Cha Seung-won shaves his cow mustache

HA! Cha Seung-won has finally shaved off his facial hair, showing off his new clean-cut image in a photo he uploaded to his me2day account on the 15th. Cha wrote the accompanying comment: “I’ve cut off the facial hair at last. You’ll be able to find out the reason by watching Episode 5. I’m Dokko Jin!”
The “cow” descriptor comes from the fact that the shape his hair made was the Korean word 소, meaning cow, as pointed out to Dokko Jin in Best Love’s Episode 3 by Ae-jung’s nephew. Ever since, Jin has been self-conscious about it, going so far as to cover up his face when talking to Ae-jung — it’s one of those things you may have never thought of, but once you see it, you just can’t un-see it.
I just love that the proud movie star is motivated to fuss with his appearance because of a crush on a girl. It’s exactly the thing Hwang Tae-kyung (Jang Geun-seok) did in an early episode of You’re Beautiful, when Mi-nyeo expressed a preference for his older hairstyle, only to have him immediately go to the salon to bring it back. And then go through verbal backflips to explain that he changed it because HE liked it, not because she had anything to do with it AT ALL. Can’t wait to see how Jin explains the change.
Granted, the 소 was much more pronounced in Athena (below, left), when it had practically had a life of its own. It actually doesn’t look so bad in Best Love, but I’ve been wanting to see him clean-shaven for so long that I’m doing a little happy dance now. Thank you, Hong sisters!

yeah, he looks so young. maybe it;s the reason why he had it grown in the first place, because he has baby face =). Anyway, i think another reason he shaved it in episode 5 is because his rival is so clean and neat =). Maybe Ae-jung will voice it out, so I think he also wants to compete on that factor. =)
Gosh, it's only monday... we, who thrives on JB & GF's blogs, needs to wait till thursday =(. waaaah, that's 3 long days away

don't you just hate it when people point things out you never noticed and then when they do you can't help but see it every time. Haha. Poor Jin- we call know how Tae Kyung (YAB) went and tried over and over to explain that his change was his decision so i can't wait wait to see with Jin does. Since Jin is older he should be more mature then Tae Kyung. But hey they're guy.... and infront of a crush everything goes out the window.

That's hilarious. "Cow"... that's genius. Can't wait to see episodes 3 and 4. So far, I'm liking this drama very much and enjoying good acting. This drama has potential to go from "liking this drama very much" to "love this drama". Fingers-crossed.

In best love episode one, when they are watching his television ad, he does not have any facial hair. I had to rewind it just to be sure because I thought he looked so much better without it. Can't wait for episode 5.

Oh you little insecure Pantyman!!! I can believe Dokko Jin having it shaven off, he is all image, isnt he? He still looks sooooooooo fine! No matter with facial hair or not! I think it makes him more in character. Pantyman looks good whether he is wearing weird shorts, brocolli hairdo to cow facial hair...he still oozes hotness!!! CSW is just about one of the hottest man out there.
He looks hot either way, but much clean-cut without the mustache.

After seeing CSW in City Hall I don't think I can look at the other pretty boys the same way. If you like him here you should check out City Hall, just have to give it a few episodes at the beginning... once it picks up, you can come back and appreciate the beginning

Actually, I always thought he kinda looks like me....you know - big hands, big feet, big ears? He's much taller than me though, in case you haven't noticed. why are you going around warning mice about me? On a brighter note I see you have lee sang yoon on your list of men. I thought I was the only one who noticed that bunny! he's got such cute dimples. I think they're better than hyun bin and ju sang ook's put together.

I'm glad to know there are others here who prefers him with mustache. I'll miss it surely. I even loved his facial hair in Athena. I'm all for clean look but deym CSW took 'stash to another level, lol. He's prolly the first person I ever loved with facial hair. He was just so hot with it. He's still is, though.
