Trickster of the month Lee Min-ho

SBS’s upcoming fantasy-romance drama Legend of the Blue Sea is taking an interesting approach to a first promotional character cut, by putting its star, Lee Min-ho, on the cover of a fake magazine (“Trickster monthly”) which depicts him as his drama character, Mensa member and legit genius turned scam artist, Heo Joon-jae. There really is a magazine for everything!
He (as character Heo Joon-jae) is the magazine’s cover story for its November issue, and the (faux) article points out that he doesn’t just con people indiscriminately—he doesn’t take from people who don’t have anything—recognizing his sense of morals (ish?). Are you making him some kind of Robin Hood, or is he only kind of a criminal for scamming people who presumably deserve it?
For a meta touch, the cover also makes mention of Hot Drama Legend of the Blue Sea, starring Jeon Ji-hyun and Lee Min-ho, because even in fake dramaland, the promotional machine churns on.
Legend of the Blue Sea pairs Lee Min-ho’s master con artist with Jeon Ji-hyun’s last-mermaid-on-earth character in a romance that spans multiple eras (and species), and will air on Wednesdays and Thursdays following Jealousy Incarnate. It premieres on November 16.

They successfully fooled me! I went to google to search about what kind of magazine and why Lee Min Ho being a cover model, but i realized that its his drama still cut lol Its so interesting. What a unique way to release the still cut. I think im going to fall in love with Junjae. Im weak of genius and sexy guy *-*

I can already imagine the hilarity of that very thought. Then again, it would be nice to see if Min Ho can put some algebraic expressions to his acting chops. Intresting. Very interesting.

Liar game Ha woo jin vs LMH's character? lee sang yoon vs lee min ho? i doubt LMH can make me move on from a long time crush on lee sang yoon post liar game. ha woo jin is so amazing character and it's likely that lee sang yoon is made for that character. that is basically he himself is probably genius, fyi graduated from Seoul Univ in Physics

That means you have been missing all the undercurrent excitement that THE Lee Min Ho is back in dramaland and he is back with THE Jun Ji Hyun? Lol, so lucky! Thank goodness the channel isnt churning out teasers and stuff at an epic proportion, or coupled with the how people around me are already behaving, I would have been tired of the drama before it even began.

Not really for LMH but the storyplot is not bad. Scammer again. Seems like now it is the trend in both kdramaland and in reality! Reminds of my fav charismatic com artist Yang Jung Do in Squad 38 !! I want a sequel 2 of Squad 38 with the same lead cast !!

This was a really clever way to present his character. Up until now, they are doing a great job with the promotion, getting us all excited for the drama, even people who werent interested at first.
Lee Min Ho looks awesome-love his hair!- I see some haters are already trying to dismiss him, but there is no point reasoning with them. Time puts everything in place.
In my opinion, Lee Min Ho is not just a pretty- really pretty- face. In City Hunter, he was an action hero, a playboy & also a smart hacker, and he did a good job at it. Im sure he will nail the genius con as well.
I cant wait to see Legend of the Blue Sea!

No offence to anyone but even though his face is somewhat hidden by his hands gesture, it looks really photoshopped. His face is not that thin. Can be due to the camera angle too.

I think it's camera angle and hair. I doubt there was much photoshopping, though there would be some. It's about how he looked at the table read. His face is pretty slender at the moment.

wow, this one does really great with promo materials..i'm really crossing my fingers that i'll love the drama as much as it's teaser and all the things released, because while I love JJH and her character in YFAS, I didn't fall for the drama itself as much as I thought I would, the whole spanning through eras thing just doesn't click with me, but here's hoping to some awesome characters and chemistry doing wonders...
