshing to hear her sing cause her voice has a very sweet quality to it. Very simple not over the top and I really dig that!
Her voice is pretty decent and to be honest, I've heard worse voices out there in the korean music scene, I can name a few who shouldn't even be out there singing.
I think her voice is much better than those sexified yet glorified singers in Korea (dressed in schoolgirl outfits encouraging those pedophiles fantasies) but the public worships them.

every time i look at that picture of the group, the guy on the left reminds me of ERIC, especially Eric in Que Sera Sera...the first time i saw it i was a little confused "what is eric doing there???" lol...
anyways, her singing is ok....it's nothing spectacular and i don't see her as a solo artist, but i think she did ok with this song...good thing she doesn't plan on making a comeback as a singer..she should just stick to acting because she is definitely better at that lol...i'm sure the point of having her in the song was to give the group more exposure...and it worked because otherwise we would not be here listening to their song XD

I agree with what every single person says so far. The vocals that YEH has aren't great. I mean, it's slightly monotonous, and the notes don't fluctuate much, though I'm not sure if that's because that's the music writer's fault or if they're just going for what they know she's capable of singing.
But her voice is really simple and sweet. ^^ Very poppish. Not amazing Celine Dion or Beyonce, obviously, but sufficient and cute. Having a really nice beat also helps.
But I'm glad she's doing drama. XD Especially because she's better at it.

I agree with ginnie and yeli - that guy really does resemble Eric in his Que Sera Sera role. The song was ok - I'd never heard her sing before so I was pleasantly surprised, but I wouldnt rave about it.

it's true, very catchy song. The words "saranghe" still rings in my ears. Hehe. Like how many "saranghe" songs are out there? I know the one Gong Yoo sang in CP. That one sounds good too. Hmmm...maybe they should do a duet next? Something like "chong mal, saranghe" Can't wait for that one. lol.

She sounds ok. I could do without the actual "group" she's singing with, though. Is that hip-hop stuff still here after 30 years? Talk about beating a long dead horse.

^It's called modesty.
At least she doesn't have an inflated ego like some people.

yea the guy on the left looks like eric only darker & skinnier :) i actually like this song too.. it's just fun & cute.. YEH sounds a'ight here.. her voice is suited to pop.. i thought she sounded less than par in some of her other recordings.. but maybe it's cuz i was miffed after getting stood up by baby v.o.x. once at a concert.. i'm diggin' this new group.. i love their cheeky name & they sound pretty fly..
