Jeon Ji-hyun becomes human in Legend of the Blue Sea

At this point it’s like a clown car joke, this constant influx of Legend of the Blue Sea promos that appears to have no end. They’re all very attractive promos, of course, but at this point I just want the show to start already. Mostly because I’ve run out of ways to describe the show (last mermaid mixes it up with humanfolk!) and things to say about it (Jeon Ji-hyun is very pretty, Lee Min-ho is very pretty, I’m eager to watch the show, yada yada yada).

Annnd that’s all I’ve got, since you have eyes and can see that Jeon Ji-hyun is dressed here as a human, not mermaid, and seems to be passing for a human just fine. Legend of the Blue Sea will (finally) premiere next Wednesday on SBS.

Every time I see someone using the acronym for this drama, it cracks me up. LOtBS or LOBS. Reminds me of those lobsters which also happen to be creatures living under the blue sea.

Once I was telling my colleague about DOTS, then she said "huh? what dots............???"....hahaha...she didn't know about the acronym.....I shouldn't laugh at her though, cos sometimes I also don't know what show online viewers are talking about when they type the show title in acronyms :P

On a side note, the plot summary from AsianWiki got me laughing. Looks like they're waiting to see the show already too :

Okay, I guess this is the only drama, that got from dramabeans extensive coverage over any little stills/cuts/image releases. Yay. How about you guys wait at least 3 days and write about them in once... and then call others dramas "annoyingly overhyped".

This isn't dramabeans giving LOtBS extensive coverage. It's how SBS is releasing their promotion material, teasers, posters, pictures etc one after another in bits. Dramabeans is just informing us about everything they are releasing.

@wapz, this year several dramas had extensive promotion with a lot of stills and images being released, surprise, but they didn't constantly update about them.
p.s and all stills for this drama basically look the same. I have no idea why it's so important to write about all of them. But I guess they just that much excited to see it lol

Agree. I mean not every teaser, still cuts, need to be reported by every site or blog hahaha if the owner of the blog feels 'tired' they dont need to write. There's a lot of news sites out there who will write about this drama. I just feel pity to blog like db, koala etc... Writing every stuff like 'forced' to write it when no one force them to write about this drama hahaha Just be happy guys and do what makes you happy xD

Everytime reading article about this drama (which as you said, jb, very extensive list of articles!), i can't stop thinking about a question come up in discussion with a friend.

So if you can choose, if you are female, would you like your mermaid boyfriend to be mermaid up or mermaid down? Likewise for male, would you like your nermaid gf to be mermaid up or down?

How i wish this drama starts already so that i can stop thinking about this silly question and move on to the actual story lol ?

I am in the process of introducing a good friend to K-dramas for the very first time and so far she's hooked as we watch episode 4 of City Hunter together. That's the safest one I could think of to start her off and I've got my fingers crossed this works!! Now, if we can only get a GOOD drama with LOTSaBS and Lee Min Ho for his first drama in years, I might have converted an all-American female airline pilot to loving all things Korean. I've already gotten her addicted to Park Hyo Shin's new album.
