Upcoming melodrama When My Love Blooms has released a new teaser featuring Lee Bo-young (Whisper) and Yoo Ji-tae (Different Dreams, Mad Dog) as a fated couple. Additionally, stills of Jeon So-ni (Boyfriend) showing her innocent, lovely charms have been released.

When My Love Blooms is the final love letter between Lee Bo-young and Yoo Ji-tae. They were each other’s first loves and they find each other again in their forties, long after the era of their young love has passed. GOT7’s Jinyoung (That Psychometric Guy) plays Yoo Ji-tae’s younger counterpart, and Jeon So-ni plays Lee Bo-young’s.

In her timeline, Jeon So-ni will play a music major who specializes in the piano. Though she may seem frail, she’s bright and energetic. Also, even though she looks like she grew up in a well-off family without any troubles, she holds deep emotional scars inside.

The teaser begins on a dark, snowy night, and Lee Bo-young narrates, “There are some people you are fated meet again no matter what happens…” Yoo Ji-tae stands facing her, and stares at her with a teary grin. In voiceover, he says: “The moment life becomes a flower, When My Love Blooms.”

Saturday-Sunday tvN drama When My Love Blooms, written by Jeon Hee-young and directed by Sohn Jung-hyun, will begin airing in April.

I am not a big fan of these "fated to meet again" tropes, but will nibble at the first couple episodes to see how it goes.

Hmm... why is this labelled a melodrama then?
Is it the tone or the plot?

In any case, I like the main cast. It's been a while since i've seen either of them in dramas, and I'm glad to see Jeon Seo-ni in this. I enjoyed her performance in Boyfriend
One more show to add to my overflowing list this year!
