Everyone’s got a secret to hide in Discovery of Romance

I do enjoy a rom-com with active, interesting posters (so many fall back on the old standbys and end up looking interchangeable with all the other rom-coms in dramaland), and KBS’s Discovery of Romance certainly has those.
In the main posters, we get a continuation of the whole bickering-love-triangle motif that’s been driving much of the promos. The first poster skews a bit caveman-ish with the “Steal or Be Stolen From” tagline since it essentially places Jung Yumi in the role of an object to be taken by either of her neanderthals beaux, Eric (the ex) or Sung Joon (the current boyfriend). But she gets a more active role in the second poster, where she swears, “Why did you treat me like that then?! You bastard!”
It’s the character posters that display a witty touch, with the line at top reading “What I Want To Hide From My Boy/Girlfriend” and each of the cast members positioned to try to block their secret from our prying eyes. Going down the line, they read:
- (Jung Yumi) What I Want To Hide From My Boyfriend: Past boyfriend
- (Eric) What I Want To Hide From My Girlfriend: Past girlfriend
- (Sung Joon) What I Want To Hide From My Girlfriend: A dongsaeng I know
- (Kim Seul-gi) What I Want To Hide From My Boyfriend: Truth of my plastic surgery
- (Yoon Jin-yi) What I Want To Hide From My Boyfriend: My bare face
- (Yoon Hyun-min) What I Want To Hide From My Girlfriend: Bank account balance
Let the hiding/fighting/lying/flirting/bickering/reuniting/romancing being! Discovery of Romance premieres on August 18.

Why Eric keep getting the role as bad guy? He seems really sweet and gentle in real life.
Anyway, waiting for this drama. Hope it will turn as good as those teasers and posters.

When someone on twitter mentioned that the posters are hiding something, I thought Yoon Hyun Min's was "poop".
Because I read the "dong" part and thought that was how poop is spelled in hangul. ^___^

My eyes are playing tricks on me.
From the last picture, I thought that the bottom right pic was Lee Yi Kyung (the jerk pop idol from Trot) rather than Yoon Hyun Min.
And from the second picture from the top, I thought the guy getting beat up by Yumi was Son Ho Joon (also from Trot) rather than Eric Mun.
(Also, Eric Mun looks like he found the Fountain of Youth - has not aged a day since Super Rookie).

I have to confess that everything about this drama is screaming I NEED ROMANCE 4!
Not just because Jung Yumi was in "I Need Romance 2" and Sung Joon was in "I Need Romance 3"... but also the bright colors, lively posters and the whole Ex-Boyfriend vs. New Boyfriend plot.
I do hope this drama will be good. So far the only thing I'm not digging is Eric's haircut.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH....dead. I'm literally not worth much more than that when it comes to this drama. I start making weird squealy noises every time I read about it. How could one drama have so many people I love?
Although while I'm here, I must admit that I still haven't finished Que Sera Sera because it was too intense. I can't bear to go back and have my heart ripped out.

Hahahahaha.. I was wondering who is the 4th person in the main poster (Eric was holding MAN hand with strip shirt.. While Sung Joon was in pink coat + gray T-shirt, while Jung Yumi was wearing u-can-see)

Well these posters are great! And the tagline is very familiar; don't we all have things we'd rather hide...
I wish for them all to get as much screen time as possible but I'd really dig it if Jung Yumi ends up(it's usually a bad idea to get back to your ex bf...) with Sung Joon. Kinda similar to I Need Romance 1&2. Though I really hated it that the girl in INR1 stayed with her ***** of a bf....
