Yeon Woo-jin and Jung Yumi lead cast for 3-D horror movie
by girlfriday
I’m pretty sure horror is scary enough without the third dimension getting involved, but nevertheless, people continue to search for new ways to scare more pants off of people. New horror movie Tunnel 3-D comes from the producers behind The Webtoon: Foretold Murder (which I’m still too much of a wimp to watch), and has signed Yeon Woo-jin (When a Man Loves) and Jung Yumi (Wonderful Mama) to star.
They’ll lead an ensemble cast of twentysomething actors, including Song Jae-rim (Age of Feeling) and Jung Shi-yeon (My Darling). Answer Me 1994’s Do-hee is also being courted, though she’s still just considering while the others have confirmed. It’s nice to see the entire cast of 1994 so quickly flooded with offers for new projects.
The horror movie will a classic creepy hotel setup, about a group of young people who go on vacation to a brand new luxury resort that was built on top of an abandoned mine. And nobody told them this was a bad idea? All we know for now is that a “mysterious event” occurs. Way to be specific. I’d at least like to know if this is a human murderer kind of scary, or an underground cavern full of the ghosts of dead miners kind of scary. Great, now I can’t decide which is worse.
Tunnel 3-D starts shooting next month for a release this summer.
Song Jae-rim, Do-hee

I used to work for a coal mine, and there was an accident and some of the bodies could not be found, and after few years people said they still can hear people crying and shouting for help in the middle of the night...hiiiiii.....
I pass this one, thankyouverymuch

Aaaaaand I almost asked why a hotel built atop an abandoned mine was a bad idea. I would only call it a bad idea if the hotel was built atop a cemetery... I mean, Malaysia has MINES Wonderland... eep!

Err...dont we forget that in Malaysia, we are also building a shopping mall, a office tower building, a hotel tower and an apartment suite on a land that used to be a prison that carried out death penalty (by hanging). I don't think I ever want to go there or stay there at night. -__-"

The webtoon was pretty good but I would say it has a better concept. This group of friends stranded in a remote area trope for horror movies sound decidedly less creative...but maybe the 'mysterious event' will lend a different twist to the set up.

Won't see this for two reasons: 1) I hate horror movies. The last "horror" movie I watched was Queen of the Damned. 2) 3-D gives me headaches so I just avoid them altogether.

He will be forever oppa maknae to me. The plot looks like classic horror story. I'm not brave enough to watch this.

I love horror movies, and I love them even more when the killer is something or someone the victims can't see and wrap all that in 3D and I'm a happy camper.

I get annoyed when the characters and plot elements are so cliched that I predict the order in which they are all going to die.

I'm currently working on a script in which an evil cult is trying to cast a curse on technological societies throughout the world via the Internet. The key elements in the chant that binds the reader are in a ancient Austronesian language resembling Indonesian. They plan to get millions of people to read the six random words in order, by posting them on blogs and asking commentors to translate the words into their own language.
I'm thinking an alliance of busy-buddy, officious middle-school language teachers from various countries would be the cult's toughest opponents.

Nope, this Jung Yu-mi is still a little green. The older Jung Yu-mi (the veteran movie actress) is the one from Our Sunshi

Yeah I see now the Yumi from Rooftop, my mobile had cut out her picture.
Haven't seen many good horror movies, and I don't keep a list either, lovely cast though.
