Ooh! For a moment I got super excited thinking we could drop in our imaginary beanies in the poll too! Haha

But yayyy! It's time for the year end reviews! I love them and will be my first time where I have watched perhaps 50% + of the shows so i can actually nod my head along!

Hands down my favorite drama of this year is The best hit. The show made me laugh and cry at the same time. Overall this year was average compare to last year.

These are sooo kawaiii!! ❤️ My beans would go to Because this Life is Our First(for portraying the dilemmas of my life with nuance, love and laughter), Goblin (for Gong Yoo, Sad Love and Epic Bromance) Forest of Secrets (for being so riveting), Chicago typewriter (all the feels) and Strong Woman (cutest couple ever). Cannot wait for the Year End reviews. HWAITING! 💪

Not just kdrama - unless there is a major upset this month, Forest of Secrets is my show of the year, pipping The Young Pope. Up till then I thought my kdrama of the year would be Radiant Office - more than just a standard office set-up with a lot of thought about women in the Korean workplace too.

I just realized that I watched more shows this year than last year. I think I only watched 1 or 2 in 2016. For 2017, I'm quite proud to finish 9. Of the 9, my favorites are Forest of Secrets, Because This Life is Our First, and Live Up to Your Name.

Please, someone enlighten me. I've seen this bean count before (every year actually) but never participated so I'm not sure what to do exactly...

I watched BTLIOF late and it's worth binge watching in one day. It's not perfect but pokes you where it hurts and where it matters

Yes! Because this Life is our first was such a brilliant drama. Everyone needs to watch it. I made me believe in good dramas again.

Forest of Secrets and Because This Life is Our First are not underrated, so there's no need for me to give them beans. Everyone loves them two.

Wow! I'm (pleasantly) surprised that BTLIOF beat Goblin! Also I forgot about Seven Day Queen when considering potential DB Staff favorites this year. That's another one that needs to go on my to-watch list, I suppose.

I have only finished 4 2017 dramas 😅 That's kind of sad! Although I did complete several older ones as well.

Beans didn´t grow well this year, so I am giving out other vegetables to dramas I liked.
1. Father is Strange - a few bunches of parsley. there is a lot of this stuff, but it is all tasty.
2. The Best Hit - a head of iceberg lettuce. It seemed big and fluffy, but in the end a light mel.
3. Circle - a bag of yellow and purple radishes. Because I didnt know before things like this existed and was very surprised.
4. School 2017 - a cucumber and a pumpkin, because they were cute as cucumber and pretty as pumpkin.
5. While you were sleeping - I just feel like I need to give some freebie squach, turnip and beetroot and some kale to Hong Joo´s mom cause she has to feed all those people.
6. Duel - * wakes Sung Hoon from the dead with the smell of Peipsi onions.* trust me on this.
7. Lookout - ponders if he should do the same with Do-Han.
8. Buamdong Revenge Club - I feel like they can use some garlic to put into their antagonists´ socks.

My earnestly gathered 18 beans go to BTLIOF (10) and Solomon's Perjury (8).
It's weird how I know I finished 18 dramas but for most of them I just have this vague recollection of the main plot line (if it had any). But I remember very well how each drama I watched made me feel. For example when I think of Hwarang I can't really remember anything besides Taehyung's character dying and Go Ara crying, but the moment I read "Hwarang" my heart made this squinty eyes expression so I'm sure I didn't like it much. When I think of BTLIOF though, it's all butterflies.

hello everyone, been away and missed dramabeans...hope everyone is good? guess this will give me a clue on what to start watching....

I noticed that I did not see HeadsNo2 in the roster. Oh well, still looking forward to the review of the other DB writers!

Wow! I expected the top 5 faves of DB staff except for BTLIOF because I checked out of kdramaland in recent months so I was not updated. Slump is real. Anyway, it seems I need to binge-watch this one.

As for my own beans, I only watched a few in their entirety (4 sad beans in total lol). I did watch a bit of some dramas like WYWS and Circle but I have not finished them yet.

The only memorable so far is the bromance of Kim Shin and Grim so I give 3 beans for Goblin. That fashion show rescue scene will never get old. Hehe!

The last bean I give to The King Loves. It was not perfect, but I enjoyed it for the most part and found an appreciation for Yoona and Jonghyun AND love for Korean history era aside from Joseon. We need more of those older eras.

I'm petty and I'm happy that BTLIOF beat Goblin. XD

I watched 17 complete dramas this year. Wow. Fairly sure that's my highest count ever. I was surprised Suspicious Partner ranked so low😦. It was one of my crack drama of the year. BTIMFL and AOY2 topped my list. Followed closely by pornstarche fluffy oppa Dr Heo, even more fluffier Ji Chang Wook, epic centuries old bromance Goblin (was not really enjoying the love line), time travelling cop Tunnel, riveting Forest of Secrets, Grumpy Pants Mystery Queen, and The Best Hit. 2017 has been a good ride. 💐💐

i have watched many dramas this year. But first half champion was hands down The Liar and his lover and second half of the year was Go back couple. The best drama of year 2017 for me. Rest i dont even remember half of them.

So happy it is the beginning of the end-of-the-year Dramabeans madness! I had 17 shows this year, but shouldn't we have extra beans when we sticked with very frustrating dramas? (I'm looking at you, temperature of love!!). Here is my unfair and biased dispatch:

Strong Woman Do Bong Soon: 7 beans : you were flawed, but you made me laugh out-loud and squee equally, and also my friend, and now my mom. I hadn't laughed that hard since You're beautiful!

Forest of Secrets : 6 beans : the suspense! the chase! the friendship! that smile! I might have given you 10 if we had had more of our two main characters together (Season 2 in 2018 please pretty please?)

The King Loves: 4 beans : I didn't care much for the politicking, but the friendship was lovely and the love triangle really electrifying!
