Hmm... I feel like Lee Seon Kyun & Lee Soo Kyung will make a very nice couple. Seeing their two faces side by side seems very harmonious already. They even have the same initials! XD

Although I'm way past ready to see the beautiful Eugene return to the KDrama fold (where we may partake of her for an extended time period) I'm very pleased to see this talented group sharing the spotlight on the big screen. Nice cast. I really like the way Lee Min Ki choose his projects. It's a mix bag of mainstream and offbeat characters. I'm glad that he's back tackling another romantic lead. But i'm curious if we'll ever see him in a "weighty serious" dramatic role in the future.
I totally adore Lee Soo Kyung in Soulmate. Didn't recognize her at first in that short hairdo.

a long wait for the premiere though...May 2008 (but a nice B-day gift for me)! I wonder when the movie 그, 사랑을 만나다 is supposed to be out/done; the main stars are Han Ji Hye and Lee Cheon Hee, but Min Ki has a small role, as someone who is really smart (he wears glasses for this role)?

For those in the Philippines, you guys might want to call up/visit your Tourism Board/Office...they might know more about the exact locations of the shoots, I think they were partially responsible for agreeing to which locations they wanted to be representative of the Philippines?

Maybe one thing that contributed to this was that Eugene was hired by the Philippine Dept. of Tourism to promote the Philippines as a vacation spot to Koreans. I don't know if the contract's still in effect though.

My female officemates here will probably take their leaves of absence and follow them around. Hmmmm, maybe I should also go see them when they're in Manila! :D

Got excited when I read this. I hope they will have a good impression of the Philippines. It's very rare that Korean actors and actresses come here so I do hope that this will be the start of a bigger korean wave here in our country.

it's true that Palawan is better than Boracay but then it still is beautiful and it will help Boracay regain it's popularity since tourism there declines a little due to some issues.

Wow i hope it will be during the time that i will go to Boracay in January. If not i will postpone my visit. Will check this frequently. I love the cast, specially Min Ki. Love him, can't wait for the movie to be shown. Hopefully, it will be shown in the big screen here in the Philippines too.

Reply to Ruth - Boracay is still good. I don't know when u last visited the area, but the place is booming because of the Koreans and the Japanese. But because of this, it is becoming way too commercialized. In fact, condos and resorts are being developed left and right. I would think the actors will stay in Discovery Shores in Boracay, the latest and the best resort where only the A-list people go. Because of it becoming commercialized, Yes, Palawan is better, where Amanpulo (voted as one of the best resort in the World), is. However, Batanes is way up the BEST of them all. It is where u will find the most hospitable people in the world and u get to eat lobster practically everyday. In fact, Ken Chu of F4 just recently finished a doing a movie their with our own Iza Calzado. He love it so much that he wants to buy properties there. But too bad, he needs to be at least 60% Filipino or married to a Filipina.

Reply to Hanneebuff - i think lots of Korean actors visits and had visited the Philippines. In fact, i've seen several MTVs already shot here, like in Boracay and Cebu. Some visited even before they become actors. I think Lee Da Hee is one. Hahaha, i think we are being invaded by the Koreans. They love studying here, i think every schools has Koreans. I meet them everywhere, malls, beaches, churches, supermarkets, movie houses, etc.

Hi Beng! Yup, I agree with you. So many Koreans are coming in the Philippines because it is cheaper to come here than in other countries to study English.
In the 2 past years, I observed that more and more actors are coming here although not as frequent with Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia. Mostly they come here to shoot their series and movies but not to promote them. I do hope that they will realize that the Philippines is a big market for Korean dramas and movies so that they will come here frequently.

hi sarah, i'm a regular reader of your blog and i enjoy it immensely. I just want to share with you and your readers our 'not-so-pleasant' experience with kim eugene.

before i go on with my story, let me just say that we're no anti-fans, in fact i find the girl pretty and charming and deserving of the fame she's enjoying right now. i just want to tell the story,the way it happened.

we waited at the hotel where lee min ki and the rest of the group were billeted,in the hope of catching even a glimpse of min-ki as he shoots his newest film here in manila. so when their group finally arrived, my friends and i hurriedly made our way to the entrance and saw three girls coming through the glass door. i said to my friend "it's eugene". perhaps she heard it and even saw that i was holding a digicam. guess what, the girl tried to hide from her companion's back and in attempt to conceal her identity, she pulled her hood (she was wearing a hooded sweater) down her face almost reaching her chin. we were like, "wat's up w/ that?" i don't know what's her deal but if she didn't want to be recognized or something's wrong with her face that she doesn't want people to see it, she could have proceeded straight to her hotel room. but waht do you know, she lingered in the hotel lobby with her right hand holding on to her hood, which as i've said was pulled down, covering almost her entire face. she really looked stupid. she shouldn't have bothered putting up an act like that 'coz no one was looking at her. there were only few hotel guests in the lobby and i strongly believe that only a few of the hotel staff know her. well, only my friends and i know her but we were not there for her, we were busy ogling at minki who at that time was hangin out with his male companions outside the hotel lobby. she then went to min-ki's group and had a chit chat but still with the hood covering her face. oh my. what was she thinking? will somebody please knock some sense onto this girl's head? she is admittedly the bigger star compared to min ki but covering up your face with a hood is really unnecessary.she had no fan hounding her at that time, not even a fan who was looking at her. we were disappointed in her, to say the least. it was downright tasteless.
