Lee Sang-yoon offered profiler lead in Hello Monster

Ha Woo-jin—I mean, Lee Sang-yoon may be stepping into the lead’s shoes for Hello Monster, the KBS drama that previously extended an offer to Lee Jin-wook (who turned it down) and is also considering (but hasn’t confirmed) Jang Nara, Lee Chun-hee, Choi Won-young, Park Bo-gum, and Exo’s D.O. That’s a lotta people to be on the fence about, but it could just be that they’re slow to make official announcements.
This is the drama whose description never fails to confound me, though it’s odd enough to make me want to tune in just to see what they mean (so score one for them?): A criminal profiler and the woman who is stalking him, who happens to be a cop, work together to solve crimes. They’ll be on the same detective team (alongside a number of the other co-stars) and bicker as they fall in love… I’m just not really sure where the stalking thing comes in. But the drama’s being touted as a thriller with rom-com elements… or maybe it’s a rom-com with thriller elements… so I expect some lightheartedness amidst the serious crime cases.
The role Lee Sang-yoon is considering is the police profiler with keen insight into criminal psychology, which doesn’t sound that far off from the genius psychoanalyst skills he showcased in Liar Game. But really, anything that reminds me of him in Liar Game is a plus, and Lee Sang-yoon should basically always do dramas where he broods, never smiles, and is so freakishly smart as to be blazingly hot. Really, he should just do sequels to Liar Game forevermore.
Hello Monster will be a Monday-Tuesday drama on KBS, following Who Are You – School 2015, which follows the currently airing Blood.

I haven’t watched Liar Game but he was really good in My Daughter, Seo Young with Lee Bo Young.

WHAT?! You really should watch Liar Game. The three leads all turn in excellent performances, and so do the supporting cast members. Unless you are a big fan of the Japanese series, which is quite different, you should really check it out.

Aside from bit parts, only seen LSY in LG and he did a pretty good job there.
I would take more issue with the handsome part (decent enough looking, but wouldn't get noticed in a crowd of above-avg. Joes).

Mixed feelings because yes to Sangyoon taking up more brooding roles but no to an indefinite 'no Liar Game Season 2' because I need it. ;; Please, drama gods, just let him lock in or pass to make Liar Game 2 instead!

Is it a sad thing that I only saw him in Life is Beautiful? Liar Game has been on my to-watch list since forever but where to find time? :'(
Anyway, I like him enough to give this a try and that possible cast, even though it's not confirmed yet, is not bad at all so there's that too.

Please fight me for Shin Sungrok and yes, I want Liar Game II but since Kim Soeun is considering Scholar Who Walks in the Night and now Lee Sangyoon's offered this, I think we can only wait :c I've also gotten reliable news that Sungrok's possibly returning to his theatre roots in the summer, so we won't be seeing him in dramaland for a bit (I guess) ;;

He's so used getting the sweet and kind character, that's why Ha Woojin really surprised me..
But he's still hot playing that kind of roles so i really hope he take this..
Thriller will always be my cup of tea, plus with rom-com(?), if the ratio is right, then it's going to be one amazing drama..

I liked his style the best during Angel Eyes. He looked so perfect and ideal and wow. I still remember his scenes... he's so dreamy looking. I hope he sports the same hairstyle because that makes him look uber sexy.
