That was one of the 1st Kpop songs I heard and everytime I listedned to it, it got stuck in my head for the rest of the day, I think stumbled on a Japanese single once.
I heard H.O.T. and Shinhwa through a friend from school.

Its Funny, there are some kids who are fans of Eugene and Yoon Eun Hye but have never heard of SES or Baby VOX. Then they see an SES and Baby VOX MV for the first time and say "OMG! IS THAT EUGENE?!" or "OMG! IS THAT YOON EUN HYE"?!?!?!??!!
Lol. Yes, yes it is. Shocking, isn't it? Lol.

my letter to javabeans:
dear javabeans,
I know you're busy being the drama goddess herself, watching and recapping dramas for us, but i am just curious if all that space traveling through the 4th dimension has made you aged ?
Love, Linda
p.s I think I am obsessed with your site, I click refresh way too many times throughout my day for it to be a normal human routine.

Join us at the allkpop forums!! You'd be an unni there. I'm 18 too, but I happen to like these rookie kpop groups where the members are all really young. For example, there's this new group from Starship Entertainment called Boyfriend, and my favorite member is only 15....cue epic tragic music... and the piercing echo of a girl screaming "Noooo!!! I have become a pedonoona!!!!" Plus, I have to deal with young upstarts who call him oppa!!! grrrr....

@Nim
Yeah, but back then the internet (or PC in general) and portable media weren't like the way they are now.
Back then you really listen to those stuff in "real life". The overall experience and the degree of involvement and attachment to what you listen/see are different... welp kinda hard to explain ;0
As for the age stuff, who knows. She may be giggling and resisting the urge to come clean, might as well hahaha. Wasn't me who started it anyway *points@Linda*

I did not know any of the songs on the list since I am new to Kpop and am a late 94'er. But I got curious about the eusha eusha song. I had already heard of them because of Eric so I looked at it. Omg the mv was hilarious and dang it the song is so catchy. Ident get the eusha eusha out of my head. I am off to see H.O.T candy though I think I already know it because Top and Gd were dancing to it on the big bang documentary.

In an older episode of 1 Night 2 Days, there was a singing competition in the bus and Jiwon sang CANDY, action and all. That was how I got to find out about H.O.T. and got hooked: it's my all-time favourite K-song. The original on YouTube is really good, although not sharp. :)

I just discovered H.O.T about a month ago when I was looking at videos on youtube. Oh how I wish we had internet the way we do now, It would have been so cool to be in my late teens/early 20's and gush over how cute and awesome their music is, on another note I saw Jang Woo Hyuk's comeback performance, it was mind blowing. It's great to see and gush about Idols my age and be able to say "Oppa" even if he is only one day older than me.

Mean, in that I was sitting here listening to the Shinwa cut, had a dancing backflash, attempted a shoulder 'hustle-type" move, and triggered my bursitis. eewwOuch! Apparently, I'm not 18 anymore - my boogie days are past. Way past.

H.O.T's "Candy" is forever my jam. I'm more of the DBSK/Super Junior era, but I heard the song years ago when then-newbie Super Junior boys kept singing and dancing to them everywhere. Checked the song out and boom! I was hooked. That song ALWAYS cheers me up without fail. Same goes for "Eusha! Eusha!"
