I literally said "Nooooooooo~!!" seeing Krystal's name and pic on the side of DB. Oh man, I like Krystal as a person and a singer, but I can't w/ Actor Krystal. I mean, this is the Answer Me PD we're talking about here, so maybe, just maybe, we'll see a new and improved side to Krystal that I've never seen before. Idk. Fingers crossed and in PD Shin, we trust. But um, I definitely wouldn't mind if this casting don't work out, either. Just sayin'. I'm trying to stay positive, y'all. I really am.

i don't really mind Krystal, and haven't watched Bride yet. Anyway I also read somewhere that Seungyoon is also cast in this drama? Or was it another drama? I think it was stated that it's Shin PD's new drama, and he was considered because of his Busan accent?
I'm still going to watch this for JKH though, and am waiting for the bromance too.

Maybe she has like 5-10 lines in each episode if it is a small role, things could work out that way. I have a feeling she'll be a prison doctor. Let's not forget the PD made Hyeri and Go-Ara look like they were made to act which is not true at all as evident by their later projects.

But I have to agree. I happened to watch her scenes. She has that bitchy appearance & pretty but once she opened her mouth.... I laughed. Suddenly remind me of She's So Loveable. Can't believe there will be the day I'll say this - Suzy is probably slightly better than her ?

I don't know what PD Shin saw in her but I hope her scenes will be just a little since this is male centric drama and we have many male leads.

I really love Krystal, and perks of watching a drama with subs is you don't feel a thing about the awkwardness in speech delivery lol, so that helps.Strangely I love both NJH and Krystal's acting on BOTWG, the only one whom I have a hard time to resonate with is SSK, who while trying to be comedic, comes off as very forced and pretentious, at times I felt she's just acting, which can't get worse than that. I think Krystal in good hands just cause it is shin pd-nim, so excited to watch her being badass in this prison drama. I'm hoping that would be it, maybe?
And I really loved her on heirs @javabeans, that's like the only drama where she nailed being sweet and cute, going all crazy after the boyfriend. So you don't like her there either? :( Hmm.

Maybe it's become an ego thing for him to cast an idol/actress with a history of let's say questionable acting skills and coach a good performance out of her to the surprise and admiration of everyone. I don't see why he couldn't go with a proven actress for the role and why he absolutely must get someone subpar like Krystal. Considering his history, we can expect him to work his magic once again somehow, but it does feel more and more like a gimmick to me.

Answer me PD has magic in turning female idol/actress to be good in their drama. So I hope Krystal will do well.

It works for Lee Hyeri and Go Ara, so expect the miracle also happens with Krystal though I wish they could cast someone else with better acting. Minah Girl's day perhaps if you insist to get an idol for this role.

Oh no.. I haven't watch Bride episode 3&4, so I couldn't tell any opinion about Krystal as Moora. I actually enjoyed the first two episodes of BOTWG enough to feel the need to watch next episodes. So I was hoping that she won't ruin my interest for the show

I don't usually like to criticize actor's performances too much (partly because I'm not a very good judge of acting ability) but I'll make a special exception for her.

I'm not planning to watch, so the good news is that what I don't see won't hurt me.

I don't think she's that bad lol. Definitely prefer her to some actresses that constantly get lead roles.

Aaaaargh so conflicted. This is the first project JKH has picked in a long time that has any potential, but it could turn south really easily. It's not just Krystal, either. The PD has it in him to do good work, but he's grown more complacent and self-indulgent with each Answer Me. I just hope doing something new will help.
