So we’ve had a couple sets of stills from 49 Days already, and now we’ve got a few more sets of shots from the upcoming drama.

I’m trying not to get my hopes up, but I have to admit that a lot of my drama expectations for the immediate future are riding on this one, since there aren’t any other shows coming along that pique my interest right now. PLEASE DON’T FAIL ME, 49 DAYS.

The first quartet of images below give us our main character (Nam Gyuri) back in her school days with her besties, Seo Ji-hye and Bae Geu-rin, who maintain their friendship into adulthood. It appears Nam Gyuri’s the leader, with Seo a solid No. 2 who later turns into rival, and Bae the one in between.

Then we zip forward to the present day, where Nam is a happy bride-to-be, here at her engagement party to her honey, the smart, successful, and hot Bae Soo-bin, on the fast-track to a life of wedded bliss…

…if only for the car accident a week before her wedding that knocks her into a coma. A detail that has me curious is Jung Il-woo‘s offer to her, as her trendy Reaper, to give her a second chance at life if she can “earn the tears” of three people unrelated to her. Does this mean she’s a bad person, or just incredibly shallow, or was she actually unhappy but didn’t know it? Or maybe she’s a nice person surrounded by people who never loved her? In any case, she’s got 49 days to earn her life back, in the body of Lee Yo-won…

Ditto! I'm resorting to this Taiwanese drama right now called Sunny happiness.. just cause no Kdrama is getting my attention right now.. I'm waiting for a recap on MIDAS to see what JB and GF thinks to decide whether I'll watch that one or not...

I feel the same way. I'm so excited for this drama, but I don't want to jinx and have it turn out to be really bad. I mean, I can't imagine how you could go wrong with a plot and cast like this, but you never know...I'm praying with you jb

nam gyuri freaks me out, to be honest. she's pretty, but she's got those huge eyes and she's so doll-like, it's creepy. dolls and clowns give me the shivers and she looks like she'll give me nightmares if i watch the drama. in the previous post on this drama, this picture was posted:

Yep she freaks me out too. Can't stand those too big black irises, like some black hole something. But she just one thorn among the rest of super casts so I'm just gonna ignore her gladly. She will not appear too often anyway, since her soul reside inside Lee Yo-won.

I thought the same thing about that picture. I keep hoping that it's just how she looks in pictures, and might look less scary in videos (which makes no sense, but here's to optimism). Jung Il-woo will solve that little problem.

Being a body snatcher drama, 49 Days needs an appearance by The Great Oska. He should just have seat in every scene and allowed to do anything he wants. Because Oska does anything he wants! OSKA!!!

im all in because of bae so bin... although i was reading some of the articles on the net about this drama and i have a sinking feeling bae will again be in second lead who will end up loosing the girl. come on drama overloards, cant you just let bae so bin get the girl and have a happy ever after??? i've seen him in three dramas and drama overlords always snatch the girl from him (shining inheritance and dong yi)... and even when he played gay best friend to soseono in the uberhit jumong, he still didnt get the boy (mr. curly hair)....

JB, I know how you feel and I'm so with you on that.

I've been haunting the video stores and picking up asian movies because I'm so desperate from kdrama withdrawal. I've been rewatching/buying older series and I've even considered watching 9 in 2 outs before I go totally nuts!

i really dun know if this drama can work...Bcoz it is the fact that Lee Yo-won is the lead actress in this drama so if the girl entered her body and need to made 3 ppl to shed tears for her ??? erm i still dun know how this drama could wrk but i love the actors casting so i'm going to watch this for sure!!!

Really 49 DAYS beat up my hope to 90% !!
no matter what.. i will wacth this drama whatever the story, i think i've got 49Days-itis already and can't be cured.. LOL

and it seems 49Days keeps spreading the pandemics.. :)

49 Days is a big budget drama....

they have to pay for 6 main cast.. most of them are A class actors and actress.

and Nam Gyu Ri's Braisemaid.. also expensive.
and the accident scene take 100 million won... great....

why do lee yo won, jo hyun jae and jung il woo choose 49 Days for their comeback? especially for JHJ, dicharging from Millitary Service and then go back, he must pick the best role to make people aware that "hei , I'm back !" :)

and for Lee Yo Won, as she made a big-big Hit in Queen Seon Deok , gained so much fans and awards here and there... she knows everybody's waiting for her new drama, almost 1 and a half year resting, reading many scripts offered to her, and Why does she choose THIS?
there must be something GOOD... :)

as for Jung Il Woo, he actually can pick another drama as LEAD actor, like his friends Lee Min Hoo or Kim Bum, but why does he choose 49 Days as he will "JUST" become 3rd lead (i think Bae Soo Bin will still be the 2nd?!)

those actress and actors must have a strong reason why they choose this drama...

i just feel this drama will be great.... :)

I was surprised about Jo Hyun Jae taking this role, but I guess he wanted to ease into his comeback.

This is a loaded cast, especially for a show that's not a daeha, so I'm not sure how the story itself will flow.

Dear Show:

One of my criteria of a great drama is the good chemistry of a lead couple/2nd couple. And this drama of yours has all that.

How i wish that in your story... Nam Gyuri will end up and fell in love with our eye popping candy reaper...Jung II Woo wherein in the end Nam has decided to move on with her life and let go of her Bae Sobin. Because...Bae eventually falls for Nam's BF and rival later on - Seo...

Ofcourse, i would love Lee Yo Won fell for Jo hyun Jae but Lee's true feelings for him got entangled because of Nam's soul.

Oh, Show...why do i have these thoughts?

Maybe it only shows that i've been over "gaga" and "gugu" waiting for you to SHOW.
