Looking at how PD Kwak and writer CSI working with Chuno casts, I wonder how he going to handle these 2 superstars-yeah, with Chuno teams there were always harmonious enviroment, the casts always discussed and supported each other and PD is very humble type of guy-I'm not worry abt Rain cos he is very professional, but not sure abt Jeon (cause not much info abt her personalities in Eng site) -is she easy to be with?
Part of the reason why Chuno is so successful is the professionalism of the main and supporting casts and also production team-very good camaraderie.

However, if she gets the role, together with Rain and with the touch of PD Kwak, there is something to look forward to.

some of you are under estimating Jeon Ji Hyun as an actress. She's a really good actress, she just hasn't been choosing the right projects lately. If you watch her in something else like The Uninvited or Il Mare, you'll see that she has the acting chops!

I agree with you. Jeon Ji Hyun is actually a pretty good actress but it's been awhile until we've seen her with a much stronger role that fits her well. I'm glad to hear that she's planning on making a Korean drama comeback though! It's definitely long awaited and whichever role she picks, I'm sure she'll choose wisely!

And yes, they would make a sexy pairing. This 'Fugitive' drama is a romantic comedy but rumor has it that it will be a melodrama. If these two do end up pairing together, no doubt it will be hyped for sure, but that's a given! What it will come down to is the material so let's hope that the storyline and the characters are mature, interesting, and worthwhile! :D

ah... i have to agree with starletbang with this one. the movies i have seen her in are daisy and my sassy girl and i didn't really find anything extraordinary about her acting... she just can cry really easily. i would prefer a more skilled actress, sans the star factor, to act with rain. furthermore, rain and jeon ji hyun? too many divas in a project, instead of allowing each other to shine, i'm afraid that they might stifle each other instead. but i don't know, i want to see the chemistry:)

I senses double standard when someone trying to protect their idols-always blaming on bad scripts or not good project, some might be true. but some totally just can't act-not that hard to see who can or can't act, or just rely or popularity. Most of overrated are actually 'media darling' and she is just the one.

Oh I completely agree with you regarding the double standard. But for me, I still think that Jeon Ji Hyun is a good actress (My Sassy Girl, Winstruck, il Mare, and Daisy) but I never thought of her as my 'idol' so I am in no way protecting her.

In fact, my favorite actress is Son Ye Jin but the odd thing is that I don't like most of her movies--it's her versatility and the fact that she challenge herself as an actress that I look up to.

So rather than double standard, it's just based on the person's preference and to say an actor or an actress is a bad or good actress is subjective anyway. With that said, I still believe Jeon ji Hyun is a good contender for Bi Rain's new Kdrama. Plus, they would look great together and I believe they'll also compliment each other well on-screen which can work at everyone's advantage. ;)

While JJH is no Jeon Do-yeon as an actress (how many are?), she is perfectly fine as an actress (haven't seen JJH in a role where I cringed at her acting, unlike, say LDH - who was pretty bad in "Chuno").

I don't think LDH is bad in Chuno, there are some part she was excellent, most of the write up abt her is actually she is TOO PRETTY and not approriate in Sageuk, which I found so absurd. Her milky white complexion is the one that cause all the problem.

Actually, after seeing her in ChunO, I don't want her to be in this kind of role again, (male escort), she need to venture something new, such a waste for such talented girl.

How abt Bae Noona from God of Study, such underrated actress but recognized by the critics, I love her.

Just remembered, before Chuno, not all big2 names want to join PD Kwak project, but now all rushing in and their managements also heat up the effort.
Hope PD Kwak will maintain his artistry style and not succumb to the demand by outsiders especially now he is hiring big stars.

if it's a melodrama or a romantic comedy, then i will love to see Kim Sun Ah with Rain in this drama. she is a talented actress and definately we've already seen that she has got chemistry with a capital C, with Rain.

LDH in "Chuno" had basically 3 facial expressions that she kept using over and over, and I had to keep myself from laughing during the "emotional
crying scenes.

It's quite possible that LDH is better suited for modern roles, but I don't think prettiness has anything to do w/ it; there have been plenty of pretty actresses who have done well in Sageuks.
