Lee Chun-hee in consideration for romance thriller Hello Monster

It’s interesting that the drama that got pushed till June is the one casting faster than some of the spring dramas. KBS’s new summer romance thriller Hello Monster is still courting leads Lee Jin-wook (Three Musketeers) and Jang Nara (Mr. Back) to headline, and now Lee Chun-hee (Dating Agency Cyrano) is in the mix to join them.

The new Monday-Tuesday drama comes from the writer of Protect the Boss and the PD of God of the Office, and is about a team of cops on a special criminal investigations team who fight like they’re constantly at war while solving cases together, which of course in TV land leads to love. Lee Jin-wook has been cast as an expert profiler, a transplant from New York who’s mysterious and likes to keep to himself.

Jang Nara is considering a role as the woman who stalks him; she’s also a cop on the special investigations team, and I’m still dying to know how the stalking figures into everything. Lee Chun-hee has been offered a role as another cop — he’s the leader of the special investigations team and also the son of the superintendent general of the police force. His character took the civil service examination and worked abroad as well, but gets the special assignment to lead this new team.

He’s described as having grown up in the best of circumstances; he’s a rule-follower and a bit of a narcissist, but despite his perfect record and background, he’s also got a naive, dopey side. Aw, dopey Chunderella is my favorite. Lee Chun-hee can actually do goofy doofus or chilling mystery man with equal conviction, so he seems like a great person to cast in a thriller (and keep one hairy eyeball on, just in case he’s harboring secrets).

The cast for this drama is shaping up nicely; I can’t wait to find out more about how they’ll integrate the romance and the thrills, and whether we’re looking at a thriller with love interests or a workplace romance that happens to be set in a police precinct.

Hello Monster is slated to follow School 2015 (which comes after Blood) in June.

Why is a guy wearing jacket and pants w a peony pattern???
I really like the suit, not so much on him, but for me. Don't know if it means that his taste is too feminine, or if mine leans towards masculine clothing, or if the suit is unisex.
For a star, a good stylist must be worth his/her weight in gold.

Exactly.... I am dying to know who are gonna have the responsibility to bring the magic back :) it's muy favourite drama and I find quite impossible to surpass that the awesome acting in school 2013 !!!

Aw, if my memories serve me right, I think we're gonna see some cracktastic interactions between LJW and LCH. The harmless rivalry between two male leads in the writer's previous works were very entertaining to watch. I wonder what kind of relationship these two would have in this drama.

YASSS! I MISSED HIM! Granted, I was hoping he'd be back as a lead, but I'll take it. I don't suppose he could be secretly dopey but NOT secretly in love with the heroine? Can he have his own love line so my erm his feelings don't get hurt? With this production team, I'm afraid it'll probably be more of a workplace romance set in a precinct. *prepares self for negligence and incompetence*

I am so glad to see him back to dramaland after long time.
He has been busy with movie, variety show and designer work. I thought I would have to wait much longer.
A little bit disappointed that he is a second lead again here.
Still hoping that the script will be great and it is going to be a meaty role for him. Not a simple sweet perfect second lead.
Something unexpected dark side would be awesome!
He could totally pull it off well.
